blueHoneystorm Funk E'tan huffed at his own predicament, another strand of grass split in two between his claws. Sure, he didn't expect a big turn out but it was only one cat and it ended up being Corax. He couldn't complain, but he had this great test all planned out for the kits to do and now he had to dump that body in the river or give it to Innocentia. Which is a horrible use of resources but oh well, there was little he could do about it now. It'd felt like Corax had been Resident forever and while Funk figured she'd have the skills to do this, it was better to be safe than sorry when it came to his precious greenhouse. And Funk couldn't help but feel more than one pair of eyes on him whenever Corax and him were alone. Must be some strain of paranoia, least that's what he chose to believe. So he arranged for Miracle to meet him here at the greenhouse to help him with Corax's transition, for lack of a better term. Though a part of him loathed to be in the same group with two cats that made the hairs on his back stand, he wouldn't have given himself the opportunity to back out. That wasn't him. Plucking one of the strands from the ground, he stuck it between his teeth and blew, the faint grass whistle the only noise on this quiet morning.
Corax wasn't entirely certain how she felt about her promotion. Yes, she had certainly hoped she would be chosen, even if only to escape her previous role as Resident, but deep down she hadn't really expected it to happen. Being the only one to step up to take it didn't much help her uncertainty. But she tried her best to hide it. She wasn't nearly as effective as she was when she arrived for the test from Funk that never came. It seemed Raven wasn't interested in helping the new Shaman today. At least she wasn't like Covus who hadn't stopped complaining since she was chosen. Going on and on about how she had officially thrown away what should be hers. Like it didn't matter how much she hated the thought of leading, especally leading the League. Of course, to Corvus it really didn't matter. She cared only about her legacy, not about how her own daughter felt. Even now she was going on, ranting about how this was a waste of time. But Corax ignored her. She'd probably have plenty to focus on instead once Miracle arrived.

Funk E'tan watched the black figure of Corax approach him. Blowing another note out of the grass, his skin didn't crawl as much as it normally does. It must really be in his head. Green eyes went back to the grass, then the horizon as he hoped Miracle would pop out suddenly. But Corax beat her to it, and he offered the black she-cat a toothy grin. "I take it your ready to go through the hardest crash course in medicine anyone has ever seen?" Well, knowing Miracle, she'd make it easier. But Funk needed Corax to be ready for just about anything, "Being Shaman is sink or swim, especially by yourself. So I hope you know how to back float, Corax." He let out another whistle through the grass, eyes returning to the horizon.
