Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(This thread is a private to open thread, Burningstar of NightClan has arrived in BrookClan to be betrothed to one of Kerrigan's siblings as part of an alliance between BrookClan and NightClan.
This thread will start with Burningstar meeting up with Kerrigan as per their previous agreement and she will meet with Lindon her soon to be mate. After we have them meet briefly this thread will then become open to all of BrookClan. Feel free though to follow along!
Note:This thread takes place after BrookClan has defeated EarthClan in the war.)
It was a long trek from NightClan to BrookClan. Burningstar had left a day in advance so she didn't have to rush to get to BrookClan on time. Also because while she was uncertain how well this would go, she wanted to look her best. Which was easier to pull off when you weren't out of breath from rushing to meet the appointed time.
Still her heart pounded in her chest. She was walking into BrookClan alone, there was a lot of things that could go wrong that her sister Soaringbird had provided for her.
"Kerrigan could execute you! She might have this whole execution policy, where they have to sacrifice you at a certain time and she'll kill you in this ritual that'll leave you dead! Or-or she might be planning on holding you prisoner! Or she'll-"
After a certain point Burningstar had told her sister she was becoming hysterical and she should go back to the kits, they needed her. Effectively telling her sister to both stop fretting and that she couldn't tag along. She'd had to tell Voltfox to make sure her sister didn't follow her. And so far Burningstar had been relieved to see that Soaringbird hadn't. She doubted Kerrigan would be pleased to see the former (possibly traitorous in the eyes of Kerrigan) brookClan cat.
Still Soaringbird's outlandish fears of this visit leading to Burningstar's death or certain doom, Burningstar was worried more about her potential mate.
She had been yearning to have a cat by her side, and though she didn't entirely like Rasputin, she had envied her sister for finding a cat who could be her partner. Burningstar prayed to StarClan that though this union was one of amenity and for the purpose of solidifying an alliance, that she and her mate would have some happiness.
When she arrived at the BrookClan border she halted, she sat down looking up at the sky, she was a little early, so she wrapped her tail around her paws and licked her chest fur smoothing it down. Both to soothe her nerves and to ensure she looked respectable.
"I suppose that you must be Burningstar," came a deep voice as a pair of cats padded up. It was easy to see the relation between the two. He was larger than the she-cat who wore the flower crown, and his body had more fur, but they carried the same witch hazel eyes and a similar orange pelt. His had much less white than hers, and grew in longer spirts. Still, it was almost painfully obvious that the two were at least related. He carried himself in a similar way as his sister did, his shoulders back and eyes alert.
He looked at the leader, and then slid his eyes to Kerrigan, who nodded at him. His gaze slid back to Burningstar, the feline who was very possibly going to be his second mate. The phrase second sent tendrils of pain through his chest; it had been only a matter of moons since Ara died. He hadn't understood why his sister had selected him to fill this roll because of that. Couldn't Kellen had made a better selection, someone who hadn't experienced what it was like to love someone? Someone who didn't have children? Miles and Kya would be without both parents now. Kerrigan had promised him that they would be taken care of, had even offered that she could ask if they could come with him, to which he declined. After all, this was his duty and not theirs.
She had had to phrase it like that to get him to understand completely what this meant. Kerrigan had explained to Lindon that this was a mission, one that was for the good of the Monarchy. The gods had led her in selecting him to fit one the single most important role in foreign affairs other than Tsar. It was his duty to take up this burden, to integrate into another group for the betterment of the regime he was bound to. It was only then that he had accepted her offer, although he had known the whole time that it hadn't been an offer but an order the whole time.
Kerrigan looked far less aggressive than the last time Burningstar had saw her. There was even a smile on the face of the Tsar. After all, she had nothing to worry about now. Burningstar was right where she wanted her. The NightClan leader was under a two-fold threat. The first was an immediate one: if the leader did anything funny, she would be killed, if not by Kerrigan than by another member of the group. The second was more sinister: Kerrigan had the power of blackmail to keep the NightClan leader in the palm of her paw.
"I'm glad to see that you have made it, Burningstar,, I hope the trip was made in fair conditions," she greeted, as if the last time they had spoken, she hadn't debated killing the cat in cold blood. The threat lingered in the air, of course, but no one would have guessed it by her demeanor. This was for a particular reason: the cats of BrookClan did not know the rationale behind this union. They thought it was simply a marriage born of love and unity. Only Lindon knew its true cause.
