Rainbowfrost was in a bad mood today. Every little thing annoyed the tortoiseshell she-cat and the last thing she wanted to do was clean up a dead rat that had apparently fallen down a hole, been half eaten by ants and left to rot there in SpringClan territory. Who cares about a little bit of bad smell? But no - SpringClan cats would not stand for something smelly. Of course. To make things worse, Rainbowfrost didn't really like anyone in SpringClan. No one knew she had betrayed the clan, but it definitely put a sour taste in her mouth when talking to other cats.
The she-cat paced the entrance to SpringClan angrily, what made things worse was that she had to do this clean up job with another cat, she wondered who it would be. Hopefully somecat with a meek personality who would just get the job done, so that Rainbowfrost could go back to practicing her fighting skills.
Bee, now formally Beedust, was pleased to be assigned her first task other than hunting- it showed that Blackstar was truly starting to trust her. Even with something as menial as a dead rat. The small ginger tabby was waiting by the exit to camp, knowing that she was supposed to working with someone named Rainbowfrost, though she didn't know the face that matched the name yet. Though she assumed that it was this she-cat that was approaching rather sulkily.
Beedust bit back a smile. "You must be Rainbowfrost. I'm Bee- ah, Beedust, now, I guess." The sleek former loner was still adjusting to clan names, and was trying to start the conversation out on the right foot. She hoped the other cat's anger was a passing thing. "We're supposed to go clear out that dead rat, right?"

Rainbowfrost rolled her eyes. Of course she was paired with some cat who didn't even know their name. The tortoiseshell she-cat sauntered towards Beedust, her ears twitching with annoyance. "Yeah, that's me." She meowed, with a huge sigh. "Sadly."
She glanced at the she-cat that stood in front of her. Rainbowfrost could tell she was not clan born, she hadn't seen her around here much. A newbie. Wonderful. With all honesty, Rainbowfrost wasn't a huge fan of SpringClan. She still didn't understand why cats would join out of choice, but then again she didn't really know why she still lived here cleaning out dead rats. Was that really where her life was at?
"New 'round here Bee- Beedust?" she smirked, wondering how the fellow she-cat would respond.
"Quite new, actually. I haven't been here long enough to become jaded yet," Beedust said with a smile that dulled the sarcastic edge to her voice. She had dealt with plenty of cats like Rainbowfrost in her time as a loner, and had developed her own routine of striking back against overly bitter cats. She was confident that she could handle the outing with this clan cat.
"Shall we go then? You look like you have a lot on your plate." Beedust stood, rolling out a kink in her neck before starting out of camp, not looking to see if Rainbowfrost was keeping up. She wished it was Thistlemask accompanying her, but she also never would voice that desire out loud.

Ears twitching with annoyance, Rainbowfrost sauntered after Beedust. The tone in the other she-cat's voice frustrated her but than again, pretty much everything frustrated or annoyed the short tempered she-cat. She was excited to get this job over and done with.
"I mean, we don't really have much of a choice, do we now?" She grumbled, flicking her tail at the low lying grass growing alongside the path leading out of SpringClan's camp. "So, what made you join DumpClan?" She retorted. Rainbowfrost still couldn't get her head passed the fact that some cats chose to join SpringClan.
Beedust wondered why this tortoiseshell was so discontent here in Springclan- she was enjoying her time here so far. While she wasn't the first to seem displeased, she was certainly the most vocal. Ignorance bred contempt, she supposed. The ginger tabby took a moment to think before responding.
"I joined because I came from a loner group that was far worse. I assume that you were raised here? Why haven't you left, if you hate it so much?" Beedust was genuinely curious as to why Rainbowfrost chose to stay. Her eyes wandered around the changing leaves as they walked, enjoying the colors.

The tortoiseshell she-cat turned to look at Beedust, a glint of thought crossing her dark yellow eyes. "I suppose DumpClan is better than some other horrible places." This was probably the first non-judgmental thing she'd said all day, which surprised Rainbowfrost. Her mood was slowly calming down. Still, she kept her nose high in the air, her eyes glinting with fire. "Y'know, honestly... I donno. Maybe because I tried but failed to move. There's so much drama in other places I want to see and be part of and SpringClan only offers quietness." She paused. Had she said too much? She hoped Beedust wouldn't pry too much, the she-cat had many secrets she did not want let lose.
With a slight hiss to her tone, she added, "why would you care anyway?" Hopefully, this remark would keep Beedust off the scent and back to the job they had at paw. It always worked so far for Rainbowfrost.
Beedust found this she-cat interesting, if not slightly annoying. "Just idle curiosity, I guess," Beedust shrugged. "I've never been super close to groupmates in the past. It's a nice change of pace, being here among cats who, for the most part, care about me." She stopped talking as they reached their end destination, and the scent of crowfood filled the air. Beedust wrinkled her nose, pacing forward to examine the hole.
It was about three feet deep, too far to easily reach in and grab the dead mouse. The entrance was narrow and dark. Beedust sat back on her haunches, turning her gaze on Rainbowfrost. "So how do you think we should go about this?"

Rainbowfrost sniffed, she could see where the other she-cat was coming from slightly... well, only slightly. Of course, Rainbowfrost hated admitting it when she could see where others were coming from, she pretty much hated stepping in other cat's paws. It wasn't something she was used to. "The cats here are pretty chill - though honestly half of them hate me, so in return I hate them and the clan back." She growled, upset at how truthful her last statement was. "Not that I care." She added in defense.
The smell of rotten flesh filled her nose before she could throw a complete fit, it was overpowering. Glancing down at the deep dark hole, Rainbowfrost wished she could be anywhere else. She didn't fancy going down there. Every hair on her body stood up, her tail twitched. "Eh, we could always just leave it." She suggested with sarcasm edged all over her tone. Of course SpringClan would just send them back again if they came back without fixing the horrible smell.
