Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
[ context : springclan is moving camps, due to a tree falling right in the middle of the old one - thankfully, no one was hurt. however, the damage was too extreme to ever repair the camp fully, hence the reason for the move. the location of the new camp is the hollow that contains springclan's famous undying cherry blossom tree, but apart from that, the rest of the camp is up for you to decide! have your characters discover something wild preferably not like a corpse or something lmao we're trying to keep this upbeat and have fun ! ]
"So you're telling me that a tree fell on our camp, so now we're moving...to a hollow with a giant, zombie tree standing right in the middle of it?" Lemonburst asked his brother, looking thoroughly unimpressed. The rest of the Clan was beginning to thread their way into the hollow, where they'd been told that their new camp would be built - emphasis on the built, because from what Lemonburst could see, there weren't exactly a lot of natural dens like there had been in their old camp. "This all seems very...counterproductive. See, back in FallClan, we would have-"
"...Shut up," Peachstar replied, rolling his eyes after a second's brief hesitation. "It's a start, okay? We'll begin work on it right away, to make it a little more...home-ey."
"Sure," Lemonburst smirked, beginning to pad away. "I'm done with this conversation. If anyone wants to come and join me in looking at that boulder over there...feel free to join in."
Blissrose was feeling a little more productive than Lemonburst. "This might be good as a medicine den," she said to no one in particular, merely thinking out loud. "Fawnheart, are you around? Whaddya think of this...thing?" she called out, peering curiously at the myriad of little holes in the wall. "You could probably store a lot of herbs in these. Or spiders, if you don't clean regularly enough."
Sootcatalyst limped towards Peachstar, her favorite feline of the group to antagonize. Her movement was as slow as ever, due to the fact her front paw was almost completely unusable. It was twisted and torn, never quite healing from the accident of a lifetime. It was a good thing it had never healed, though; it meant she hadn't retired from public life for no reason.
"So, with all of the brains in your head, this was the best place you could think of?" Her meow was teasing, but it often was when she grumbled at him. "You better have someone make me a nice big nest in a nice big den that I can have all to myself."
Lotusswirl heard his mother speak to the leader, and he let out a sigh. There was a part of him that appreciated the fact that he wasn't the one being bothered by Sootcatalyst, but she was quite embarrassing in all honesty. In attempts to ignore her, he found his way over to Blissrose and the potential medicine cat den.
"Hmm, who needs herbs when you can have a spider army, right?" he chuckled to her, observing the area.
Elmpaw, known for seldom doing much productive with his life, looked around the new camp. Of course, he'd come to this area more than once, but never in all of his young life did he consider it a place to build a camp, nor did he want to be one of the cats to build a new camp.
Peachstar usually tried his best to avoid SpringClan's only elder. It wasn't that he disrespected his elders - if anything, he had too much respect for his elders - but Sootcatalyst often seemed to delight in making his life an absolute misery. What did I ever do to deserve this? he mouthed to himself,, before turning round to give the cranky elder a bright smile. "You can help me pick a good spot for it, if you'd like!" he replied. "After all, you wouldn't trust a useless young'un like me to pick out a good den for you, would you?" And if you pick out a spot yourself, you can't blame me for anything wrong with it, he thought to himself bitterly.
"Right?" Blissrose chirped, eyes shining as she looked over towards Lotusswirl. "Forget about getting invaded by cults, or by rogues, or by Tarantulastar - we'll have the spiders to defend us! Though I guess if there's any cat on this earth who would have a loyal army of spiders to invade our Clan...it probably would be Tarantulastar."
"Hey, you! Whatsyerface!" came an indignant voice from nearby Elmpaw. Mangopaw trotted up to her fellow apprentice and fixed him with a judgemental glare. "You don't look like you're helping out. At all. Why's that, huh? Think you're too good for us, do you?!?!"
"I'm here, Blissrose" Fawnheart mumbled through a mouthful of herb bundles. She had herb bundles wrapped up in her tail and some in her jaws. A bundle that she had been carrying with her tail slipped and broke open and poppy seeds scattered the ground. "Mouse dung!" She hissed around the bundles in her mouth. She set them down and started cleaning up the poppy seeds that had spilt. Her plan to carry her herbs in one trip was not a good idea.
"Here, let me help." Spottedfox said, padding up to Fawnheart and helping the medicine cat rearrange the scattered herbs.