"Welcome to the Monarchy's homeland. Feel free to make yourself at home. This, as you may have guessed, is Lindon," she meowed, before notioning to her brother.
Burningstar considered Lindon studying him briefly, she rather liked what she saw but stamped it out when she realized she was staring. She dipped her head to him immediately. "It's a pleasure to meet you Lindon," Trying not to sound too stiff, and trying not to feel too self conscious. This cat was to be her mate, and she felt a twinge of excitement and nervousness.
She had so many questions she wanted to ask. Was he okay with this? She hoped Kerrigan hadn't forced her brother into leaving his home to be a spy in NightClan. That alone made her feel a stab of sympathy, her dear sister had once been in BrookClan so far away from her a while ago. There were also questions of, what did he like? Would he like her? Or did he see this as nothing but a union of convenience and not be interested in anything else with her.
She tried to reign in her runaway emotions and took a deep breath. "Right, my apologies Kerrigan, just a bit... overwhelmed." She confessed, as she let it out glancing around and nodding. "Your home seems nice." She offered. There was a lot to wade through, and though the threat to her life did hang in the air... it was almost pushed to the side?
A part of Burningstar recognized what she did was horrible and death wouldn't be an unacceptable retribution. Though she didn't want to join StarClan yet, she was more concerned with well... everything else.
She was in BrookClan territory, meeting with their monarch again who came off almost happy. Which of course she was she was the one with all the power in this land. But there was curiosity, to see how the BrookClan cats would react, there was still all her emotions swirling over the fact she now had met the cat who would be her mate and the nerves and excitement that were running circles around her mind.
She felt like internally she was a mess but she managed to look somewhat composed.
"So, I am here. I am quite pleased to meet you Lindon. Will we have time to speak and get to know each other? Or... well how exactly are things going to proceed Kerrigan?" Burningstar asked turning to the she cat. She didn't have a preference but she would like to get to know the cat who would be going back to NightClan with her and who would likely be spending time in her den. "I don't mind how things will go, but I would like to be acquainted to Lindon, which firstly I will warn you that you'll likely have to sleep with me in my den for the first bit of time. I will of course be explaining to my clan your presence and our new alliance, but I think it'll solidify your position as being my mate in my clan. My den is fairly big though so you won't have to be too close... if you don't want to." She said.
Kerrigan nodded. "We appreciate that. It is quite different from territories of clans like your own, being that the territory is split in parts to the royal families. However, it suits us well." It was large, it was forested, it had a large source of water. It was perfect for the cats that preffered fishing to hunting. "It suits its purpose. I am glad you were able to find it with little problem, it seems. I can also understand why you may be overwhelmed." She nodded thoughtfully to this. It was clear she had no sympathy for this emotion, but she could understand it.
"As for how this will go, I understand the importance of you two meeting each other and getting to know each other in a private manner. Because of this, I will permit the two of you to spend a bit of time alone before the big announcement. There are several options for this. The first, you two could be invited into my den if you would like to be completely alone. Of course, I would be stationed not incredibly far from the mouth of my den, but I will only interrupt if it is made clear that my brother is in danger." She glanced over at Lindon, hoping this statement didn't bother him. "The second option is that we can lead you to the gathering area. If you are interested in BrookClan culture, this would be the ideal place. However, it isn't the most private, as felines linger there often. The final option is for you two to walk through the territory together. Since you are our guest, Burningstar, you may make the decision based on what would make you most comfortable."
She glanced to her brother and then back at Burningstar. "Whatever your decision, we will make the announcement at sun-high." or whatever the equivalent to noon is rip
Lindon was unbothered by the glance, for a two-fold reason. The first was that he knew that Burningstar could very well be forced into this against her will. The second was that, despite this being political in start, he understood that there was no reason to be aggressive towards a potential real connection between the two. if Ara had taught him anything, it was that love could be found in unusual places. In fact, he found himself doing the same thing, letting his eyes wander across her as he tried to become familiar with her shape. He did this as his sister spoke; he knew exactly what she was saying to the leader without even listening. After all, she had made sure he was aware of her plan several times. When she concluded her monologue, it was his turn to speak.
