Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Airecho, Firetooth, and Crownglass had found each other. Then another. Their hopes had risen another survivor! Hopes that were crushed quickly when they pulled the floating body from the water. Acorncloud had died smiling. A proper burial had been dug for the elder, a final resting place still partially within EarthClan's land.
Staring down upon the new grave, tears in her eyes, "now what?" Would they find more? More to bury?
The three were the were lost and alone. With no home to go back to, what would they do? She was young. Airecho has no idea what she's doing! She'd only been a warrior for about two moons.
He saw quietly at the graveside, his jaw working as he refrained from crying. He hadn't known the elder well at all, but the flood had terrified him, and finding a body suddenly made it seem more real. Any time now they could come upon a clanmate, a friend. His mate. She had nine lives, that should save her; he had that one comfort to thank. Crownglass sighed heavily at the young cat's question. His companions were so young they made him the senior member of the little group, which meant he should know what the plan was. But he didn't.
"We need to look around," he meowed slowly, buying himself some time. "See how badly the territory is damaged, and if we can find anyone else."
(Sorry got busy with school and haven't had time to get on!) GidgetGal
Airecho's sobs consumed her. Look around. Just who else would they find? would they even be alive or would they be burying more unfortunate souls? The mere thought of digging another grave, one for a sibling or one of her parents, it...it destroyed her. Their home was lost, but how many lives were as well?
Crownglass glanced up at her, his golden gaze deep with sorrow. "We have to do something, Airecho," he reminded her softly, "we can't stay here forever. If you don't want to look for someone, then we can find food or a place to sleep for the night, and get started in the morning."
He hated the thought of leaving Seastar unaware of where he was, afraid he had died, but how could he find her? He had no idea where she was.
