Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It wasn't often that WinterClan's prisoners got to see one of the most feared cats in the clan, Goldenlion. He was a guardian, one of the elite. His job was to keep the prison guards in line, which he did quiet easily through intimidation and violence if necessary. The one thing all cats knew about him through reputation alone, is that he always repaid is debts in full. If you slighted him, it was only a matter of time before you got repaid in full.
Today it was time for an inspection of the prison, to ensure the the guards were doing their duties of keeping it in good repair. He was test every inch of it for weakness, which is ow he now found himself face to face with the newest prisoner to find themselves thrown into the clan's prison.
Kenna had undertaken her entry to the clan with determination- when Bearspirit had told her that those wishing to join must go through an imprisonment period, she had set her mind to enduring it. She hadn’t expected it to be as rough as it had been- she had to eat fresh kill and not the wet food she was used to, and there was no fluffy bed for her to law upon here, but she had endured with minimal complaints- not that her complaining had done her much good.
When she had heard Goldenlion was visiting, the monotony of her day seemed to be on the verge of lifting. When the tom arrived, Kenna was standing and ready to meet him. She was beautiful as she had been bred to be- soft, carefully groomed cream fur, a pearly gray face, and crystalline blue eyes that were overly large and overly round in her small features. She had gotten rid of the bow she had been wearing when she had been found, but she looked out of place nonetheless.
“Good afternoon! I’ve been told your name is Goldenlion. It’s a pleasure to meet you, my name is Kenna,” she greeted him with a smile, her clear voice carrying her careful enunciation.
The cat before him couldn't have looked much more illsuited for life here in the mountains. One glance at the she-cat and he could tell that she was going to have a long journey ahead of her if she really wished to remain here. She was to soft, needing to be broken in. Luckily for her, she wasn't the reason for his visit this day. He made a mental note to ensure the guards took her out on a little trip to teach her more about what life here would entail
"You have manners, it will serve you well" he replied, keeping his response short as he began using his large paws to apply pressure to the walls to test for weaknesses "but it is going to take more than manners for you to make it here" without warning, he slammed his full weight onto the walls making it shake and shudder and dirt fell from the ceiling
"I'm willing to learn whatever is necessary to stay here," Kenna said, flinching slightly out of shock when he began testing the walls. “Though I am glad that my manners are appreciated.” Her icy blue eyes watched him with an ever present curiosity. “In your opinion, what are the skills that I would need to flourish here?”
Asking him seemed like a logical choice- he seemed to be flourishing here, with a high-ranking position and plenty of responsibilities. If anyone would know what it took, it would be this large tom. Kenna wasn't comfortable here yet, but she had firmly decided to simply become the kind of cat that could make it here.
