THE CURIOUS - NIGHTCLAN APPRENTICE
Divinepaw couldn't help but stare down at the dog that was circling the tree below him, at the very outskirts of NightClan's territory. He took a deep breath, knowing that it couldn't reach him at this height. This time, it had almost caught him. If he had a long tail like that other cats in the clan, perhaps it would have.
He knew that he should stay away from the twolegs, but he couldn't help himself. They were fascinating, and now that they had been intruding in and causing trouble for NightClan, he thought it was important to find out what they were up to. Was it dangerous? sure but he had never been one to let the threat of danger stand in his way.
Unfortunately this time the twolegs had a big mutt tied up outside their camp, and when it had scented him it and managed to chase him up a tree. He sighed, but suddenly he from behind something grabbed his scruff. He let out a scream, but whatever had him wasn't letting go. He clawed at the air as he suddenly found himself being tossed into a metal cage.
[The twolegs are taking him to be experimented on]
Pale blue eyes watched this play out from a tree, the very tree the apprentice has been yanked out of, only he'd been much higher. Mysterium had, until a short time ago thought he was busted once again for trespassing on a clan's territory. How fortunate that he'd been saved in such a spectacular way. But still.. The dark pelted tom was pretty cold hearted, a family trait if you will, but watching a cat being taken for such an uncertain fate? His tail tip twitched with indecision. To help and possibly be clawed for his efforts or to have this cat's fate on his soul when the high powers finally caught up with him. But what could he even do?

THE CURIOUS - NIGHTCLAN APPRENTICE
Divinepaw screamed slamming himself repeatedly into the harsh metal as it bit into his flesh. The cruel material was everywhere, even under his tender paws. In his panic, he spun around, flecks of blood begining to stain his white pelt. He had never been in such a thing before, he had never even really seen a two-leg before now "Nooo" he lowered his head and rammed it as hard as he could into the entrance that he came through, his only reward being blood dripping from his nose
Soaringbird had been chasing some birds in the waning daylight, enjoying the chase in the tree branches. Though at the sound of the shout she froze and turned towards the source, eyes wide. Immediately abandoning her hunt the silver gray tabby she cat bolted through the branches, bouncing from branch to branch with ease, before coming to a stop in the 'v' of the tree branch and the trunk of a large sturdy oak, high enough up the twoleg wouldn't be able to grasp her, but she could see everything now. Divinepaw trapped in the cage, the dog, and the twoleg.
Gritting her teeth she looked around before beginning to climb down. If she jumped close, the twoleg would possibly notice her, but she could see Divinepaw was bleeding in the cage.
She looked at the dog unsure what to do about it. Then as she surveyed the scene she caught scent of an unfamiliar cat her ears pricking she turned towards the source and spotted Mysterium. She carefully picked her way down the tree and jumped from tree to tree to get close to the other cat.
"Hey!" She hissed her voice in a harsh whisper. "Who are you? And would you be willing to help me try to help Divinepaw? If you do you'll get safe passage through NightClan." Burningstar would allow that, she couldn't see her sister disagreeing with that.
"Myst, and yes I was just trying to decide how I was going to do that." He hissed back, after sharply turning his gaze to the new cat. He was larger than her, given he was larger than most cats, so that made the decision for him. "I'll distract the dog, you try to free the apprentice."
He didn't pause to talk anymore, the twoleg was already beginning to retreat. As the dog paused under his tree he dropped, digging his claws and teeth into the creatures flank. The canine gave a yelp and started to run, it's fear scent thick. HE could only hope that her could distract it long enough for Soaringbird to get to Divinepaw.

THE CURIOUS - NIGHTCLAN APPRENTICE
Divinepaw scrambled backwards in shock, as it set in that he was truely trapped. There seemed to be no way out, but just as he was begining to give up the dog suddenly yelped. He turned that way only to see a cat that he didn't recognize attacking, this truely was one of the strangest nights in his young life. He couldn't smell his clan-mate due to the blood that welled around his nose.
With the dog distracted Soaringbird scrambled down the tree enough for her to be able to jump off the trunk and dart along the ground in a blur of silver and white to Divinepaw's cage. "All right, let's get you out of there." Soaringbird murmured beginning to work at getting the cage opened, working at the latch as best she could.
The dog and Mysterium were well away at this point. Upon seeing his canine come under attack the twoleg also gave chase, leaving the cage for Soaringbird to work open. The dark pelted tom's heart was pounding as he clung to the dog who's snapping jaws were just missing his tail and legs as the turned back in forth in hopes of dislodging him.
With the twoleg gone, Soaringbird was given a little time to breath and she took a few deep breaths trying to slow her racing heart, as her eyes quickly went over the locking mechanism that kept the cage latched shut. Upon closer inspection she saw that the latch was supposed to turn a certain way. She unsheathed her claws and clawed at the part, twisting it this way and that to work the bit of metal loose. Then finally it pulled free and the door came open.
"Quick! Divinepaw, get out." She urged throwing the door open and stepping aside to let him make a break for it.

THE CURIOUS - NIGHTCLAN APPRENTICE
Whasting no time, Divinepaw took off out of the door of the cage and scramble up a near by tree, still a little disoriented by the whole affair. He left a trail of blood behind him from his bleeding nose, a little splatter of it falling down from his pertch. Then he looked at the cat being chased by the dog "Shouldn't we help them?" he asked Soaringbird
Seeing a white figure streak up a tree, Myst figured the apprentice had been freed. Quickly disengaging himself from the dog, he bolted with every bit of speed he had for a tree to his right. He swore he felt his tail slip through the dog's teeth as he hauled himself up the rough bark and into a branch, still laden with leaves that hid him from canine and twoleg alike.
From his perch he heard the twoleg barking harsh orders at the dog before it stopped barking and returned to the twoleg's side. More harsh sounds when the twoleg returned to find his trap empty and after a few moment it seemed to given up and began walking out of the forest, it's dog trailing behind slowly, as though he was waiting for the cat's to reappear. It was only after the forest was silent for many heat beats that Myst dared to move from his hiding place and go in search of the other cats, snagging from cobwebs while he was at it to place on the apprentices bloody nose.
Soaringbird had also immediately ran for a tree. She climbed with practiced ease, easily scaling to a point where she could get a good view of everything. But not too high that the branches she could jump from would be too brittle to take her weight.
When she reached her perch, she confirmed Divinepaw was safe, though he was trailing blood. And when she focused on Myst she saw the dog barking up a tree and could just glimpse the colors of his pelt through the leaves. She let out a breath maintaining her position until the dog and twoleg had left.
Then she scaled down the tree and headed to Divinepaw's tree joining Myst on the ground below. "Thank you, without you that would've been quite difficult." She said.

He jumped down as well, a little blood splattering as he landed "Yeah thank ya chika" he grinned cheekily "I don't know who you are, or why you saved me" he paused and looked at Soaringbird "Well maybe she had something to do with it, but any way thank you"
