Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
By now, DayClan would have heard about Foxstar's return. And more than that, if they were at all listening to anything the SunClan cats said, perhaps even Glowstar, they knew full well to absolutely avoid the High Priestess at all costs. Especially those who had once been members or initiates of the clan. You see, Foxstar had apparently gone crazy during her confinement. But her insanity was a touch unlike what one might expect. She seemed lost to her surroundings most times, talking to herself, drifting around on automatic with no apparent plan. Should anyone get within hearing distance, however, the words she spoke were rather... terrifying. It was graphic and dark, plotting out murders with meticulous efficiency, admitting to murders that had still not been solved, to plots long dead no one had ever thought twice about.
The murder of Watch, one of Timerous and Deal's children. Ravenleap, Autumndancer... Drizzlestar's 'accidental' meeting of the dog. Things of that sort. Few if any knew who most of these cats were, let alone the effect admitting these things could have on those who heard it. But Deal was around this clan somewhere, Foxstar knew that much. Even lost to her own mind, rambling violent nothingness to the world around her as she strode around, she knew he would be here. Glowstar wouldn't let the cursed tom disappear on her, and she was far too happy to not have found him. Maybe she'd meet him today, see how he was doing and if her traitorous friend had managed to betray her by breaking the curse.
He skirted the edge of the grove and down the slope, attentive gaze flashing warily from side to the side. He was less paranoid now that his curse had been broken, but old habits died hard, and sometimes he wondered how many of his memories had been fabricated and how many he had simply misread. His mate might not secretly loathe him with every fiber of her being, taking her sweet revenge through making mock of him, but who was to say the other cats he encountered didn't hate him? He was sure some of them still did. There were few cats he was certain about now. He had chosen to keep to himself now, biding his time until he felt safe to interact with the rest of the clan.
A rabbit darted from his left and he spun right, chasing hard after it. He dashed through the wheat fields and was nearly upon it when he glanced up and saw her in front of him.
Deal stumbled to a halt, his prey forgotten as he stared at the fiery she-cat. His paw rose automatically to touch his throat, shuddering at the memory, then slowly backed away. He couldn't— he couldn't see her, he didn't want to talk to her, even the few hints Darkcomplex had dropped to him made his head pound. His lip curled in a snarl as he retreated. "Stay— Stay back."

If he hadn't said anything, had backed away before she noticed his scent, he would have been fine. As it was, it took a few long moments for his scent to come to her, just long enough to speak about murdering Crowlight before his scent registered and her gaze immediately fell on him in recognition. So he was back to normal after all. Well, she would just have to tear down everything for him all again. Once again, she realized she'd forgotten to dose her claws with the poisons and paralytics, but no matter, she clearly did not need them in this instance.
"Ah, my favorite little tortured soul." Her words were sharp and different than normal. Even in her darkest moments with Deal, she'd always been terrifyingly composed. And she was now, in the sense that she knew how to play the game and be patience. However, there was nothing hidden in her gaze any longer. All there was behind her eyes was unhinged hatred, promises of death and unquestionable danger in the ivy gaze. "So the league rat did manage to turn you back to normal. Ah well, that's my fault for relying on worthless deities to do the job right. Guess I'll just have to do it all myself." Never had the fox-furred feline been so forward of her intentions. Of course, there was something to her aura, as if her actions weren't already enough, to tell Deal that something was very, very wrong, and that if he were wise, he would run.
His pelt ruffled at the mention of his daughter, but that was old news now, so he gritted his teeth and ignored it. Her voice was different, though, unnerving; somehow the sheer hatred was less intimidating than her calm, for once she wasn't playing tricks and at least now he could see the truth in her eyes, but anything that would destabilize her so badly terrified him even more. If she had been pushed to this point, and she had been ruthless before, what could possibly stop her now? Once again he found himself wishing he had gone through with murdering her when he had the chance. Deal didn't want any more blood on his paws, but how many lives could he have saved if he had?
"You've done enough," he muttered, ears pinning back as he glanced away - then back at her. She was too dangerous to look away from. "I won't bother you anymore, just leave me be."

