(Loststar and Toadstream are out in search of his remaining family, pretty sure it's only Deerflower and Mudkit left)
Loststar had woken early and gone to get Toadstream so they could begin their search for his family, she would keep her word in helping no matter the pain it caused her. The two cats set out before the sun had even broken over the horizon, knowing that they would need time to travel to the other clans before night fell once again, the she-cat had left her deputy and senior warriors in charge trusting them to run the clam while she was away and stressing the importance of this mission to those who showed concern. "I figured we could try Dayclan first, I got word they had taken a few cats but it wasn't made clear what clan they had come from." She looked at the tom, doing her best to keep her voice light and free of the overwhelming feelings that pulsed through her.

Toadstream was extremely tired, dragging his paws and looking as if he had just crawled out of a grave. He had the worst sleep last night, a reoccurring nightmare of him drowning and then feeling something dragging him to safety by his scruff. He didnt see who it was but he could hear an eerily familiar voice ringing in his dream saying, "It's okay, my dear. We are almost there. Stay with me." Then, he would awaken, gasping for air. The voice rang in his ears and he hardly heard Lostsong. "Huh? What? Oh, yeah, sure..." he mumbled before his jaws parted into a large yawn. "I really appreciate you doing this for me, Lostsong." He looked at her and offered her a sleepy smile.
Over in DayClan camp, Deerflower found herself in a nest, unfamiliar and yet comforting. The days following the flooding had been tough. She'd fallen ill, feverish and had nearly died from that. But StarClan was with her--probably her parents doing-- and she'd managed to pull through. Weak, depressed, but surviving, Deerflower was glad that at least one of her kits and survived with her. Grooming the little bundle she forced herself to hold back the tears. She'd cry when she was alone, only then would she allow herself to grieve for her lost family. For now, she had to be strong for Mudkit as was a mothers duty.

The ginger and white leader offered a small smile to Toadstream, she could tell he was tired and with everything he must be feeling it made sense that his sleep was not restful. "Of course Toadstream, you deserve to know the whereabouts of your family and if I can help make it happen I will." She turned her eye from him and continued walking, they had crossed the border into Dayclan already and worry sat in her belly, she had expected to be found by a patrol but no one came. "They must be busy adjusting to any of the survivors who have come." She was half speaking to herself in a hushed tone, still though, it wasn't like Dayclan warriors to leave their land unguarded.
Toadstream followed Loststar deeper into Dayclan territory. They were pretty far in when a rustling in the bushes made the tortoiseshell tom stop in his tracks.
Within a few moments, a ginger and white she-cat emerged out if the undergrowth. Her bold green eyes were hostile but her posture was surprisingly calm. It was as if she were challenging the other cats with only her eyes. "I hope you have a good reason for being here. As far as I know, the flood hadn't reached the Mountain Clans."
Despite his weariness, he met the other she-cat calmly and with determination. He needed to find his family. "No, your right. But, um, I'm from Earthclan and I'm looking for my family. Berryfrost, Stonefang, Deerflower, and Quailchaser." He named off his family in hopes any of them sounded familiar.
The Dayclan Immortal Council member thought for a moment. "Deerflower. She just recently came in with a kit. But the rest of them didnt come here."
Toadstream's eyes brightened, no longer looking as exhausted. "Can you take me to her?"
The Dayclan warrior hesitated. "We are pretty busy. Earthclan wasn't the only clan hit by the flood. We have many cats taking refuge and getting that many cats settled in at once is overwhelming as it is." She wasn't going to allow it but the desperation in Toadstream's eyes made her reconsider. "But I suppose you could come see her. Just this once. Dont think that because you have a sister in Dayclan means you can cross the border at any time you wish. That's not how this works." She mewed with a threatening look before turning and leading them further into the territory toward the camp. "My names Windchaser, by the way."
"My name is Toadstream, and I'm sure you know Loststar." The tom introduced.
"Of course." It wasn't long before they reached the camp. Two tall stone columns bordered the entrance to the camp. Waterfalls thundered at the back of the clearing and stone ruines lined the edges. Cats hustled to and fro with nesting materials and fresh prey in their jaws. Scents filled the air with a mixture of multiple clans. Some cats limped in and out of the medicine den, covered in poultices and wraps. "Deerflower will be in that den over there" she flicked her tail toward a den that smelled heavily of milk and one would instantly know that it was the nursery.
Toadstream padded over to the milk scented den and called into it. "Deerflower?"
A voice she'd only dreamed of hearing again, "To-Toadstream!" She nearly tripped over her kit and then the edge of her nest trying to get to the source of the voice. A few times before she'd believed herself to hear one of her family members voices', but those moments had only been delusions from her fever. Even now, Deerflower hesitated, for voices weren't the only delusions she had. Standing before her was a cat that looked just like her brother. With a sad smile, she turned back towards her nest. "You're not really here, are you...." Maybe she should visit the medicine cat again, her fever might be coming back and to think, it only just broke a few days ago.
Toadstream shared a confused glance with Loststar. "Deerflower. It's me, Toadstream. I'm really here!" He rested a paw on her shoulder. "I'm so glad your alive!" Tears filled his eyes.
Deerflower glanced towards the other cat in the room. Her hallucinations had always been of cats she knew, but she had no idea who this other cat was. So maybe...maybe it really was Toadstream! "Toadstream.." Could it really be? She'd thought him dead, along with the rest of their family. Oh blessed StarClan that he'd been spared. The young mother rushed to his side, colliding with him, though he barely felt it. The poor she-cat was malnourished and weak. She'd barely survived before her and Mudkit had been found. Deerflower had only been rid of the fever she'd battled for a few days now. Her strength, and weight, would take time to come back.
Toadstream pressed himself against his sister, purring. "I'm so happy to see you!" Then he noticed how frail and malnourished she was and concern clouded his eyes, "Have they been feeding you?"

