Now that her children had begun to open their eyes, Littlebird was determined to spend more one on one time with them, despite everything that she was trying to juggle at the moment. Her children were always a priority, and right now they were still young and impressionable. She had already been taken away from them for longer than she would have liked.
Arctickit was first on her list, she always seemed so distant and slow to warm up. She needed to form a strong connection with her now, before she got any older "Hey, would you like to help me go out and gather some herbs?" she purred lightly toughing he daughter on the shoulder. She wouldn't take her far from camp, but it would still be an almost irresistable adventure for the little she-cat.
Having gotten used to never being talked to or even noticed much, the touch made Arctickit jump. She swung around, golden eyes wide, before her mother's voice registered in her mind. Instinctively, she relaxed, and nodded her head, almost excitedly. Herbs meant going outside of camp, didn't they? Not many kits got to leave camp at her age, so she would get something to brag about later. If anyone even bothered to listen to her soft voice. She shook her head, expelling the thoughts from her mind. This was going to be something exciting! There was no room for sadness. She bounded forward a couple of paces, then stopped and eagerly waiting for Littlebird.

"Yes and it will be just you and me today" she purred lightly pressing her nose against the little she-cats head. She had noticed that Arctickit had been feeling a little down, and that perhaps a little one on one time would do the trick to help cheer her up. From here to herb garden wasn't to long of a walk, but it would be exciting for any it and quite a beautiful stroll. She could even see the hot springs for once.
The soft sound of a purr vibrated through Arctickit as her mother caught up, and she smiled up at her following her words. This time, she walked with Littlebird, pushing herself against her side. She felt completely at ease, safe in the company of her mother. Even if they were heading outside, they would be okay. There would be so many cool things to see!

Littlebird lead her daughter out of the tunnels that kept the entrance to their camp safe. It was a tangled mess that made it difficult for outsiders to find their way "Just remember to only leave camp if you are with me or your father a lot of these tunnels can be dangerous" she warned lightly. Most of the kits already knew this, but sometimes kits got overconfident after leaving camp once with an adult and would get lost.
With all of the tension back at camp, it felt nice to leave it all behind for a little while and just enjoy time with Artickit "So tell me, what is one thing that you want to see?" she asked with a little smile