"The pleasure is mine, Burningstar," he meowed. His voice was sultry, yet it had a certain rasp to its deep tones. "As my sister explained, it would be smarter for us to get to know at least the basics of each other here while we are in a safe territory. The more we know each other, the more we can act as if we are truly mates." It was clear that the Harlow intellect that Kerrigan carried with her was not limited to just the Tsar. The whole family was strategic, each in their own way.
"I agree that that will make the front look most realistic. Kerrigan has explained that your warriors are not the most friendly towards those that don't belong, so our aliby should be as strong as possible." He offered her a smile. "As for sleeping arrangements, how close we come will be all up to you. I am comfortable with whatever will make you most comfortable, Burningstar." There was a kindness in his voice. Perhaps this was different from his sister. Even when her tone was light and she was being particularly charasmatic, there was seldom kindness anywhere close to the tonality of her voice. He was not so. Although he was strict in nature, Miles and Kya could both confirm that, he was not mean, nor even morally grey.
"Hmm, a walk through the territory would be nice, I would love to see your gathering place though. I am incredibly curious about your culture," The ginger she cat admitted. "But firstly I'd like to get to know you Lindon. So perhaps we can walk and talk towards this location?" She asked.
She had so many questions to ask, and in her mind she tried to sort them. What would be the most essential thing to learn about her mate? She tried to think about Soaringbird and Rasputin but the two were a rather strange sort... So she tried to think of Glowstar and Deal... but besides the fact that she knew Glowstar loved Deal greatly and viewed him as special she hadn't gone into detail about what their life was like together.
She supposed she should get acquainted with how his family was. Was he Kerrigan's only other sibling? She should also make sure he was okay with this. If he wasn't... well she didn't think there was much she could do, besides work out any ways to make things easier for him. She would have to learn what his likes and dislikes were. Fortunately though looking around at least it looked as though BrookClan territory wasn't drastically different than NightClan's territory. There was definitely a lot more waterways, and brooks. But NightClan had it's river and waterfall and plenty of trees. So it wouldn't be too drastic of a change.
Then there were of course her questions of BrookClan, split up among royal families? What about those without royal blood? Did each family have a section of territory? Kerrigan had hinted that they didn't believe in StarClan so what did they believe in?
The Tsar considered this for a moment, looking between the two. There was no real reason to provide a chaparone for the two of them. They were adults, were they not? Yet, it felt strange to leave her brother in a vulnerable position. This was an odd thought, though. After all, the she-cat was going to leave Lindon in a much more vulnerable position once the day was over and he left for NightClan with the fellow leader.
"Alright, well, I will leave you to it, then," she mewed after a long moment of silence. Her weight shifted between her paws as she tried to read the circumstance. Lindon didn't look on edge, so perhaps that was reason enough to leave her brother be. "I assume that you are not ignorant enough to lay a paw on him on his home terf, Burningstar," she meowed briskly before turning to Lindon, "and if she does, I assume you can handle yourself."
With that, she turned. "I will see you both at noon." Then, as suddenly as the Tsar had appeared, she disappeared into the forest.
Lindon was unconvinced that he had needed his sister to make such veiled threats towards the NightClan leader. He was older than she was, and he was fully capable. Still, he was used to letting her humor herself. It was part of the role of being related to the throne; sometimes he just had to let her say what she needed to make herself feel better.
"I'm unsure how accurately I can field your questions. I'm no religious scholar," he meowed with a soft chuckle. "I assume that's what you meant by the culture of the Monarchy. Still, I feel that it is important to be as open with you as possible, so I will answer whatever questions regarding any topic as truthfully as possible. In return, I ask you do the same."
Burningstar nodded at Kerrigan's response. One she of course understood.
Then she turned to Lindon. "That's all I ask, believe me I probably couldn't tell you everything about StarClan if you asked me." She said with a mrrow of amusement, "Maybe we can start with something simple, some backstory. Like uh, family perhaps? You should probably know a little about mine. Mine wasn't anything special, my parents Blazehawk and Skysong were just normal warriors. They passed when I was young, leaving me and my sister Soaringpaw..." She let out a sigh. "Soaringpaw got snatched by an owl when we were apprentices, and I thought she was dead for a long time. Got my warrior name Burningsky, became Shiverstar's deputy and then my sister showed up apparently having been in BrookClan this whole time, as a warrior Soaringbird. So yeah, that's a bit of my family history, it's really just me and my sister now. And of course, the kits, they're darlings really. You'll see, Skykit is so curious even though she's blind. And little blazekit he sometimes has terrible spells, but he's still got so much heart. Infernalkit can be a bit of a biter but he's not too bad when you get to know him, and then Raspberrykit is just a menace." She let out a laugh. "But I love them a lot. Been uh, wanting to have my own for a while since we... got those kits." Her ears lowered a bit.
