Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was time for a change, was it not? Since Doestar took leadership SummerClan had took a turn for the worse. Peaceful pansies, that’s exactly what they were. And here she was, trying to fix it. Of course, she was patient. Basilstar had, after all, just begun her leadership. She didn’t expect everything to get better in one night, or even two. She had to work to get there, as she had her whole life. Now, where should she start? How should she start? The smallest grip of panic clenched her stomach, but she pushed it down. She wasn’t weak!
Taking a deep breath, the small grey and white feline sat herself down near the leader’s den, trying to keep her posture straight and proud. Flexing her claws, she let out a sigh, utterly bored.
“You look like you could use some entertainment.” Gardeniacrown had seen her leader. Watched her as she expressed trying to sit tall, only to give a heavy sigh. She took that as a sign of boredom, and decided it was a chance to get to know the leader. The orange feline gazed at the leader, a small and soft smile lining the features of her lips.
Turning her head toward’s the new she-cat, Basilstar let a small, polite, forced smile crawl across her face. “Pardon? No, I’m completely fine. You look like you could learn a bit of respect, though. You should address your leader properly.” Her tone tinted on warning, a small edge to it as she sat even straighter than before. “Though I don’t fault you, not right now. I haven’t given the Clan my proper leadership speech, which does include how to act.” She shifted her paws slightly, eyeing the she-cat judgementally.
Her smile faltered. It wasn’t exactly the introduction that Gardeniacrown had expected. Her lips pressed into a thin line as she stood there, a bit rigid. She was unsure on how to respond. Her tail waved behind herself awkwardly, and it was several moments before the warrior had decided to speak once more.
“I was merely trying to make conversation with you.” Gardeniacrown explained, her eyes shifting downwards and to the ground.
“Yes, of course, I get that.” She said coldly. She wasn’t an idiot. “Come on, stand tall to your mistakes. Own it like a true warrior.” Getting to her paws, Basilstar forcibly whacked the she-cat’s spine, trying to straighten it. Good posture was key, after all. “And press your paws together, facing me. There. That’s how you address a leader. With respectful words, after, obviously.” She twitched her tail, a small, proud smile on her face. She just couldn’t believe this Clan. It needed to become strong once more, better than anything else. Perfect. “Have you been hunting today? Practiced you battle skills?” She asked curiously.
Before she could even comprehend what was being said, she felt a sharp smack to her spine. Gardeniacrown gasped sharply, but was unable to speak as orders were being given right away. Hastily the feline did as she was told, but her mouth was gaping slightly. Finally, she managed to find her words, still a bit in shock. “I... went on a hunting patrol earlier...”
She had to admit. She’d never spoke much to Basilstar when they were a warrior, and now she found herself wishing she hadn’t of now. Perhaps things would get better soon? Or was this leader all work and no game? She blinked several times, trying to get out of her shocked stupor.
“Well, good, good job.” She said, trying to be as supportive as she could, but it mostly came out sounded condescendingly. One hunting patrol? Really? Well, Beggers couldn’t be choosers, she guessed. “Anyway, do you mind attending one later as well? Just to get the rust outta your bones.” Basilstar studied the she-cat curiously, looking her up and down, twitching her tail. “Please, tell me about yourself. I’d like to know my warriors.”
This meeting wasn’t at all what I expected... Gardeniacrown straightened her shoulders a little more upon hearing the leader’s words. In all actuality, she was exhausted. Though, she supposed she didn’t have much of a choice now, hm? The leader’s word was law, anyways.
“More about me?” Well. What was there to tell? “Er..”
