Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"From what my relatives who were alive then have said. Wastedstar was originally from BrookClan but she was driven out and she found MoonClan and took advantage of the fact that at the time we were both leaderless and without a medicine cat beyond a half trained apprentice. She made herself leader and then instituted a new religion worshiping something called the Moon God.
"Some god that supposedly created MoonClan and it's territory." Timberpaw said with a shrug. "I don't believe in him or it or whatever, I still believe in StarClan."
(The Sun God's pretty cool, but man I wish the Moon God would do more. Really itching for MoonClan and SunClan to clash over their whole warring god thing)
Fernshadow blinked. "Just MoonClan territory? That'd be odd, Since NightClan's territory wasn't created by a god as far as I know. StarClan may have walked it before, but they didn't claim to create it." Maybe this moon god was in reality a cat just claiming to be a god? "Plus it'd be weird if our two bordering territories had one that was somehow didn't exist until a god stepped in, but ours already was here? Or the territory created by the moon god was just there, and then the rest came?" She trailed off shaking her head. "It's confusing sounding either way."
(I think Blue might have had an idea along those lines but who knows. Also that was entirely a joke that I told to Blue at some point and she agreed with since supposedly the Moon God made MoonClan's territory and I joked "Well doesn't that make me the Moon God." because I originally created the territory still used by MoonClan and Blue was just like "Okay sounds good." So now I'm the Moon God)
"I have no idea." Timberpaw said with a shrug. "It's what Wastedstar somehow talked most of the clan into believing somehow."
(Oooo that makes sense! You should totally ask to play the moon god then! I mean you're in moonclan and if chik doesn't wnat to play him you could XP)
Fernshadow nodded slowly. "Huh, well... it's interesting to say the least. I mean we have a new cat in our clan from BrookClan and apparently they believe in deities that aren't connected to StarClan. So maybe there are gods that share the skies with StarClan?"
(I wonder what would happen if Chik decided she didn't want MoonClan to believe in the Moon God, if he'd have to move. ooo I'll have to ask Chik, be funny if NightClan decided to adopt the Moon God if MoonClan decided they weren't interested in following him anymore. Burningstar would totally adopt a god just because, might not worship him really but she'd be like 'yeah sure you can share the skies with StarClan just don't expect us to change into a cult following you')
"I dunno, StarClan cats have always been guides. I mean sure they can grant leaders nine lives, but some of the rumors I've heard about gods makes them sound like they're a cut above StarClan... but their power is bound by the territory of their believers."
Fernshadow shrugged. "Well I guess every cat is allowed to believe what they like." She said. "Though I guess it could cause issues... some might decide to get into battles over gods... and then it's not so good."
"Well Wastedstar instituted a rule that you had to publicly follow the Moon God and she often killed cats that professed that they still believed in StarClan." Timberpaw said.
Fernshadow curled her lip, "That's terrible!" She hissed. "How could she be so cruel?" She muttered shaking her head in disgust. "We recently got a new clanmate named Lindon, and though he doesn't broadcast it, it's pretty clear he's got some different beliefs than the rest of NightClan. But we don't care, because while we mostly believe in StarClan, Burningstar wouldn't like kill cats for not believing in them."
