Foxstar was free. And Foxstar was insane. Sun God help the clan.
The Priestess roamed freely now that she'd given birth to her kits, with a tom not her own mate, not that she much cared. For that matter, it didn't seem like she was paying attention to her surroundings at all, moving on automatic and talking to herself. The words were none too kind either. In fact, it was rather eerie and disturbing for anyone not extraordinarily dark-hearted. She was concocting plans of murder. Mostly directed towards their fellow Pride clans, which was perhaps not the best course of action... considering they'd end up outnumbered quite easily. Glowstar had a tendency to make friends, Foxstar had a tendency to gather enemies. There were few, if any, clans that would actually want to help SunClan if they went to war with their allies.

LIONPAW
THE LOVEABLE - SUNCLAN APRPENTICE
Littlebird had warned him to stay away from Foxstar, but now that she was free to roam the SunClan camp at will, Lionpaw didn't have many options of getting away from her. Plus he didn't really understand what was going on or why he needed to avoid the High Priestess. She had always been nice to him in the past, so he assumed that she and his mother were just at odd over everything that had been happening over the past few moons. Littlebird had taken a while to free her, even though she had been doing her best...
When he spotted the ginger she-cat emerging into the sunlight, he didn't approach but neither did he try to hide. Instead he watched quizically, his head tilted slightly out of curiosity.

It was rather graphic, the things Lionpaw would hear. Talk about ripping apart newborn kittens in front of their allies, poisoning others and making her friends watch as everything disintegrated around them. As if that wasn't disturbing enough on it's own, Foxstar was entirely serious. She listed the ingredients she needed, the cats to talk to, and even once or twice, made a vague comment to herself to remember to put Littlebird's kits on the kill list. The Priestess didn't even seem to notice the tom's presence.

LIONPAW
THE LOVEABLE - SUNCLAN APRPENTICE
Lionpaw simply listened, the utter horror on his face rather apparent. Lionpaw was a gentle soul, and even the thought of killing animals to eat made him feel sick to his stomach. So all this talk of graphic murder was something he had never been exposed to. If his pupils got much larger they may have popped out of his head.
Unable to take it any longer, he rose to his paws and rushed off into the tunnels that were the only exit to the camp. His stomach was flipping over inside of him, his heart was racing, and he felt like throwing up.

It was only when he moved, when he ran, that anything registered in the Priestess mind. Oh, well, wasn't this convenient. He was fleeing, all alone, right in front of her. Perhaps she could make quick work of him and string his body up at the Cursed Rock. Littlebird would be so devastated. That would teach her to question her leader.
Without much more thought, the she-cat found herself trotting after Lionpaw, humming a distorted tune that only seemed to grow in volume as she slowly, but surely, followed the apprentice by his scent, not really paying attention to anything else around her save for tracking this cat.

LIONPAW
THE LOVEABLE - SUNCLAN APRPENTICE
Lionpaw hadn't realized that Foxstar was following him until he exited the tunnel, and began to hear her humming. His first thought was to flee farther, but that would only put more distance between him and anyone that could help him. He ran forward snaking through the trees, before circling back and waiting in hiding. Maybe she would just keep following his scent and go on so that he could get back to camp. He could feel the muscles along his spine trembling, knowing that Foxstar was coming for him and there was no one there that could stop her.
It wasn't long before Skipstep heard the humming. Foxstar wasn't so naive, even in insanity, so as to be outsmarted by a mere apprentice, even if he was Littlebird's son. Of course, she hardly seemed to notice Skipstep, until she was almost upon them, and then she blinked, a dangerous sort of smile gracing her features. It was unabashedly threatening, the sort of look that made one's hair stand on end. That was perhaps one of the most notable things. With much of her awareness stripped away except for such moments as this, of lethal clarity, so had all filters to her actions. No longer did she simply go behind others' backs to kill cats such as her own kits, she had no thought to hide it at all. Which was both to her detriment, and to the terror of those around her.
Next time she left, she'd have to make sure to dose her claws with paralytics. They should still have more than enough if Littlebird had planned to use it so long. It was simply a matter of finding it, or ordering someone to tell her where it was if she could not find it. "Ah, Skipstep, Lionpaw, just who I was looking for.~"

LIONPAW
THE LOVEABLE - SUNCLAN APRPENTICE
Lionpaw had been so preoccupied with getting away from Foxstar that he hadn't been paying attention to much else when he crashed into Skipstep "Dad, help. It's auntie foxstar" he glanced he them as the humming got louder, crouching down and trying to get Skipstep to do the same "she... she wants to kill me" the terror in his rang true and he trembled as Foxstar came out of the tunnels and turned right to them.
He scramble backwards behind skipstep, swallowing hard
Skipstep's pelt prickled when Lionpaw said it was Foxstar, and then his head snapped up when Foxstar appeared. His tail immediately moved to push Lionpaw fully behind him as the tom stepped back, eyeing Foxstar.
"Really? What do you need?" He asked coolly, keeping his tail on Lionpaw ready to shove his son away if Foxstar attacked, bracing himself as well.

LIONPAW
THE LOVEABLE - SUNCLAN APRPENTICE
The words that foxstar spoke repeated over and over in her mind. At first it seemed like the ramblings of insanity, but the look in her eyes told him that she wouldn't be afraid to act on it. He stood behind his father, a shiver making its way down as his spine under the intensity of her gaze.

"It's about time for Lionpaw's final assessment." She replied instantly, her tone even despite have only just thought of the suggestion. "I didn't want him to have notice before hand, and a chance to prepare." It was only too reasonable of a request.
Of course, that wasn't her intention at all, but Skipstep didn't need to know that. She needed Lionpaw alone, and after that, she could deal with the pesky Janus.

"I would urge you not to lie to me, Lionpaw. My grandchild has been raving about you and your skills." Whether Feinignorance really had approved the tom for promotion or not, in this moment, it didn't really matter. She was too quick to answer, and these two needed a reason to get as far away from her as possible. Especially as no one else had appeared yet to save them from the fate Foxstar seemed to have for the young tom of the pair.
"You're correct, Feinignorance has sung the praises of my son, and it was that reason Lionpaw came to me," Skipstep said. "I promised to give him some lessons to help better prepare for his assessment, that was set for tomorrow I believe. As Lionpaw asked for some extra preparation this morning." Skipstep said smoothly maintaining his position between Foxstar. "But if need be, we can go speak with Feinignorance, if I'm mistaken on when the assesmment was to be, I believe he should be in the warriors den."
Foxstar cursed under her breath, though really, she nearly so quiet as she thought she was. Skipstep had her there. And she was certain Lionpaw's mentor would back up the date they'd set, rather than the one she was trying to push, unfortunately. As the plan came unraveled, so did her focus. Murmurings of a new plan, of making the Janus pay for his attitude, of possibly causing an 'accident' during Lionpaw's assessment.
For the moment, at least, she seemed to have forgotten about the pair in front of her, despite talking about them in disturbing detail.

LIONPAW
THE LOVEABLE - SUNCLAN APRPENTICE
His yellow eyes kept flashing from his father to Foxstar and back, as he slowly started backing away from the crazed leader as she went into her mutterings. He had never seen her look at him like that. He was practically raised with the she-cat always being around since Foxstar and Littlebird shared a den, and he couldn't slow the pounding of his heart at the though of this cat he had always looked up to wanting to hurt him.
