Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. He did not know how to feel about being back in the city. Being back ignited some of his old scars, back when he had it all. Omega huffed next to the Escomb Channel and dipped his white paw into the lazy river. The brown tabby always loved this place, but it lost its charm somewhere along the line. For whatever reason the slow waters did not soothe his soul, or lack thereof, anymore. He chuckled under his breath and turned away. Perhaps it was for the best. He lifted his bone necklace over his neck and padded away. Maybe he did not deserve tranquility... yeah, that was it.
She didn’t get much of a chance to have a relaxed moment. The pressure was fully on the grey tabby. Her mind was a bit far off as she walked, causing her to run directly into the tom.
He was not paying too much attention either, the tom grunted with the impact of the she-cat. He hissed and looked back at the she-cat. "What the heck was that? Looking where you're going."
Octavia took a moment to respond, as if trying to gather her head. “I.. sorry.” She mumbled, side stepping to move out of his way, her eyes not even meeting Omega’s. Octavia flicked her tail, waiting for him to move off.
He flexed his claws as he glared at the she-cat. How had he not recognized her? This would be fun. "No, you're not. You never are." The brown tabby shouldered her as she tried to move out of the way. "Go back into the sewers where you belong."
She felt shock spread through her fur. It spiked up and made her narrow her eyes. Omega had once been a cat that she had respected, and it had once seemed he felt the same. Now here he was, treating her as much lesser than himself. It made her lip curl, and the slight fire seemed to be fanned.
His shoulder making it to where she couldn’t move, made a slight hiss push from her lips. “Move.”
A wave of amusement and flowed across the tom's features. She still had some fight left in her after running for so long, but it did not change his resolve. The she-cat's weakness glowed like the midday sun. Perhaps even cowards grow bored of themselves. "Make me move. "
Octavia had done what she could to remain as invisible as possible while she stayed with Primal Instinct. The past Absum Lux cats struggled with not going to her for problems or permissions. In fact, she’d already been threatened by Funk once previously, that if she didn’t make these cats fall in line and go to him, she’d pay. The league cats had even set to making her a bit of their personal punching bag, and Octavia simply let it happen due to keeping the coalition cats safe as possible. She was taking on a lot for them, and some of them didn’t even know it.
Her pine green eyes burned as she gazed at the tom, anger flaring in her body langue as she held his gaze. Finally, she took a step back, a loud snort escaping from her nose as she turned around. “Leave me alone.” The last thing she needed was more attention from a fight with her previous superior. Octavia’s furs were still ruffled, but her back was turned to him now, her eyes locking on a spot near the inner walls of the church that she could go to and perhaps brush off this encounter.
His bloodstained teeth appeared under his muzzle as a grin widened across his features. She had fight left in her pitiful existence, but refused to tap into it. He chuckled as he unsheathed his claws and tensed his hind legs to prepare for a pounce. Would he be exiled for this? Certainly. Would it be worth it? Yes. He was doing her a favor. His claws scraped the ground for a moment before a low growl escaped from his throat.
Just as he was about to leap he caught a pair of icy blue eyes watching him from not so far away. His heart skipped at beat and he relaxed his stance into something more passive. He wanted her to suffer, and this place clearly was not the best location for it. Instead he settled for a hiss as he walked away from her.
The white Bengal watched the dark tabby disappear with into the city's alleyways with a feigned interest. The young tom's job was Internal Affairs, so he had to show some sort of interest in this kind of stuff. Mirza turned his head to Octavia and simply cocked his head to the side.
She could feel the tension in the air. She’d paused when she’d thought he would pounce on her. While she had her back turned... the tom has changed. She didn’t know who he was any longer. Octavia felt her eyes glaze over as the weight of things settled on her back. He’d once been a cat she’d trusted, but the seasons had not been kind to either of them.
The sudden sight of another made her gaze shift. Then, Omega had gone.
Pine eyes turned again to Mirza. Her lips pressed together. This cat were only doing his job... nothing more. Octavia gave no thanks to him, instead, simply turned back to the area she’d spotted and settled down there. Her body was too sore and beaten to even put effort forth for anything at the moment.
Her eyes closed, and she curled into a tight ball.
