Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Deerpaw had found her way to SunClan. Soaked to the bone and freezing. Her heart was broken, one kit had lived and the other had died. She'd been luckier than some. Whispers had spread of some having survived, of finding new homes in other clans. Deerpaw had tried to search for her family, wondeirng the land with her lone kit. Berryfrost had gone after Toadstream, she'd seen it with her own eyes. Maybe she could find them. Or anyone. Her father even.
The mere thought of finding others drove her on. Pushed her to keep going. To find food for her kit. Deerpaw had caught little in the last few days, small morsels of food enough for one cat. It'd all gone to her little one for she couldn't bare the thought of him going hungry. She could manage though, it was part of being a warrior. Allowing the kits to be feed and you to go hungry when food was scare.
She didn't expect to fall sick with lack of food, freezing winds, and soaked fur. A fever had killed all thoughts of moving, leaving her and Mudkit living in a tree stump, trying to keep warm and alive. She had no idea where they were, she'd lead them around in circles with her fever before it'd gotten to this point. Now she couldn't even focus on who was next to her. A few times now, she'd hallucinated her mother being there with them. Poor Mudkit was probably scared.

Flyingcolors sniffed along the base of a rock, stumped. "I swear I smelled something coming from this direction..." She parted her jaws again to take in the familiar scents new and old when something hit her. It was a bitter scent and smelled of cats. What was a sick cat doing in this part of Dayclan territory? "Brakewings, do you smell that? It's coming from that direction." Without waiting for her apprentice, she took off in search. If there was anything the young she-cat could not do was leave a cat in need of her help. Her heart broke even further at what she saw. A sick and feverish young queen curled around her kit, clearly approaching her final moments if she was not treated soon.
"It's okay, I'm here to help. My name is Flyingcolors." She announced soothingly, moving forward cautiously. The last thing a sick and starving queen needed was for a strange cat to rush at her and her sick kit.

Mudkit looked up as the voice of a stranger echoed in his ears, his eyes landed on the cat and his ears flattened. "Dont hurt her!" He hissed at Flyingcolors, the tiny brown tabby jumped unsteadily to his paws and stood protectively in front of his mom, his body swaying on weak limbs as he struggled to keep himself up.
Brakewings was sitting next to his mentor, scowling, as he tediously cleaned his muzzle. He'd stuck his head into a clump of flowers and come out covered in seeds and pollen. "Hmm?" he answered absently as his mentor spoke to him. The herb hunt was clearly not going well for him today, and he was too distracted by his own ineptitude to listen to her. As she got up and left, he shook his head and scattered a few white puffs, then followed tamely in her step. It was only once he was closer that he smelled the strange scents in the air, and turned to find the queen and kit.
"They don't look like DayClan cats," he observed, puzzled. What were foreign cats doing feverish on their land? He glanced at Flyingcolors and stepped forward after her.

Mudkit remained standing as long as he could, his eyes turning as yet another strange cat appeared, he could hear their words but their voices seemed to be coming from far away. The small tabby tom tried to take a step but as soon as he lifted his paw his vision blurred and he fell onto his side letting out a quiet whine.

She shook her head. "They aren't, but I can't distinguish which clan they are from." As the kit tipped over on his side with a pained whimper and she rushed forward. "Sh sh sh, I'm not going to hurt you. I am a medicine cat. I'm going to place my paw on your chest to check your breathing, okay? I want to help you both." She whispered soothingly to the kit, giving it a comforting lick on the top of his head. The poor creature was so weak. She placed her paw on his chest to check his breathing, it didn't seem like there was any sickness in his chest, but he was most likely starving and dehydrated.
"Brakewings, warm up this kit he is freezing. Lick against the fur to get his circulation going. Once he is warmed up we will need to get them some water." She turned her attention to the collapsed queen. Flyingcolors could tell this queen had been starving herself and giving what food she could find to the kit. Now, she was incredibly thin and burning with fever. She ran out of the den, searching the nearby area for borage roots - she didn't have any feverfew and it was best used when dried. She found some a short distance away and dug at the roots, pulling just what she needed off and returning. She squeezed some of the juice in the queens mouth, ensuring that she swallowed it. Hopefully she would wake up soon and be able to consume more so they could get her back to camp. She cuddled up to the queen and began licking her fur the wrong way to warm her up. It wasn't much, but it would hopefully be enough for now.
(So sorry! Haven't been sure how I should reply to this and then completely forgot to)
Deerpaw sensed that the little bundle of warmth that'd been with her the last few days was now gone. Panic set in, her eyes wide and blur but trying nonetheless to find the little bundle. She even tried to rise to her paws in order to begin her search. The young mother stumbled a few steps, a cry on her lips for the one she'd lost. Had they died? Who was she looking for? Her mother? No...no someoe smaller..but who? The memory wouldn't come to her fevered brain, struggling just as much as her malnourished body was. Voices, sounds could be heard, but no distinguish between them. At one point--multiple times really--before the warmth had disappeared, she'd heard a cat, gentle and kind telling her to hold on. Had she dreamed that too? But Deerpaw had been so sure she'd felt their warmth as well, just as the little bundle had been a constant pressure until recently. The little bundle. Where was it? Had it left too? Just like the voices had? "Little one?"
The ginger tom nodded seriously. He stepped forward and wrapped himself around Mudkit, holding him with his first paws as he started to ruffle his fur with his tongue and start to warm him up. "Hey, there," he murmured between licks, "you're okay now, you're safe." He kept a careful eye on the mother, worried that she was going to attack them for touching her young one, but she seemed in no state to fight and Flyingcolors was there to look after her. His focus returned to the little kit and he was relieved to feel a steady warmth starting to fill the kit.

Mudkit felt warmth surrounding him and a calm voice reassuring him he was alright, that he and his mother were safe. His eyes flickered open and he looked at Brakewings for a moment before letting g them close again, this time as sleep overcame his mind and body.
