Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Her claws itched, boredom and ambition gnawed at her. As cats passed back in forth in camp, Chiharu's idocrase eyes followed from cat to cat, her tail flickering with a sort of antsy, excited impatience. No one looked right, none seemed the right type. Frustration bit at her. Why was it so difficult to find? Why in a crowd of cats was it so hard to find one who seemed both skilled and interested enough to battle practice with her?
She longed to improve, and she was far too old and far too skilled now to merely practice fighting by herself. But finding a partner who seemed both willing and skilled enough was a hard challenge, she had found that out ever since she had moved past tyro age. With no reason to push themselves, so many cats got complacent, accepting of the fact that their learning was done and quick to go through the typical grind of every day life without pushing herself. But not her. She had to push herself, and wanted so badly to find someone who would.
But as the typical back and forth of camp droned on, her heart sank. It seemed everyone was focused on the daily grind, if not content with sleeping away the day or mindlessly socializing. She considered the fact she could rip away one of the charged and have them act as a test dummy, but what sort of learning would that give her for a real battle? She held back a growl of frustration, letting her whiskers merely twitch restlessly instead.
