Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Mink-chan wrinkled her nose up as the cold as she crawled out of her little cave. She had never really lived in the nursery after the first few days instead, she found the perfect spot amongst the collapsed ruins. Her blue eyes stared up at the night sky, the stars almost seemed to reflect in her eyes. Feeling her belly rumble, she made her way through the ruins. Due to her nature of avoiding others she had somehow gotten herself passed over for promotion and was now past the age of a brand new trainee. Yet she had picked up some skills before she had joined up with the league. The siamese made sure to make no noise as she left camp.
Once out in the forest, Mink paused at a creek and watched silver fish swim. Perhaps she could catch one if she just mimicked the movements she had seen in some of the older cats. Sitting up straight to keep any sort of shadow from scaring the fish, one brown paw darted out. A split second later a flash of silver arched to the bank. Through sheer luck, she had caught her first fish. Now to enjoy the slimy thing.
"What's that?" Elyon-chan asked. The much younger youngling strolling up to her golden tail held high. She'd spotted Mink-chan slinking off, and it had piqued her curiosity so she'd decided to go follow after her. And it looked like she'd caught something.
She lifted her head from the now decimated carcass, "It was a fish, which is not terrible." She shrugged as she straightened up and looked over her companion. The small golden kitten was more or less an orphan just like her, though she seemed to remain more positive than Mink. She had to admit she wasn't as bad as some of the other kittens, though she did lose of few points for following her. But Mink couldn't blame her, there was only so much to do when you are all alone.
Elyon-chan did have her brothers, but she wasn't sure where Caleb-chan, Deimos-chan or Cornelius-chan were at the moment. But she had quickly learned that following Mink-chan led to exciting adventures. Plus it gave her something to do.
She sniffed the carcass and wrinkled her nose. "Bleh,"
"Much better than a frog or snake though." She stepped over the remains, now that she was fed it was time for whatever she could get into. The moon was overhead, giving her many more hours of darkness to go. Perhaps there was something to learn. With a glance over to Elyon, she flicked her tail for the kitten to follow her. A bit of help might mean new adventures that she alone had been unable to complete. She headed away from the creek that fed into Mirror Lake and towards the mountains.
Elyon-chan beamed and bounced after the older kitten looking around. "What does frog or snake taste like?" She asked tail held high. "And where are we going?" She asked curiously. "Are we gonna catch something else?" She asked blue eyes gleaming at the thought of catching something.
Mink-chan frowned slightly, "Rather chewy and like an old rat." She had thoroughly sampled as much prey as she could catch, trying to find her favorite. "I was thinking we could head up the mountains a little bit. There are these weird things that look like a mouse crossed with a rabbit." She had tried the catch them before and they were rather fast. So she didn't plan on hunting, instead she just wanted to show off the weird things.
