Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Burningstar padded around SunClan's camp her heavy belly making her steps slow, and she was certainly starting to grow weary. But she couldn't rest just yet. The transfer had been completed, now the nightclan leader wanted to make sure everything was well before she returned.
Larkwing had been needling her to return many times already, but Burningstar stubbornly wanted to make sure all was well before returning. She was fine.
Though her kits were certainly getting awfully active. She winced as one kicked her ribs hard making her stumble a bit before recovering her footing. She must be close to kitting but she had to make sure all was well before she left.
She looked around for Glowstar or Littlebird. Many SunClan cats were giving her odd looks as she moved around, making sure all was well as best she could. Trying to ignore how her belly was starting to ache. Turbulentsea had said she'd be all right to make the trip... Well... He'd okayed more 'light' traveling and that she came straight back. But surely a little extension wouldn't hurt?
(Honeystorm , Spot , racer , Faith, Burningstar will prolly interact a bit before going into labor)

LITTLEBIRD
SUNCLAN PRIESTESS PROMISED
After ensuring that Foxstar was safely tucked away and paralyzed, Littlebird's next stop had been to her den. The mewl of young kits could be heard as laid down in her nest to feed the little ones. Their eyes had not yet opened, and had been away from her far longer than she liked. She curled her tail over them licking each one on the top of their heads as she checked on them. They seemed no worse for wear, and even she would like nothing better than to just close her eyes and sleep there was still a lot of work to be done.
She had already instructed her warriors to bring burningstar to her before the NightClan leader decided to depart.
"Hey Dusky! Hey Autumn! Hey Burningstar!" Strikhedoniadalisay said skipping through SunClan's camp before steering to a stop.
Wait a minute.
Strikhedoniadalisay walked backwards, back trekking over to Burningstar, "There's something different about you... And it's either a, you're pregnant, b, you're in SunClan, or c, you look a lot like my friend Burningstar, but a pregnant version of her! If so, I soooo gotta show Burningstar, unless you are Burningstar, but then why would you be here?"
She squinted her emerald eyes at her, trying to figure out, which was more likely. Burningstar clone development in SunClan? Or Burningstar was in SunClan? Probably the first one, who knew what Foxstar was ever up to these days. Maybe she made a zen garden, maybe she had found a way to create cat clones, it was really anyone's guess.
"I came here after we got back from the Regime," Burningstar told Strikhedioniadalisy, "I wanted to make sure Nightshadeintuition and Foxstar were doing all right and that all the prisoners had been returned to their proper places." The ginger she cat tilted her head. "You... you didn't notice I was pregnant?" It had admittedly been rather dark in those tunnels, and Larkwing had been kind of standing between her and Glowstar, so it did make sense that her friend might not have noticed at first. Especially since she'd been practically flanked by Larkwing and Nightshadeintuition the whole walk back allowing no opportunity for her good friend to see that she was pregnant.
Ah, that explained why Glowstar was only noting it now.
"Yes I'm pregnant... A cat named Driscal is the father." She admitted a bit sheepishly. "Don't tell Larkwing... though he probably knows." Considering that no other cat in NightClan had come forwards to claim being the father, and considering her last litter had been with Devilhorns' of MoonClan, Larkwing probably wasn't surprised. "I'm here to make sure the prisoner transfer went well, I was just about to meet up with Littlebird,"
She felt a sharp pain from her belly that made her wince... her kits really wanted her to get a move on.
She took a moment to compose herself, taking a few breaths before straightening up again. "Would you like to join me in conversing with her?" She asked her voice sounding rather strained.
Maybe going back and forth to make sure the prisoner transfer went well... had been overdoing it.

