TURBULENTSEA
THE CONFLICTED - NIGHTCLAN MEDICINE CAT
It had been a few days since Burningstar had went to mediate between the regime and SunClan. Why the she-cat felt like she needed to be there was beyond him, but he supposed it had something to do with their whole pride alliance. He tried to stay out of the other clan's politics when possible, slipping into the shadows and watching from afar. He didn't really care all that much what the other clans thought of him, so long as his clan saw how hard he was working for them.
Yet.... this time it was different. He had a sinking feeling in his stomach since she had left, and it was only getting worse with each passing day. The clan was holding up in her absence, but for how long. With a sigh he pushed away the herbs into a pile to finish tomorrow "the sun is about to rise Littlepaw, lets get some sleep"
They would awaken to find themselves on the bank of a river, reflecting the starry sky that glistened up above. A star seemed to be drifting downwards, continuing to drift downwards until the light grew closer revealing a starry silvery tabby she cat. Looking much like Soaringbird.
Skysong's blue eyes glistened as she looked at Turbulentsea and Littlepaw. "Turbulentsea." She meowed dipping her head to the medicine cat. "You've grown so much since you started! Every bit the medicine cat, I knew you could be." She purred. "And Littlepaw!" She said going over to the apprentice. "You've taken great strides in your training, we're so excited to see you grow and develop!" She told the young she cat.
Then she stepped back to stand on the river, the water rippling under her paws but she didn't sink. "But I haven't just come to you in dreams to tell you how well you're doing." She said, her tone shifting. "NightClan's leader is currently out of reach." She said. She swept her tail over the water, and the surface of the clear water clouded. The clouded water shifted and they could faintly hear the mewling of kits. "My daughter pushed herself too hard when she was due to have her kits... and now she's unable to leave SunClan for a time. And Larkwing..." She trailed off the water becoming more cloudy and murky and she shook her head. "Where he is has become difficult for even us to discern. NightClan needs a new leader while Burningstar is incapacitated." A bird call filled the night air, as a silvery white bird came to perch. Skysong lifted her gaze to it, the bird preening itself before taking wing again soaring high over head before flying out of sight. "NightClan needs a leader who will carry it to rise above what's coming."
At her words an icy blast of wind ripped through the forest, frost beginning to gather at the waters edge.

TURBULENTSEA
THE CONFLICTED - NIGHTCLAN MEDICINE CAT
Turubulentsea couldn't help but to purr as skysong came into view. The gentle she-cat had been guiding him since he was an apprentice, and he presense her tonight helped bring him comfort. He had been contemplating taking a journey to moonpool to share tongues with starlan, but it seems they had decided to come to him. He nudge Littlepaw towards her as she spoke glad that Littlepaw would finally get to meet her
Yet this wasn't a normal meeting as his eyes fell upon the bird, and the icey wind blew harsh against his face. He wasn't sure exactly what to make of all of it, but one thing was clear. There was only one cat that would be able to fill in for Burningstar, and the image of the bird flying up ahead only confirmed the choice he had been thinking of "Soaringbird..." he trailed off, before refocusing "What is it that is coming our way?" he could only hope that skysong would answer him, knowing that often enough they left the answers up to him to figure out
Skysong nodded when he spoke the name Soaringbird. Then when he asked his question the cold wind picked up again.
"I see a cold wind blowing through," She meowed softly, icy wind howling around them. Her blue eyes seeming to become icy, vacant, "I see flames, as high as can be." She murmured, voice slipping almost into a chant, as flames started to lick at the ground. "I see a future too good to be true," the water froze at her paws, despite the flickering flames. And the icy wind picked up. "But things are not quite what they seem,"
The ice began to cover the river, moving faster.
The wind picked up, now throwing snow and making it hard to see the flames rising higher and higher, smoke starting to cover the starry sky, and Skysong faded vanished into the wind.
"Take care Turbulentsea, Littlepaw," Skysong's soft voice echoed as the dreamscape began to fade.