"What about you? What's your family like? and what's being the brother of the Tsar like?" Burningstar asked looking at him with bright amber eyes.
"I'm glad we are on the same page," he meowed at her, offering her a smile. He was nervous and uncomfortable at the presence of Burningstar. He didn't know what to expect. No one would be able to guess that from looking at him, though. The large orange feline looked perfectly relaxed. He had been trained well to never let other cats see you bat an eye.
The tom noted when she discussed kittens, and he made an internal note of the fact that she desired it one day. Would this be his job? He wasn't sure, but he assumed it would be. He had never imagined having another litter after Ara died, so it was odd to think about. Very strange indeed. Yet, he let out a chuckle at the mention of the antics of the kittens. It looked like they all had spirit, which was something that he appreciated. He had been told to make sure that the kittens were protected in all circumstances by Kerrigan, but he doubted that they needed it. He could tell that Burningstar really loved them. "I'm sure they're wonderful," he meowed with a genuine smile.
"I have two kittens of my own. Myles and Kya," he meowed their names with a soft sort of inflection. He would miss the two. "Myles, well, he makes a habit to make sure everyone is underwhelmed by him. He didn't cope as well when his mother died, I don't think. I worry that I've been a bad father to him, that he hates me. But, he is a royal, and must act as one." He sighed gently at the thoughts of his son. "As for Kya, she is a brilliant young cat. I'm sure she will make an incredible warrior. I told her to look after her brother for me." He smiled softly, before blinking. "You'll meet them today at the meeting, I would imagine. Good kids, both of them."
"As for my other family. Kerrigan, of course, is my sister, the second youngest of our family. Our litter has never been close, though. We all have different hopes, different dreams. Her's was always to be on top, and, well, she made it. Our mother was particularly harsh on us, but it trained me to be an effective creature. Kellen and Hadley made our two full-siblings, but Sammy and Viatrix are both half-related." He spoke the name of Sammy in a dull voice, as if it was a sin to even mention the cat that questioned the Tsar. "We grew up average, though, only thrown in the limelight after Kerrigan performed her coupe."
Burningstar nodded listening intently, her ears pricked though when he mentioned he had kits of his own. "Oh you have kits of your own? Do you..." She trailed off. Did that mean he had a mate still in BrookClan he was leaving behind? "Mouse dung, I'll just ask." She turned to him.
"Are you okay with this arrangement?" She asked straight out. "If you have kittens... I can understand, I can... work something out with Kerrigan..." She didn't know what she could offer the Tsar if they didn't go through with the arrangement. But she felt terrible thinking that this tom would be torn from his children, and possibly his mate. "I accept the consequences of my actions, my actions were to ensure that my sister could enter my clan with her mate without issue. Though it was rendered pointless as I became leader shortly after. Finding my sister whom I thought to be dead was worth doing such a thing as stealing kits... But then..." She trailed off. "Then I fell in love with the dears, me and my sister. Well I call them 'dears' but... they have their troubles. Soaringbird says its a side effect of their heritage. But they are like family to me. To where I couldn't bear to part with them. I do not want to wish that on you for kits that are yours and you have every right to be with. And if you are okay with coming to NightClan... they're more than welcome to come with. They would be welcomed. And I'm sure Soaringbird's kits would love some more friends to play with."
She said they'd be welcomed... But there was likely to be a lot of flack from the clan. But Burningstar would do her best to step forwards and take the brunt. After all, this was her responsibility. No one's else.
If she had to go so far as to lose a life or more for this to try and make it better for others she'd do it.
He waved his tail at her, as if to stop her in her tracks. "There is no need," he meowed to her at her offer. "My children understand that I have been called to serve my clan and my gods. They will be taken care of. I do not worry about them. I, myself, will adjust. If the gods were against this arrangement, then they would have stepped in to stop it by now. Instead, they have given me the peace of mind to accept that this is what I am called to do. Each of us has a different call. I have accepted mine." He had been unwilling to do this at first. He hadn't tried to fight with the Tsar, as he knew how dangerous that was, but he hadn't been thrilled with the proposition. He then remembered his conversation with Silentheart. She had been the one who had made it easier for him to accept, and he had taken her knowing nature as a sign that the gods intended this to be how his life would turn to be.