Nightshadeintuition's first order of business when he'd come home was to reconnect with his family. His mother, sister, children. That had all been attentded too in short order, and now the tom went back to search out the lovely she-cat who'd saved him from such a horrible fate as having to spend more time with the insanity known as Foxstar. The tunnels had been fine, not like a blind cat could much tell the difference between one patch of darkness and another, but her ravings had put him over the edge. Not to mention Riverwolf's god complex had driven him nuts. At least he wasn't as crazy as their Priestess...
Anyway, the tom skipped over with a bright smile, perhaps a bit too wide, but that could be forgiven. "Why don't you relax for a few moments? Surely you can spare the time. You've had a long day saving poor souls such as I." He suggested. She could really use the break. Burningstar had been go, go, go from the moment she'd arrived, and she hadn't taken a moment to rest. That couldn't be good for her or her kits.
Burningstar turned as Nightshadeintuition came over and she let out a purr. "That's very kind of you but I really-agh!" She grunted as a pain erupted in her belly making her legs shake and she stiffened up. Turning her head towards her belly. The pain eased, but her body was tensed and she could feel her body ripple.
She recognized this. She was going into labor.
"Oh for StarClan's sake." She muttered, but then another contraction had her sinking down to her side. "Can someone ah, please let Littlebird know I might need some assistance," She said fighting to keep her voice steady. "My kits have decided they're sick of waiting."
Nightshadeintuition was off in a heartbeat at her hiss, his first thought to look for his own mother, Mountainsound. Someone else would get Littlebird, most probably, if the Promised didn't show up on her own. He knew some healing of his own, his mother had ensured that, but all thoughts flew out of his mind in that moment.
Luckily, the Senator wasn't far, and soon, the both of them were returning. The ebony tom carried the herbs, and Mountainsound headed for Burningstar. "Can you follow me?" She questioned gently, wanting to assess whether the leader would at least be able to make out out of the camp's center, for her own privacy if nothing else.
Burningstar grunted pushing herself back to her paws despite the agony rippling through her belly. "I can try." She managed staggering after Mountainsound. "Will it be close?" She hissed already feeling her legs trying to buckle under her as the contractions worsened.
"Just this way." Mountainsound assured, meeting right up with her to take her towards the dens. What had originally been the medicine cat's den had been converted into a space for herbs and sick cats, and luckily, wasn't too far up the slope cats walked to get to their dens. She let Burningstar lean on her as much as she needed, and signaled her son to the other side to help in the case that she couldn't support herself. They should be able to make it before things got to the point they couldn't move the leader. Of course, that didn't mean it would be comfortable to move in such a state.
Each step was a struggle as the agony rose, Burningstar having to stop every few steps to gather herself. But finally they reached the den, and Burningstar flopped onto her side, chest heaving, the contractions so strong she was digging her claws into the ground.
"Great StarClan," She hissed. "This wasn't so bad last time." She muttered. Turbulentsea had noted it was to be a larger litter than her previous one, but she hadn't thought it would be this troublesome.
Though that was perhaps because she hadn't rested as much as she likely should've.
The pain was her punishment for not resting when she should've.
"You've been running around like crazy. You shouldn't even be going anywhere this pregnant. Of course it's bad." Mountainsound chided, though her voice was surprisingly gentle. She broke a stalk of fennel and dripped the liquid onto a raspberry leaf before pushing it towards Burningstar. "Eat the leaf and the liquid. It'll ease the pain." She promised. The Senator wasn't cruel. She wouldn't just leave Burningstar to the extra pain if she could help it.
Burningstar groaned. "I know." She obediently ate the leaf and liquid without hesitation. "But I had to, I have a duty to carry out. And I wanted to help." She insisted hissing as another contraction rushed through her. "Will my kits be okay?" She asked.

"Luckily you are in the best paws around" came a soft voice, as the scent of milk waifed through the entrance to the den. One of the SunCLan warriors had came to fetch her to attend Burningstar, but she was glad that Mountainsound was already there. The older she-cat had helped her through both of her own kittings, and having her there was always comforting in such situations. "Mountainsound has seen more kitting than most cat will see in a life time" a light purr filled then den as the gray she-cat made her way inside "If something goes wrong both of us will do our best to keep your little ones safe"
Burningstar may have been from NightClan, but that didn't matter in this moment. She was a queen, and kits lives were on the line.
Burningstar let out a weak chuckle. "Thank you Littlebird, and you as well Mountainsound... I appreciate the reassurance." She said, hissing as another contraction hit. This time it went on for a few moments, Burningstar's body screaming the ginger she cat digging her claws into the earth until finally a light ginger shape slipped out into the nest beside Burningstar. Burningstar's flanks heaving as the first kit was brought into the world.

Since mountainsound had been first on the scene, Littlebird allowed her to take the lead and she be the support. She moved over to the leaders head placing a comforting lick between the she-cat's ears "You are doing great Burningstar, it won't be long now" sure enough, a small ginger kit was born mere moments after. "Mountainsound will care for them, just concentrate on breathing through the contractions. There you go, hear that?" she paused letting the squeaks of the small kit to fill the silence "Your kit is doing well, just focus on the next one"
It wasn't hard for the pair to get into a rhythm with each other. Mutual respect and understanding went a long way towards it, and confidence in each others' abilities helped. Nipping the sac, she started licking the kitten for it to breath as Littlebird comforted Burningstar and the kitten began to cry. "You will be fine. And if your pregnancy has gone well up until this point, there is more of a chance the stress will affect you than the kits." If anything, the stress could have caused her to start the kitting now, but it was rather obvious that she was due at any moment, so Mountainsound wasn't exactly worried. Things, though unexpected, were off to a good enough start, and while she couldn't guarantee nothing would be wrong with the kits, one never could, she was optimistic, at the very least.

Littlebird watched the leader's side for contractions that she knew would be coming. She carefully put her paws on the leader's side feeling for the number of kits still left inside, so that they could estimate when the kitting was done. It was going to be a large litter, so Burningstar would have a marathon ahead of her. Grabbing some wet moss that she had brought with her she laid it near the she-cat head "This is for when you get thirsty, you have a lot of kits in there" she purred lightly
