Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Gentleblossom stalked through the territory careful not to disturb the debris that lay scattered at her paws, she was a small she-cat with a rather fitting name, it matched her personality almost perfectly. She had gone out for the morning to stretch her legs and hunt, though she was a nursery aid in the clan she often took a bit of time to do things such as this when the kits of the clan were being looked after by another.
Gentleblossom paused in her stalking as a rustle caught her attention, she lowered herself slowly and as she spotted the form of a small brown mouse she propelled herself toward it unaware of the withered vine twirled around her paw. As she left the ground the vine tightened, pulling her forcefully back to the ground and scaring the mouse off. "Mouse-dung!" She looked back at her paw, shaking the vine from it until she was free. "Hopefully no one saw that." She mumbled, her ears warm.
It was the rustling that caught Littlelamb's attention just as he was about to pounce. Sadly, it also caught the rabbit's attention, and it fled. Just as the small tom was about to chase after it, a mouse scampered across his paw, and he reeled back with an almost silent scream. Almost. A sound of surprise still escaped him, much to his embarrassment. By the time he recovered his senses, both mouse and rabbit were long gone. "Startled by a mouse," he muttered to himself, turning around in the direction the mouse had come from. Of course he would be jumpy, he had spent moons trying to avoid traps set by his father. But he was gone, so there was no excuse anymore for a mouse to scare him so.
Still mumbling to himself, he came upon Gentleblossom, who almost seemed to look as embarrassed as he felt. Quickly, he cleared his throat, suddenly remembering his scream from earlier. If she was this close by, does that mean that she had heard it? "Uh, I, um," he stumbled, unsure of what to even do in this situation. Had she seen him get startled by a mouse? Did she know?

She watched her mouse scuttle away when an unexpected scream sent a shiver down her spine, quickly she got to her paws, eyes round when Littlelamb appeared and began stumbling over words. The scream must have come from him, but what caused it. "Um, hi Littlelamb... is everything alright?" With her own embarrassment pushed aside she took a step closer to the tom, was he hurt or did he see something?
All that escaped Littlelamb's throat when he opened his mouth to reply was a "uhhhh", and so he cleared his throat yet again, and held his head a little higher. "Something had just startled me, that's all," he finally said. "I mean, no, of course everything is fine. Why would you think otherwise? Did something happen?" Was he being too obvious? He was being too obvious, wasn't he? He should change the subject. "You looked a bit embarrassed when I stumbled over here. Was that mouse supposed to be your prey?" Wait, maybe that was too much. Now she knew he saw the mouse. She wouldn't be able to figure everything out from that, would she? No, no, she couldn't.

"The mouse? Oh the mouse, right. Um, yes I was chasing it... rather poorly I guess." She chuckled at the thought of what had happened and shook her head, obviously not connecting the dots on what startled the tom. "What are you doing out here all by yourself?" She asked very clearly changing the subject.