Wolfspider padded up to Blissrose to examine the possible new medicine cat den as well. "You know, some spiders aren't bad. They help eat all the bugs we don't want around!" He said with a shrug, doing his best to ignore the comment about Tarantulastar, who unfortunately for Wolfspider, happened to be his father.

Cardinalheart padded up to Peachstar. "I was thinking about taking a small group out into the woods to collect the materials we will need to build the dens, it could be a good job for the apprentices and we'll let the warriors build them, maybe?" he suggested, trying his best to think of a way to split the work between everyone fairly and efficiently.
Fawnheart gave a sigh of relief as Spottedfox offered to help, "thank you, Spottedfox. This wasnt my best idea." She smiled, scrapping the last seed back into the bundle.
Blissrose blinked; had Wolfspider heard her comments about his father? Well, it was too late if he had. She made a mental note to talk only talk about former, exiled Clanmates when their children weren't around to hear it, from now on. "The circle of life," she nodded, trying to sound like that wasn't something she'd heard from an older warrior about three days ago. "...I hope they don't eat the herbs, though."
Peachstar nodded. "Good idea, Cardinalheart. In fact, I think I see some potential candidates for you over there." He cleared his throat, before turning to face in another direction. "MANGOPAW! ELMPAW! OVER HERE! ...PLEASE!" he added quickly. It was important to have some manners, after all.
"I don't think spiders like the taste of herbs" Fawnheart replied to Blissrose's comment, setting down her herbs in front of the potential Medicine Cat den. "However, perhaps I could make some spider friends and they can spin webs over bleeding wounds" she mewed sarcastically with a laugh.
Cicelysnow swished her luxurious white tail from side to side, examining the area with curious leaf-green eyes. "Where are we going to put the fresh-kill pile? Not that we can't easily change that, of course," she mused to no one in particular, "but it would be nice to have a designated area where it won't get...I don't know, leaves on it, or something."
Sycamorecarol's gaze swept the clearing. He was a very cautious young fellow, barely a warrior, and was too afraid of new things to explore much; however, he tried to look excited.
Cardinalheart turned his gaze onto Mangopaw and Elmpaw, waiting for the two young cats to make their way over. _______________
Wolfspider glanced over at Cicelysnow. "We could put it over there?" he suggested, glancing in the direction of the far corner of the camp, it was a clear spot with no trees over it, which would prevent leaves from falling onto their food. "Although, maybe wouldn't putting under some sort of shelter be better? So when it rains it won't get soaked?" He suggested.