"It's never going to be enough, Deal. Not until nightmares plague your every dream, until you can't even bear to open your eyes, lest you see the pain around you. How about we start now? I've been gone a few months, I think we have some catching up to do." There was a soft, insane laughter that rang around them as she leaned forward tauntingly slow, paw rising to grasp his chin and pull him in close, blood pricking lightly against extended claws. "I think I'd like that very much. Wouldn't you?"
He tensed, his heart pounding hard as she drew close, the corner of his lip drawing up into a half-hearted snarl. He knew he couldn't run from her, she was fast and he didn't want to know if she was faster than he was, and there was a chance now--- a very tiny chance--- if he played along he could get out of this alive and mostly unharmed. But if he ran and she caught him, he would lose every opportunity, so he remained paralyzed by the predator circling him.
"You've done enough," he repeated, softly, looking into her eyes, "you've already done that. You don't think you ruined my life? You think I just got better?" He had seen the pain he caused, had felt it, and though he may not have nightmares often -- he rarely dreamed to begin with -- he had suffered enough.

"Oh, no, no, no, my imbecile ex." She singsonged, shaking her head ever so slightly. "I haven't done nearly enough. You're far too happy with Glowy girl over here. You look like you could even manage a smile. If you're not clawing out your own eyes to try and look away, then I'm being far too nice. Now come alone like a good little menace and let's play." She let her paw drop, hooking claws into his ankle, and began to drag him away towards the border, dangerous amounts of pleasure crossing her face at the prospects. Unlike him, she'd been keeping tabs on cats, and once she'd gotten back, she had been updated. She knew full well who to start with. It was going to be wonderful..
It had been worth the effort. Dread coiled in his belly as she started to drag him on and he resisted, leaning back with a low growl and tearing his paw away from her grasp. He didn't run, but stalked at her side-- a tail-length to the side, trying to buy himself time in case she grabbed at him again. If he went along willingly, then at least he wouldn't be crippled to prevent him from escaping. If she trusted him to play along and not run when they arrived... wherever they were going.
Deal swallowed hard. None of his hopes had worked out so far.

Oh, she didn't trust him at all. But she knew he was too stupid to try and run, at least at this point. Of course, the moment they were out of the territory, the Priestess grabbed his head and smashed it against the nearest tree, watching as he slumped to the ground in an instant. "Now the real fun begins."
By the time the tom came to, he found himself locked up in a cage, city sounds all around him. By now, it was early morning, probably the next day, at least. Foxstar had kept him under with poppy seeds and paralytics to keep him from being able to comprehend what was going on. There was and eerie humming, and a strangely familiar voice yelling out, cursing Foxstar, and begging Deal to wake up.
The moment he raised his head to look, he'd see it. Timerous, tied to a wall with twoleg things, her very pregnant stomach in full view.
Deal wondered if they were walking to his death. Not his final one, that would be too easy, but would she take his remaining lives in her torture? He wasn't sure if she could risk it -- kill him too many times and she'd lose her shot at making his miserable existence last any longer. He couldn't even remember how many times he had died now; was he already on his last legs? He gazed mournfully at the border as they neared and crossed it, chest constricting, and his eyes widened in surprise as she suddenly slammed against him.
Everything went dark and silent as he slumped to the ground, not fully unconscious judging by the pounding in his head, but then maybe he was, because when he opened his eyes again the light was all wrong. The lucid state of the drugs felt like only minutes had passed, but it must have been much longer. He groaned, ears pinning back to block out that incessant yelling, but when he couldn't take it anymore he loosed a quivering breath and flopped his head back to look around.
Timerous?
He scrambled to his paws, his addled mind still too detached from his body as his legs struggled to obey his commands. He stumbled to the side of the cage and leaned against it for support as he tried to squeeze through the bars or break them apart with his claws.

