Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
'cause all my current problems are based around the past
Maybe she didn't care anymore. They hadn't given her much reason to. It had been moons since she left and nothing had happened to her. Perhaps that was why she was laid out amongst the scattered white petals, in clear view of anyone who came by from either side of the border. She had a single flower cupped between her forepaws, tuning out much of the rest of the world in favor of training bright orange eyes on its tiny details. Perhaps it was confidence that drove this behavior, throwing out every condition that had been set for her before she joined this Clan.
She knew that wasn't true, though. She could tell others that, even try to convince herself of it, but it was apathy that led her to not care what may happen. She didn't fear these cats, a step up from where she had come from across the border, but things were hardly any better. She never felt like she fit, a wolf trying to play at being a sheep. These cats weren't soft, but they were far kinder than she. She just didn't match. And no matter if it were true or not, she could never shake the certainty of eyes always on her and whispers behind her back. They didn't want her here. They were only waiting for the moment she inevitably slipped up. And she wouldn't blame anyone who truly suspected her. But this was the only place she felt she could even pretend to be safe... Maybe she was tired of being safe and alone. In SunClan she had power. And she fit in. She was just like everyone else there, and despite Glowstar's insistence of that sameness being a bad thing, wasn't it worth it to belong somewhere? Not that she could do anything now. She was a traitor. She could never return, unless she enjoyed the idea of being slaughtered by cats that had once been her peers as punishment.
So lost in her thoughts, Twistedecho didn't notice her unsheathed claws until the delicate flower trapped between them was torn to shreds. She stared at it for a moment, wondering if she could find some twisted comparison to her own life, before she lifted her gaze. Was that sound her imagination? Or was she not truly alone? "What do you want?" she called to the air, only turning her head a fraction to one side and then the other to see if she could spot anyone nearby.
Knightpaw had been out practicing his tracking skills. His brother had gone out on a patrol earlier and he was trying to see if he could track his brother's movements across the territory.
At Twistedecho's call he jumped, head whipping in her direction.
"Great StarClan! What are you shouting for?" Knightpaw asked. "I'm just practicing my tracking."
He didn't know much about Twistedecho, he'd heard she was a SunClan cat... a clan that he still had mixed feelings over.
Like it or not, they had seemingly manipulated him and his siblings. And hurt his mother Rubyflame by forcing her to have her kits and then trying to manipulate them away.
AT least that's what DayClan told him... and StarClan had seemed to reinforce this. But he wasn't sure what to believe. Leaving him with mixed feelings in regards to his parents and SunClan.
