Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Just fine would be more than enough for him. Raijin had not sought greatness; he respected Mars but not enough to humble himself. His focus was not on being a leader, it was more of a side activity. For him it was easy to admit he'd never be the best leader, because he'd never wanted it. Not like her. His gaze softened as he tickled her lightly under the jaw with his tailtip. "And soon you will be," he promised, "I'm sure of it, if you're already deputy. Leaders don't last forever."
She warmed under her fur and looked up and him and then back down, bashfully. "Thank you, Raijin." She took one last bite of the lapwing and rose to her paws. "This was really fun but I must be going."
(Thank you!! So, I'm thinking that they meet up again when she's leader and they fall for each other and have a night together! And then maybe they meet for the third time and that's when he tells her he has feelings for someone else?)
(that sounds like fun! do you think that thread should take place while he's still commander? o:)
"Of course. I've kept you long enough," he agreed hastily, scolding himself for getting so distracted. He was supposed to talk to her, make sure she wasn't a threat, and send her on her way, not whatever this had become. He climbed to his paws after her and took a breath. "Ah-- this way is the fastest exit," he told her, starting to lead the way.