Loststar had followed as the dayclan cat lead then to the camp and pointed out where Toadstream would find his sister, she walked with him to the den but stopped just outside the entrance as not to be in the way of their reunion. Her ginger and white pelt could be seen from inside but she stayed where she was a small smile of joy on her face knowing that they had found each other at last.
Mudkit had been sleeping beside his mother but the sudden sound of voices and her movement in getting up woke him, he looked after her his eyes still blurry from sleep. "Who is it mama?"
Blueberry blues gazed lovingly down at her little one. "It's your uncle. Do you remember him?" She truly hoped that he did. Toadstream had been there since day one, acted as the kits' father in some ways. He'd been her support, along with the rest of their family, but him more than anything. Their parents had been dealing with their newest litter--! Realization set in. Their younger siblings! What'd happened to them! Deerflower's eyes shot to her brother's, "what about mom and dad? Our siblings? Have you seen any of them!"
"You're growing!" Toadstream purred, looking down at the kit before meeting his sister's gaze. "No, I was hoping they were here with you but Windchaser said she hadn't heard of any cats with their names come here." His smile faded into a frown.
"No..I haven't seen anyone yet besides you. I didn't think any of us were still alive...." It was sad to think that Deerflower had believed her whole family dead. That her and Mudkit were the sole survivors of such a horrible event. Sure, she knew others from her clan and the other two clans had survived, but she cared more about her family. She wanted them alive! She'd things to be like they were. Tears sprang into her eyes at the mere thought of being all alone, of the three of them being all that was left of their family. They couldn't be the only ones still alive. What about their younger siblings?
Toadstream pressed his muzzle to his sister's. "It will be okay, Deerflower. They are in a better place, now. I want them here as much as you do but we must go on with our lives. At least our bloodline will still live on. You have Mudkit. He will grow and soon have his own family. Earthclan will live on in other clans but at least we will still be here."
(Spiderheart) "I suppose your right." It wasn't something she wanted to think about or even compliment, but she had to face the fact that her parents had passed before she was ready for them too. Though, was any child ready for their loved ones to go? Deerflower couldn't think of even one individual who would be. Drying her tears, the young mother turned to Loststar, "thank you form bringing him here."

Loststar turned hear head to look at Deerflower, a look of both joy and sadness shining in her eyes. "You're welcome, but no thanks is needed, seeing him happy is enough." She glanced at Toadstream for a moment before turning back to his sister with a soft smile. "I am happy that you and your kit are safe and have found a home , he will be a fine warrior, he seems very strong." She purred looking at Mudkit.
Mudkit looked at the Fallclan leader in confusion, her scent was different from not only the one he knew so well in Earthclan but also the place they now called home. Shaking his head he turned back to Toadstream and approached the tom who was apparently his uncle. "Are you going to stay here with us?" He asked the question boldly.
Toadstream purred at Loststar, feeling his heart warm. He brushed her shoulder with his tail before looking down at Mudkit. His purr and smile faded when the kit asked him if he was staying. "I'm not sure, squirt. I've got some thinking to do but I will make a trip here to tell you what I've decided. Deal?"
Was...was that love she was seeing from Loststar? Deerflower had no idea what her brother had been through, but could he have found love in all of the chaos that had been the flooding? She was truly happy for him if that was the case! But was it mutual? The young mother wanted to be nosy, to know what was going on in the life of her brother, what all had happened since she'd last seen him. "Toadstream, would you..would you tell me where you've been? What's happened to you?"
Toadstream gave a curt nod before replying. "I remember waking up in the forest and seeing destruction. I decided to try and find higher ground and I figured the mountains would be the best. I was very exhausted and practically dead on my paws. I soon found myself lost in Fallclan territory, collapsing with exhaustion. That's when Loststar found me." He looked at the Fallclan leader and smiled fondly before meeting his sister's gaze again. "She took me to her camp where I was properly treated until I was well enough to leave. But then..." he took a breath. "She told me that I was welcomed to stay but...I didnt know if our family was still alive and waiting to reunite so I had to find you all but you are the only one of our family I have found so far."

The Fallclan leader returned Toadstreams smile with her own, a gentle light in her gaze. She had not felt such fear in a long time, u til the day she found the warrior clinging to life by a thread, it was a strange feeling to have for someone you didn't know but she had felt it. "The hope is that more of your family has taken refuge in the other clans, if we find them you will be the first to know of their saftey." She wanted Toadstream to know what had become of his kin, and she would help him do so, and since Deerflower was his sister and in no state to travel she would be sure the yound queen received any news of her loved ones.
