”AHA, got you!” Astralpaw let out a series of excited giggles as her paws landed on one of the most beautiful feathers of all, a male Redbirds. She gingerly weaved the feather among some others in her fur to carry back to camp. She hoped the whole clan would be proud of her! It was a rare find! She skipped giddily along her daily trail, searching for a few more feathers to bring back to camp.
Mudpaw had snuck away from camp, once again. He had always had a sense of adventure and his leader nor his mother knew how to keep him contained. He was naturally curious and always felt there was more out there that he hadn't found yet. He wanted to explore every territory. Unfortunately, he had discovered every inch of Moonclan territory and today he was feeling more adventurous than usual. He wondered what lay beyond Moonclan borders. He found himself in Dayclan territory, drawn by the sound of the thundering waterfall. However, now, he was hopelessly lost in the forest surrounding the Endless Falls.
He was trying to retrace his steps when he heard the sound of approaching pawsteps. Immediately, he crouched, out of sight and watched as the Dayclan apprentice skipped closer and closer. He held his breath and began to back away, hoping to leave unnoticed. That was when he managed to step on a twig that split the silence with a loud snap! Heart racing, Mudpaw winced as he waited for the other apprentice to call him out which felt like moons. Was she going to attack him? Would she send him back to where he came? Would she take him to her camp and let the leader deal with him? Mother is going to kill me. he thought to himself.
