Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She let out a sigh as she raised to her paws. She moved quietly through the tunnels, letting her tail drag along the walls. She looked bored, but a lot of the time, she seemed like she was bored. This wasn't always true, she just had a face that looked rather unamused with life unless she was strictly focused on one thing or another. She wasn't focused on anything in her absent wanders...
It was in wanders like this that she often found trouble, wanders where she wasn't paying any attention to anything. Normally, the trouble was something she could walk her way out of. But this time...
"Oope," she hmphed as she walked straight into the commander. Maybe she wouldn't be able to just walk out of this one ....
After the flood damaged their lands Raijin finally had something to keep his paws busy: clearing away the debris that had washed over the surface. The tunnels were protected against flooding except for a few auxiliary tunnels that collapsed under the strain of the water, but his Mercenary Superior had advised against clearing those right away. Instead, he'd focused for the last moon on cleaning up the surface, and was grateful for the work to keep him busy. Now, finally, he had a chance to start clearing the tunnels. He started with the closest one to Headquarters, a short tunnel segment between the post and a neighboring tunnel that had been clogged with a wide branch that jammed between the walls.
Raijin spent the better half of of the day breaking off the small branches to make it easier to push, then gathered the twigs in his jaws. He trotted down the tunnel to take them back to the surface and bumped straight into one of the scouts. He stumbled, dropping the bundle of sticks, and they scattered at his paws. The Commander flexed his sore jaw, not looking forward to picking up all those sticks again, and glanced up at the other Scout, his brow furrowing in concern.
"Everything alright, Daria? Were you coming to get me?"

She looked a little frazzled, which wasn't exactly the most unusual for the young she-cat. Too often, she seemed to look a little frazzled, which was both endearing because of her small, fluffy stature, and a little concerning.
"Uh... sorry...." she meowed in embarrasment, adding a "sir." at the end just because she felt like she was supposed to. What a great first interaction with the Commander, a part of her thought bitterly as she flicked her whiskers. "I wasn't looking for you," she then continued. "Unless... well... Unless you needed somethin' from me! Was I supposed to be coming to get you?" Her nerves were making her quite awkward, which was not something she was exactly fond of, but here she was.
The crease between his eyes smoothed as he relaxed again, and the corner of his mouth tugged up in the beginnings of a smirk at her 'sir.' He wasn't used to the formality yet; despite his position, most cats figured out the Commander was much more laid back than the ones they were used to, and he was usually loose with titles when they weren't strictly necessary. "No, I was just making sure," he assured her, "I haven't been around Headquarters much today. I'm glad they're keeping everything in order without me."
He studied her carefully with his intense blue eyes, noting the soft frizz in her fur, her nerves, and smiled slightly. "If you weren't looking for me, I'll get out of your way. You must be busy." He took a step back to create space between them again and his gaze drifted back down to his scattered pile of sticks.
