In the death of night, a blue eye could only see darkness. There was no light on this night, not even the sparkles of the moon and the stars reached them. But still, that didn't stop the second eye in the pair from opening. It wasn't gonna get any brighter and Hayate-chan couldn't find any respite. Carefully, she untangled herself from her siblings. Paws skimming the ground until she was sure if was actually ground and not someone's stomach, she pulled herself up and out of the mess of bodies clustered for warmth. Cold air stung at her paws and ears, and soon she was leaving their soft breathing behind. No destination in mind, she could only walk forward.