"Oh, you naive tom. Are you really so daft that you can't figure it all out?" Foxstar's voice rang through the empty building's room, claws clicking on the ground as she emerged from the shadows, laughter in her eyes. "She's going to die today. And it's all your fault! And not even just her. Her little tom friend too." A growl seemed to echo at that statement, bringing light to the tom off to the side. Eternallaughter. The Immortal Council member.
"TOUCH HER AND YOU DIE." The heavily scarred tom's voice shook with rage as he tried to fight against the straps holding him in place, to no avail.
For the moment, the deranged Priestess didn't pay him any mind. "Well Deal, I did all this for you. I do hope you enjoy it as much as I will."
The instant he heard her voice he knew what he had forgotten. Anger seethed through him and he glared around the building, searching for the leader. "Let them go," he snarled. "They have nothing to do with us!" He ignored the other tom for now, his heart pounding as he focused on Timerous. He hadn't seen her for moons before the last night they'd met. Before then he hadn't seen her since she kitted, and even now as he looked at her he remembered the scene when they found her-- blood soaking her fur, on the verge of death, staring into her son's eyes. It had terrified him enough he avoided her until they bumped into each other again, and then... well, the danger seemed passed, the attacker must be gone or dead or given up, and he loved her still.
He should never have gone back.
Deal swallowed hard as he dropped his head. This was his fault. He found himself praying someone would show up and save her from this fate. Timerous didn't deserve to die.
"Let her go, please," he pleaded, looking up at the leader. "She's-- she's expecting his kits, you can't kill their mother."
Hellfire swirled in her eyes like hurricanes, as the scent of Foxstar intruded in her pretty direction. Destiny had once again brought Deal's paws to her and should destiny manifest into a cat before her she'd gut her like a fish. Every turn they took, every step they advanced, destiny was close at their heels forcing storm and pain to keep herself and Deal away from one another. Her eyes reflected something unholy out of lore and fear, burning with a type of madness that fed on chaos like a forest to a wild fire. "You brought this on yourself, Foxy," She sang out softly as she made the trek towards the city.
Glowstar lifted herself up onto the low window ledge, Foxstar's scent as visible as the blood trail and carnage she left behind in her wake. The window was murky, it was easy to make out Foxstar's brighter coat of fur, but noticing Timerous and Eternallaughter when they were unable to move was a bit of a harder task. She couldn't see either of them and only recognized that Deal was in there because where Foxstar was, he likely was too. Usually on a window there was some way in, a mechanism to lift or push, but there were none. With the smog and countless scents in the air it was hard to dictate exactly where Foxstar had gone to enter the building. Glowstar glared at the window and gave it an annoyed punch only to find the window turn inward like a revolving door. She caught air as the other side of the wind rotated to the side shoving her through and into the makeshift lair that Foxstar had produced.
"HOLY-"
Glowstar fell into a pile of garbage bags off to the side, but whatever was in it had enough cushion to break her fall. She managed to clamber out from the bags, almost tripping again, but stood up fully once out before pointing an accusing paw in Foxstar's direction, "Alright, crazy, where's my badger boy?"
She felt watched... Her gaze drifted off to the side, "Oh hey, Eternallaughter, pregnant lady. Oh, mouse dung, Eternal's here!? Dammit Fox, this is just sad seeing you obsess over the same guy for so long. Like, you're so much more than just an arch nemesis to him, like move on, girl, there are better people to be angry at."

The anger, the pain in his voice was like music to her ears. Foxstar practically wanted to prance around the place as he refused to acknowledge Eternallaughter, the poor, poor, WaterClan reject who finally made something of himself, finally found a she-cat to accept him as he was, and now he was here.
"Poor Timerous. Never can catch a break, can she? First, some mysterious cat attacks her when she's kitting, nearly killing her, and taking the life of a certain black and white child of hers. And now, she finally feels comfortable enough to speak with you again after it all, finally finds a tom in DayClan who she can settle down with, maybe even move her family there. But she's here, instead of joyously awaiting her kitting, as is the tom she intended to take on as a mate, all because of the cat she just couldn't ever quite get over." It was some sort of horrific retelling of her story, but from the corner of her eye, she could see the scarlet, husky patterned she-cat blanch.
