I am going to trial run a Video Game Club! For full transparency this school years been inconsistent on when I'm busy, but I'm hoping I can do this! Because of this I might switch the date to another Saturday and if I do that I will message everyone as far in advance as I possibly can!
Video Game Club
When is it?: We'll meet up on the last Saturday of every month at 8pm Eastern Time
Where will we meet: We'll meet in a Skype chat and initiate a Skype Call together
What is Game Club?: We will all play the same multi-player game together. Every month will be a different video game, however if popular demand permits we can play the same game
How do we choose a game?: We will vote for which game we want to play the week before Video Game Club
I feel nervous talking to people on the call, can I still join?
Absolutely! If you feel uncomfortable talking that's totally okay, but it's good to join the voice call and then put yourself on mute so you can hear others. However you're still completely welcome to opt out of the call and simply join us in the game and talk in the chatbox, whatever you feel the most comfortable with.
Do I need money to buy video games?
You do not need money to participate! I will make sure that the games are free during designated Video Game Club days. However, if for instance a few of us have Minecraft we might decide to meet up on a non club day to play them. If this happens I'll alert the rest of the club so you can make the choice to join us or wait for the official Video Game Club day where we play free multi-player games.
There are a few rules though!
1) Please be respectful when playing these games. I don't want to see any of us cyberbullying other people. If I find you're being toxic or intentionally antagonistic I will have to stop inviting you to the games. This includes being respectful to the other members of the club, not everyone's great at video games, it's about having fun. Please don't lash out at one another if someone sucks at solving puzzles or aiming their weapon.
2) No excessive swearing, no MAJOR swearing (F bomb is not okay, but s-word is okay), absolutely no racial, homophobic, sexual or otherwise offensive slurs. I can totally forgive swearing, especially if it just slips, but if you say an offensive slur you will be kicked out of the club immediately for a month or more depending on severity and intent.

Movie Club?
So I know a lot of you wanted to have a movie weekend where we'd all watch the same movie, but I'm not sure yet which video sharing app I should choose.
If anyone's got some video sharing app suggestions you can comment below and I'll look into it so hopefully someday we can start a movie club!
