THE PROTECTOR - NIGHTCLAN WARRIOR
Was there anything more calming that hunting out with only the light of the stars and moon to guide you? The feeling of the soft grass caressing your paws? The soft babbeling of the river and the chirp of crickets filling your eyes? In Spiderfang's view there wasn't. The only that could have made this night more perfect, would have been having that special someone at his side.
He took in a deep breathe, filling his lungs with cool night air when something caught his attention. It started off as a rumble, and it got louder and louder. His fur stood on end, and turned to scramble up a tree just as a little monster with a twoleg on it's back came rumbling through. He had no idea that monsters could go off of the thunderpaths as he stared wide eyed. The twoleg got off of it's back, carrying something large and shiney. He flinched as a loud pop came out over the roar of the monster, and a sweet scent filled the air. The twoleg placed the shiney thing in the bushes, hiding it from view before getting on the monster and disappearing into the distance.
A ginger shape draped over a low hanging branch nearby with a tail dangling in the air, twitching from side to side. Turquoise eyes illuminated against the shadows, giving off an intriguing bluish glow. The shape slid off the branch like a serpent, landing on the forest floor with a graceful thump. As the shape circled the trap, it locked its cold gaze on Spiderfang. It was until then that the shape was recognized as a female cat. Not just any female cat, however, but the one and only Flame. A long obvious scar stretched across her muzzle while other smaller scars were hidden well behind her fiery ginger fur. She was strong and well built, muscles rippled under her coat as she walked. She looked deadly, powerful, yet beautiful and charming all the same.
Flame was born and raised in Moonclan and it wasnt until she recieved her warrior name that she turned on her own clan and joined Primal Instinct. The well trained murderer was given the opritunity to soften Burningstar up by stealing her kits from Moonclan and returning them to her. Burningstar had agreed to an alliance. After spending some time among the Nightclan cats, the dangerous feline escaped the ranks of the league and asked to join Nightclan. Now, she prowls the Nightclan territory, freely.
Flame slipped into the trap and grabbed the shiny rock that smelled enticingly while avoiding the trigger all together. She grabbed it between her jaws and pulled it out and laid it on the forest floor. "Two-legs think we are so dumb" she scoffed as she circled to the side of the trap and slid her paw between the strips of metal, clear and free of the trapped door, and applied pressure on the trigger which released the door and it closed shut with a loud snap! Flame casually removed her paw before taking a bite out of the bait. "You should try this. Guarantee it is life changing." She invited with a purr as she scooted the can of food toward the other cat.

Spiderfang eyes Flame with almost the same ammount of suspicion as the twoleg. Others in the clan had come to trust her, but even now the fur along his spine was ruffled. He didn't let down his guard so easily, especially when the cat before him had competing loyalties. Sure she had joined NightClan, but this wasn't her home. She didn't have a family here, so what was to keep her from turning on them next? Just like she had down in her previous clan.
However he couldn't help but watch with curiosity as she maneuvered the food out of the cage and closed it. As the scent from the food reached his nose, he scrunched it up "Thanks but no thanks. I don't eat kittypet food"