"Their mother passed away shortly after their birth," he then murmured, as if to assure her that Ara was out of the picture. "Even if she hadn't, she would have understood. Her faith that things happened accordnig to the gods' plan helped me learn to accept things that I cannot change. This is one of those things." He offered her what could be considered a smile, although there was a sadness found deep in his eyes. He blinked the sudden emotion away.
"They must stay in BrookClan. It is where they belong, where they were born, where they have friends. My calling is not theirs, and I would never force that upon them. Plus, I believe that perhaps Myles is happy that I won't be around." He chuckled at the thought of his son, who was notorious for not seeing eye-to-eye with the rest of the royalty. "You'll meet them both after the clan meeting." He then let out another sigh.
"If I hadn't come to accept this as my mission, we would not be standing here. Do not worry about me, Burningstar."
Burningstar nodded. “I understand, I wanted to be sure.” Her eyes softened, “But after things get settled in NightClan, your children will be more than welcome to visit. If they so desire.”
She then looked up at the sky, “Ara... sounds like a wonderful cat, my condolences for her passing.” She looked back at Lindon, “So, you mentioned your gods, what are they like? And how do your ancestors interact with them? Do your gods watch over you and those who’ve passed on?” She asked. “Also Kerrigan mentioned BrookClan’s split between families,Does that mean each family has a small part of territory? Like we could be standing in one families territory and then walk a bit and then be in another’s?”
"Once things get settled, we can determine if it would be good for them to come," he meowed. "I understand that your clan may not enjoy my pressence, though. I don't want to put them any more at risk than they absolutely have to be. I would rather just come back to see them." He said this with a half smile, his head tilted.
"I appreciate that. She was wonderful while she was here," he admitted, blinking twice. He then quickly moved on. "As for the gods, we worship them but they seldom interact with those of us not in positions of power. I have never interacted with the gods myself, alhtough I am dedicated to Cauil. "I am no scholar on the gods, but I know that they it is the gods who control things like disasters and births, and all things in between. Our ancestors meet them the day that they pass to the next side."
Lindon blinked before considering her next point. "Is that not how your clan is?" He had never existed in a space where the entire territory was communal. "Each royal family has their own space. However, others are more than welcome to walk on it. You must get permission to hunt on the territories of others, though."
Burningstar shook her head. “No, NightClan has one main camp, and the territory is guarded and hunted by all. We do not divide by family, we kind of consider ourselves to be part of one large whole.” She said. “And that’s fascinating.” She meowed intrigued by the gods being so active in the events of BrookClan’s day to day life.
“StarClan, only tends to offer guidance, there are musings of some they could punish. But more often than not they just... watch over us. For your gods to well, actually send disasters and bestow new lives to the clan is amazing.” It was definitely amazing... and a little unbelievable to her, but she had to remind herself. This was BrookClan’s beliefs. Not just folklore. They likely were as certain of their existence as Burningstsr was of StarClan’s. So even though part of her was extremely skeptical that the brookclan god’s truly granted the new lives... she was going to be respectful.
So rather than ask the how or profess doubts of these god’s having such power. She focused more on learning more. It was intriguing after all and who was she to dictate to another clan their beliefs were wrong? If Kerrigan were to tell one of her cats something about doubting StarClan could speak to the clan cats. Burningstar would be most unhappy.
And even though she’d dismissed most of Soaringbird’s fears of being sacrificed in a ritual... she didn’t want to speak too carelessly while on enemy territory. Especially since from Kerrigan saying that Skykit, Raspberrykit, Infernalkit And Blazekit all being socialized into NightClan and believing in StarClan would make them unable to be BrookClan cats. It was plain to see religion was valued heavily in BrookClan.
“How many gods are there and what does...” she hesitated trying to form the name but she’d already forgotten how Lindon had said the god’s name. “oh dear how do you say the god’s name you’re dedicated too? I’d rather not be struck down for mispronouncing it.” She said.
A part of her wanted to speak more freely, to dig into the religion. How did it start? What were the god’s like? How’d they show their presence? To not tiptoe around...
