younglings must declare a district before being given a mentor
MENTOR REASSIGNMENTS
Levi'a-kun (stardance ) → Akabane (@samiam ) Compared to his last ceremonies, these were a good bit larger. What was especially surprising was how he ended up with a connection to all these new trainees. Sure, most of them being his own kits was convenient, but still. Time sure flew. It felt like only yesterday when he was sneaking some of them into the league. But now was the time of new beginnings. The church was like a new coat of paint on old walls, different enough to make him feel on top of the world but still not completely different.
Lined up in front of him were the six soon to be trainees. Scanning over them, he had a feeling what some of them would choose, and others were a toss up. Clicking his tongue, he watched them suddenly stand at attention. It was a nice little power trip, he had to admit. All eyes fell to the Nemesis, and he reveled in it.
"Let's start with... well, anyone really. Do any of you know which district you'd like to pledge yourselves to?"
A sandy colored cat took a stepped forward with a flare in her walk. Yayf-kun did not always know what she wanted to do here, but she knew where to start for now, and it was with getting information. Her cornflower blue eyes rose to meet her Nemesis's almost as if she were challenging him, but the young she-cat was not that stupid. She had aspirations, but she recognized it was not quite her time to shine. Give it a few more moons, and sure. Maybe then.
Never breaking eye contact with the leader, Yayf-kun borderline growled her declaration. "I'm pledging myself to the punishment district."

Einheria-kun grinned at her sisters she wanted to be the first to pledge herself to a district. She was about to place her paw forward and take a step before her father. When another youngling broke the ranks. Einheria-kun let out an annoyed huff as her fluffed up tail twitched. Her violet/grey eyes narrowed in the direction of the other molly. Her choice in district that she had picked out had been forgotten. She was drawing a blank and she randomly chose Foreign Affairs. It sounded like a great place for her to go on adventures. "I am pledging myself to the Foreign Affairs district." Einheria-kun meowed.

Riamu-kun was so excited to be given a modicum of freedom that she already planned to strike out on her own in the next week. Her paws shook slightly with her frenetic energy as she bounded forward, nearly knocking her half-sister aside. "I pledge myself to the Foreign Affairs district, father," she drawled in her honeyed voice, sitting down with a face of self-satisfaction.
She would've been happy as an Ambassador as well, but had ultimately decided she was more interested in clan doings than rogue doings.

Nagi-kun has been too busy noting all the paint chips to pay attention to what her father was saying. Only when other started stepping forward did she rein in her attention. So they were deciding districts, interesting. Ambassadors and Foreign Affairs were out, far to much she had yet to see just in the territory. That left either Punishment or Internal Affairs, either could be interesting though she could not decide. Perhaps she could just declare Enforcement? Though she did not know if that was a possibility. What to do, what to decide, so many decisions.
Not even aware of what she was doing, she stepped forward. “I think I’ll join Internal Affairs, it should be nice.” Her voice was airy and her gaze was upwards towards the few arches that remain. It could come off almost laughable that she wanted a place we’re paying attention was the whole goal. Her parentage was the only reason she wasn’t just a giant joke amongst the league.

Hayate-chan listened to each of her siblings with intent, rubbing her paws against the ground beneath her. Admittedly, none of them sounded appealing. At least, she couldn't see any that she would be decent at. Glancing to the side at the row of younglings next to her, she shuddered at how they all looked the same. It was only thanks to their fur colors and voices Hayate could even tell them apart. And that took most of her kit life. Going into Foreign Affairs and Ambassadors seemed impossible, but so did Internal Affairs. And while Punishment would seem like no brainer, she... just didn't want to. Ugh, even after all the time she spent thinking about it, she had no idea.
So, the small bengal wasn't given a choice. Like a puppet on a string, she was pulled forward by something unknown. As a marionette, she felt completely out of control. It was terrifying yet slightly comforting, but the words that came from her gave a cause for alarm. "Then I'll go to Ambassadors, father." Eyes widening, she took a step back and sat down. What? Why Ambassadors? How was she even going to do this? She'd hang her head if she was allowed.

The Nemesis watched each trainee step up. Most of them weren't too surprising, though there were a few oddballs. It was nice that at least every district had one new trainee. There were some with a little more power, but they were all relatively close for the most part. Though whenever he opened his mouth to give them a mentor, another cat stepped out. With Hayate-kun came a lull, and he quickly took advantage of it.
"Okay, time. Hmmm... eenie meenie miney .... alright! Nagi-kun, from today you are a trainee for Internal Affairs. Your mentor is Alexandria (Honeystorm ). Yayf-kun, you are a trainee for the Punishment district. Your mentor is Driscal (Spot ). Hayate-kun, as a trainee of the Ambassadors district, your mentor is Reprise (paige.rylee ). Last but not least, Einheria-kun and Riamu-kun, you two are in Foreign Affairs. Einheria-kun, your mentor is Lorah (Honeystorm ). And Riamu-kun, your mentor is Nora (@encre ). That just leaves you, Mephilia-chan."
Reprise glanced over at Hayate-kun, a slight smile crossing her Bengal features. She hadn't expected to become a mentor for her first ceremony but at the same time she felt honored. This would give her a chance to prove to the group that she really wasn't just a mere kittypet. Also, the thought of being able to implant her ideas and ways through her teachings seemed extremely appealing to the she-cat. Reprise really hoped she could change the hearts of some of these cats and now that her brother had given her the chance at this, it was pretty much now or never.
She dipped her head at her brother, to acknowledge his choice and to almost say thank you. She felt pleased that he was giving her a chance. Excitement buzzed inside her.
