Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. long, heavy sigh escaped the slim, but large tom as he made his way back into camp, two rather small but plump thrushes dangled at the edge of his muzzle. His sharp green eyes immediately located the growing pile of fresh kill, his dusty paws kicking dirt off the ground as he made his way to the pile. There was a sense of ease and relief when the tom dropped his kills, not only due to weight of the birds combined, but because it was a moment the tom allowed himself to breath. It had been a day since Blackstar announced her decision to cast Thistlemask as her new deputy. Of course, the tom felt honored that he was thought of to fill the emptied role, but the new added weight of responsibility kept the tom up throughout the night. Thistlemask was not one to waste time so naturally, he did what he knew would best to do with that time: hunt. And he had been hunting non-stop ever since.
His body ached slightly, calling out to him to take a break, but the emotions of his ascension in his camp continued to fuel him. It would be a wasted to let such a natural burst of energy go to waste.

"Thistlemask," Blackstar called to her new deputy as she gracefully walked out of her den. Blackstar had always been a particularly petite and graceful she-cat, quiet and observational. It was strange to sleep in the den where her father once slept and connived against his own clan, strange to all of a sudden command trust and respect from cats who had scorned and scoffed at her since she was but a kit. She had spent so many moons just trying to earn the trust and respect of her peers that she had never even considered becoming leader until Starclan named her so in absence of Sunstar.
"What are you up to?" She asked curiously, he had not been around camp much that day. She assumed he had been hunting the whole day. In which case they could go out hunting together and build a deeper understanding and trust between one another.
he set of deep, green eyes located Blackstar immediately at the sound of her voice. He bowed his head deeply out of habit "Blackstar" He addressed her, his naturally serious expression softened slightly as he offered a small smile, straightening up to his complete height, which towered the rather small leader. " I just got back from a hunting patrol." He spoke, his voice deep and hollow but kind. " We were running a bit low on food." He spoke, looking at the now rather large pile of kill.