But there was a time and a place for that. And she just knew BrookClan would be fine detailing their god’s strength, praising them, sharing parts of their beliefs to try and urge cats to change to it. But questions like ‘what started your beliefs? How’d the god’s prove they have such power? Might not go over well. Plus Lindon had already professed to not being a scholar so he was unlikely to have that information anyways.
Besides, being respectful did her no harm. Sure she doubted Shiverstar would have let herself seem so meek, and would criticize Burningstar harshly. But... Burningstar was okay with that.
Information was the most valuable thing to her. What she lacked in battle prowess, and in simple life experience could be made up by absorbing and taking in any information offeredto her. And if all she had to do was be polite, and respectful... She was not being weak like her previous lessons and teachings she’d gotten from Shiverstar were screaming at her. But instead... just learning.
Would knowledge of the god’s help her if BrookClan decided to attack NightClan? Probably not. But Burningstar felt better getting to know more about the other clans. Understanding what drove them, could be key in keeping peace. And her own curiosity spurred her onwards
"I do not have to follow StarClan, do I?" he asked, finally finding a concern with the situation. He did not want to end up in the Lost Lands, the land after death of those who stole and blasphemed. Those who believed in things like StarClan, especially after they had been taught the truth of the Gods. The hazel eyed feline shuderred at the belief. Of course, he was no missionary; he would not try to convince others that StarClan was a concept of their imagination. But having to denounce his own religion was one thing he was not keen on.
"There are four minor gods," he began. This was information that everyone knew. "And one major god. The beginning of time started with the major god, Nivet. They spoke the universe into existence, created trees, the territory, the world around us. They were allpowerful, a balance of good and evil, light and dark. It was a sad existence, though, to live in a universe alone. So, they created the first of the minor gods, Cauil. They gave him a share of their power, particularly the power over life." He flicked his tail. Reciting this was not hard, as these were the messages they had been taught since infanthood. "Cauil created cats like you and I, but their lives were as eternal as the lives of the gods. The lives were long, suffering."
"Nivet, then, out of sympathy for their creations, created another. Marli was her name. This god was given the power of death, to end the suffering. There are more details than that, though, but we haven't all day." He let out a smile. "Next came Devonei, who provided order to the world. He spoke the laws and rules of the Monarchy, created a society for the cats. After a while, Nivet found that there was no balance between order and disorder in a world where the latter didn't exist. They created Tiveronah, the god of chaos, and the world became balanced with life and death, disorder and order."
Lindon blinked his eyes. "Cauil is the god of life, of suffering. The God who values growth and overcoming obsticals." He felt like he had been talking for moons by this point, to which he gave a shy shrug to.
"Did I explain enough? Did that answer that question?"
Burningstar shook her head. "No, you will not have to renounce your religion. NightClan does primarily believe stronger in StarClan, and for appearances sake it might be easier to start off not drawing a lot of attention to your beliefs. I don't want to say you have to practice in secret... but I'd recommend keeping it kinda quiet, and preferably not arguing with clanmates about religion. I haven't met any other gods myself, but Glowstar has spoken of other gods. So I believe you."
Burningstar nodded. "Fascinating! And yes, yes you answered my question perfectly thank you." She was a bit disappointed that it seemed BrookClan's beliefs didn't allow for much... coexisting with religions. StarClan didn't claim to have so much power... sure StarClan could grant lives and they had granted Burningstar's lives. And she didn't doubt these gods Lindon believed in had power as he seemed a little distressed at the notion of snubbing Cauil. "And I think Cauil will see your struggle to integrate within NightClan and see it as a worthy and great effort. It will be difficult but I'm sure that with a little time who knows where this can go?" Her eyes brightened. "I mean... I'm sure it won't be all great, and there'll be a lot of struggle ahead, but the potential! The potential of our clans interacting. Of you bringing a part of BrookClan of setting things up to where NightClan can finally stop trying to be an island and start looking outside and seeing that outside lies not only threats but other cats. Cats with beliefs! Cats with drives and knowledge. So much different ideals, truths, knowledge, beliefs! It's fascinating." She said tail lifting in excitement at the thought of it all. At the possibilities.
The best possibility was though this 'alliance' was more Burningstar sticking a spy in her clan and owing Kerrigan possibly indefinitely. Maybe just maybe this could go entirely well!
Or she was just getting super excited at learning more about BrookClan's culture, beliefs and just the promise of interacting with them further.
