Squirrelpool shifted in her nest in the Nursery uncomfortably. This new clan was strange and smelled weird. It was taking a lot of adjusting after growing up in Waterclan. She sometimes wondered if it would be this way at the barn? Her eyes drifted to her kits and she shook her head to rid the thoughts. No, her kits needed a clan to raise them. They didn’t seem to bothered with the move either. She sighed and rested her head on her paws. Even in a new clan, they seemed to have so much fun and she was constantly bored...
A flurry of motion sounded outside the den as she raced toward the nursery, followed by an oof as she tripped and fell, and through the entrance a fat vole came tumbling. She scrambled to her paws and bounded after her prey, snatched it up and dropped it triumphantly at Squirrelpool's paws. "Hey, Squirrelpool! How are the little ones? Mewie mew mew," Coralreef babbled affectionately at them. "I brought you this vole to eat, they're so big here! It's pretty nice in SummerClan, so warm and pretty and everyone is so friendly."
The fluffy blue she-cat swished her tail as she sat down and beamed at her cousin. She was trying her hardest to keep her family happy in the new clan, she really really really was, especially her father. It was hard work, though, even for the optimistic she-cat, and exhausting. And it didn't help that despite her best efforts, Coralreef didn't like this clan much either. It should feel the same as before, and in many ways it was just like being in WaterClan, but she was getting older, and tired of being a warrior.
An orange tabby feline had made her way towards the nursery with a piece of prey dangling from her jaws. Her eyes spotted Corelreef, and she waved her tail in greeting upon slipping inside and dropping the mouse. “Hello you two.” Gardeniacrown greeted softly.

"Hello, Coralreef." Squirrelpool greeted her cousin with a tired, but cheerful, mew. Mewie mew mew. She couldn't help but giggle at the happy she-cat's strange ways. At least someone was trying to make the clan a bit more homey and exciting. "They're doing well." She purred, resting her tail on the kittens' backs.
Her ears pricked as Gardeniacrown entered the den and she let out a purr. She didn't know the deputy well, but she seemed like a good cat. At least everyone in Summerclan seemed friendly. "Hello Gardeniacrown." She wanted to say more but couldn't figure out what to say. Hows the weather? Nah, that was super cheesy.
"That's great! I bet they're going to be great warriors when they're older. They're already little fighters to make it through that flood! Don't you think so, Gardeniacrown?" She looked up at the deputy with a sunny smile. "Did you come to see the kits too? They're just so cute!"