Mintkit had just been released from the watchful eye of the warrior that had carried him to their new destination. He skittered around the new camp, looking at all the different groups of warriors and apprentices that were musing the potential den locations. He sniffed the ground, padding around until he almost bumped into a mossy rock, and then circled around it, a small wet crevice behind where the rock met the wall of the hollow.
"Over there would be good, if we could make a shelter for the pile like Wolfspider suggested," Witchdream nodded, padding up from behind to join them. "...I mean, that might be a little hard, but I'm sure if everyone works together, we could make it work..."
Mangopaw gave Elmpaw a dark look before bounding up to Cardinalheart and Peachstar. "M-Mangopaw reporting for duty, sir! Uhh, sirs!" she stammered, eager to begin work.
Peachstar gave Cardinalheart a quick glance. "I'll leave it to you," he said, looking pained as he guided Sootcatalyst over to a far corner of the hollow. "Come on, Sootcatalyst! I'm sure we can find a nice spot for you somewhere..."
"Huh..." Cherrykit muttered, wandering over to where Mintkit was standing. "I wonder if that leads anywhere...?" she remarked, peering curiously into the crevice. "...Probably not. But I dare you to try anyway."
Cardinalheart dipped his head in response to Peachstar before glancing at Mangopaw and Elmpaw. "Alright, we are going to go and collect materials to build the new dens, let's go!" he said briskly, turning and heading into the forest.
_________
"No!" Spottedfox said firmly to Cherrykit and Mintkit. "We have enough going on building the new camp, we don't want to have to send a rescue in if you get stuck or lost." She said firmly but gently. "Why don't you go ask Sootcatalyst to tell you a story?" she suggested to the kits, it would free up Peachstar to focus on what needed to be focused on and it would keep both the elder and the kits entertained for at least a little bit.
Mangopaw blinked. "Yessir!" she said, a bright smile appearing on her face after a moment's hesitation. "Materials! Building! New dens! I got it, don't worry!" Her smile rapidly faded as she began to blink once more. "Um, what kind of materials?"
"Peachstar says I should stay away from Sootcatalyst," Cherrykit replied, without missing a beat. "Something about her having a...a 'vendetta against everything he loves and holds dear to his heart', I think those were his exact words. I don't know what it means, but it sounds bad, so..." She shrugged. "You're kind of old, why don't you just...pretend you're an elder and tell us a story?"
Cardinalheart laughed and led the way into the forest. "To build the dens we need sticks, vines, and moss, mud can be helpful too, it can hold things together." he replied to Mangopaw.

Spottedfox stared wide eyed down at Cherrykit for several moments, taken aback by the kits quick and brutally honest response. "Um..... well then," she began, unsure of how to finish her sentence, she glanced around in panic, trying desperately to come up with something for the kits to do other than get themselves lost. Her eyes landed on a pile of leaves that needed to be cleared out of the camp. "Why don't you help me clear the leaves out of the new camp?" she suggested.

The tom kit turned to face the warrior, a brazen brow raised. He didnt want to hear a story, but shrugged, not wanting to seem like a trouble maker. He walked away, still intent on searching some things out for himself, just no longer under the worrying watchful eyes of Spottedfox.
Bob-tailed Whitepaw bounded along at his mentor's heels, teeth clamped around a bundle of herbs. Unfortunately he didn't quite have the tail to carry herbs with it, but he had tried to fit as many herbs as he could carry in the bundle he held. He almost dropped his herbs when Fawnheart spilled out the poppy seeds, only held back by the realization of the mess that would make striking him a moment before. That, and Spottedfox moving in to help her first. His attention instead turned towards the holes that Blissrose had noticed, the black-masked apprentice placing his herb bundle near the wall before moving up close to peer into one.
He snapped his head around towards Fawnheart at her joking comment about spiders, not quite catching the sarcasm in her words. "Can you really do that?" he asked, eyes wide in amazement. It had been a couple moons since he first came to the Clan, hungry and motherless, but he still wasn't entirely caught up on what was actually within the realm of possibility for Clan cats. He couldn't see any reason why a medicine cat especially wouldn't be able to make friends with spiders. Then, with a speed that could give the cats around him whiplash, his focus returned to the hole. He got close enough for his muzzle to bump against the wall, squinting into the dark as he meowed, "I wonder if there's any friendly spiders in this hole right now."
Fawnheart began packing in herbs into the crevices of the den before replying to her new apprentice's question with an amused purr, "I wish we could have little friendly spiders helping me. But who knows? Maybe a couple spiders will spin me a few webs." She unwrapped more bundles and placed them in order. "Thank you for helping me carry these herbs. If it werent for you, Id have to make more than one trip!"

Cherrykit's eyes wandered over to where Mintkit was walking away, before turning back to Spottedfox. To be honest, it didn't sound like a very fun job, but she supposed it wouldn't be long until she herself was promoted, and would have to get used to being assigned the boring, menial work sooner rather than later. "Sure," she nodded, trying to project her voice over to Mintkit in the hopes that he'd hear and keep her company. "Seems...fun. Do I get to play in the leaves afterwards?"
Mangopaw squinted. "Um, there's a stick." She pointed to a small, rather frail-looking stick lying haphazardly on the ground in front of them. "Did I do a good?"