Foxstar remembered the scene only too well, and the knowing expression that was written across her features focused on Deal, taunting him with the idea that she had been the cause of it all. "Who says what I can and cannot do, Deal? Queens have died by my paw, and they shall die again."
Almost as soon as she'd finished her comments, a new face appeared. Well, it wasn't really knew, the High Priestess recognized the DayClan leader full well. That accusing tone, followed by the startled realization and attempt to dissuade her from her path. If Glowstar wanted to play that game, they why not?
"Perhaps you're right, my dear sister." Her tail swished, indicating a cage nearly identical, but about a foot apart from, Deal's. It was checkered wire, too small to even really fit a paw through properly, with a metal bottom, the entire thing big enough for the average cat. "How about we focus on you instead? Just step inside this cage here a moment so I can properly prepare, and we can work through our own issues, hmm?" It was a tempting offer, and Foxstar looked entirely serious, even excited about it. And the fox-heart knew how much Glowstar liked being tortured. It was like dangling a plump bit of prey in front of a starving cat. Irresistible.
His jaw clenched. Every word she said was true, twisted but true, and he hated himself for putting Timerous through it. He pressed his forehead against the mesh, letting out a shaky breath. He couldn't even focus on the revelation that she knew the details of her second kitting, that maybe she had been the attacker, there was no time to go down that dark tunnel. The present situation demanded his full attention.
"You know none of this is her fault," he murmured slowly, "but you're doing it anyway." It shouldn't surprise him, after all this time. She had always been manipulative, always been cruel, and he had known that since they met, but somewhere along the line he had forgotten. He had hoped she was capable of more, and he'd been so wrong. Deal would beg if that was what she wanted, he would swallow his pride and cry and plead if it would change things, would give himself up in a heartbeat, but he already knew none of it would help. Foxstar could never be reasoned with, and in her current madness his chances would not be any better. But he couldn't do nothing. He couldn't watch her die.
Deal felt a rush of relief at the arrival of his mate. He straightened up and looked at her urgently, his gaze flicking between the two she-cats, hoping she would put the pieces together. Foxstar was her friend, but she wouldn't let her kill an innocent cat. His mind raced. What had their code been? "Glowstar! How's the weather? Is it raining cats and dogs out there?"
Her eyes lit up at the sight of a cage letting out a dreamy gasp, a smile spreading across her lips with giddy excitement, "Aww, you even made sure it would be cramped for me!" She squealed, it had been far too long since they messed with one another without having to spread their attention thin with other cats. Her gaze flicked to Deal, "Pft, yeah, howdy there, I guess I did kind of fall out of nowhere," She laughed before narrowing her eyes at Foxstar with annoyance, "Look, I'll only go in that cage if you promise me you won't totally neglect me for Deal like you did, I don't know, every other time? Like-"
She kicked back a wooden stake into her cage, "Like that? Y'know, give me something special."
Glowstar circled slowly towards the other side of the room away from the cage. She had her natural tall size on her side where it would be harder for Foxstar to shove her in, but it wasn't impossible. There were a lot of lives at stake and fact was she couldn't free any of them fast enough before Foxstar got to her, the only option was to fight or land the right blow to her head. She had the adrenaline booster on her side, but it also made her collapse for a few seconds before its effects flowed completely in her veins. Maybe she could defeat Foxstar, but when she had the adrenaline she became even more unhinged. Crazy vs Crazy was pretty 50/50 and right now Foxstar knew the environment better than her. There were too many unknown variables in a situation as precarious as this. But there was one decision that couldn't be regretted.
Glowstar in one quick motioned dragged her claws quick and deep into Timerous's side, releasing the ginseng herbs adrenaline into her. If Timerous was hurt, she had adrenaline on her and her kits side. Her eyes turned on Foxstar locking into hers with a look that said, let's dance, but her confidence wasn't all there. She had used her reaction time to inject the adrenaline into Timerous, whatever Foxstar picked her aim to be would hit.
