( I think Foxstar has lost it guys. She's gone off the deep end and someone needs to smack her. Hard, preferably. xD )
Most cats were probably wondering how Foxstar managed to get herself locked up in the Regime's prisons. After all, she was charismatic, and bright, and quite thoughtful, so why would anyone have a vendetta against her?
Well actually, there was absolutely not one single person surprised by this outcome. If they were, then they really didn't know the High Priestess. And by didn't know, one probably meant they were halfway around the world and had no clue about these cat colonies full of serial killers and stargazers. Because one only had to hear the name Foxstar to assume she was bad news, and they would be entirely correct.
She was a killer, a liar, a manipulator with a necessity to control each and every single facet of the lives of those around her. A puppet master who thrived on burning the world down and building it back only to tear down once more.
It truly was a predicament she'd gotten herself into this time, however. One she couldn't so easily escape on her own. Her she was, in her dingy little dungeon, all but alone save for the two cats, one of whom was the father of the kits she was carrying. She'd been careful enough to hide it, behind fur, and angles, and shadows, every single trick in the book one could think to hid a pregnancy. You see, the High Priestess, fox-hearted and cruel, had already determined to use their young lives to further her own goals. Wave their lives in the face of the Regime, threaten their potential demise in order to gain her freedom if Mars wasn't already the type who would let her go simply for having children.
Not that she could hide it anymore. They might miss it at a glance, but any real consideration and they'd realize soon enough.
Her guards had doubled in recent times. During her one and only real escape attempt, she'd murdered the mercenaries, had aided the Regime's most wanted prisoner, Kotori, in escaping his prison, letting him return to the League. And now more than ever, they needed her hostage.
Rumor had it that Littlebird had finally put in a lick of effort and gotten something done other than sit around, twiddling her paws and letting her Priestess rot in this Sun forsaken place. Well it was about time the useless little girl had finally stopped having goo goo eyes over her obnoxious little children for long enough to actually do her job. When she'd gotten the little orphan brat, she'd had high hopes for a quiet thing that bowed to her every whim. It had been good enough up until her capture, all blind faith and 'yes Foxstar'. But apparently she'd forgotten her entire purpose was not to think for herself, but to devote every waking moment in service to her Priestess. Maybe those half-clan hellions needed an.. ah, accident, to remind their mother that the Sun God punished those who disobeyed.
And where the heck were Glowstar and Burningstar in this mess. What happened to the idea that messing with one of the Pride messed with them all? Were all her pawns really that useless? Stupid little she-cats with their stupid little morals. Did they not realize their existence was to serve her? But of course, Glowstar couldn't handle it. The League monster turned sweetheart. Could Green make herself any more gag worthy? So much for the loyal dog. How many more times would she have to kick her 'sister' down to force her to listen? Well, she'd just have to pay DayClan back for their leader's disloyalty. Deal was still running around, she was sure. Maybe she could use him to remind Glowstar of her place again. If not... there were other options. Dangerous options. NightClan too. She should have savored the moment longer, taken more lives from that she-cat when she had the chance. If that Promised ever got her out of here, ohh, NightClan was next on that list. She would revel in causing Burningstar so much pain, starting with forcing her to watch the deaths of each and every cat she loved. Limb by limb, she would tear them apart in front of her. That would show her to never forget who the true leader was in all this.
Mars thought he was so clever, him and his brute of an aunt. Oh, she had killed him once, and she could do it again. All she needed was a few seconds in the herb den, or the garden. How did poisoning his entire family sound? No, no that was too good from them. Dangle them above a pack of dogs to be picked apart as he watched in helpless horror before he was the next one put up. And Shule, she had a special place in the Dark Forest. The curses she could inflict to break that resilient spirit, to twist that mind against her own mate, her own kits, family, group. She would find herself her own worst enemy, incapable of keeping herself together.
Sun God curse them all. And curse that worthless deity too. Blah blah blah, rules, can't kill your own kits on your promotion day, can't murder queens and steal their kits like they're your own and kill them too. Try to threaten her with a kit killing the clan. What a joke. Pathetic. No matter how much power this being thought he had, Foxstar would find a way. She was certain the Moon God may lend her his power against his brother. So what of the consequences of knocking both brothers out of the sky?
To the ones watching her... well, it appeared that Foxstar had finally lost it. Actually, she just... had... lost it. The High Priestess was pacing the den, ranting and raving like a downright lunatic. Even worse, if not for the fact of the insanity of her words, of the treasonous and blasphemous things she said that threatened not only her own clan and the one they warred with, but her own supposed allies as well, she seemed relatively normal. Her tone was eerily calm and thoughtful, plotting points and needed things, plans that were far too accurate to be mere passing questions.
No, for each rant against a cat she spoke of, a hundred words for planning went into it, carefully constructed to the point it was easy to get lost in the complexity of it all, to realize just how feasible it was for Foxstar to not only act, but cover her tracks, all thought from even here, in this hovel she now called home.
Worst of all, she wasn't even going to be here much longer, if any of those who considered themselves her friend still wanted her out, that is. Everything in her mind was spoken, each and every word and plan. From the wayward ideas to their formations as actual plans and timelines, downright to specific cats and favors she could call in. If she had her way... well, lots of innocent children would end up dead, uninvolved cats killed simply for the sake of satiating her apparent bloodlust.
If she even ended up living the rest of this day. Whatever day it was.
Burningstar shuddered her tail curling protectively over her belly where her unborn kits were wriggling around. It had been a little rough walking over here, but when she'd been informed of Foxstar's plight she'd stubbornly decided she needed to come help. While she and Foxstar had their differences (big differences), they had an agreement and Burningstar was not one to turn her back on her important cats in her life. And as a fellow member of their Pride, Foxstar was one of them.
Burningstar glanced at Glowstar trying to gauge what her friend thought. For, even as Foxstar spoke calmly and meticulously. It was clear something was off. She hadn't noticed their presence yet. Even though the threat this she cat possessed, Burningstar's heart ached for her fellow. Foxstar had lost her mind down here, and with kits no less. The ginger she cat turned her gaze to Commander Mars. "How long has she been here?" She questioned. It was one of many, whose kits was Foxstar carrying, what had caused the fox colored she cat to become in such a state?
Skipstep shuddered, curling his tail protectively around Littlebird, as he listened to his leader. A cat he respected and would give his life for speak in such a way. Speak of Littlebird such a way, his teeth gritted together and he narrowed his eyes. If it weren't for the code of SunClan he'd suggest leaving her behind and getting far, far, far away. Take Littlebird, Lionpaw, Fernpaw and the rest of their little children to wherever the twolegs had taken Jetclaw. With what Foxstar was muttering it almost sound safer. But he didn't speak, if Foxstar's mind was broken, then it was to Littlebird the decision lay. Skipstep glanced at his mate, sticking close to her, reminding her who he stood by.
His unyielding faith and support for Foxstar had been shook by this show, but in a way at least now he knew. Now he had an inkling of what his leader was capable of, and so did Littlebird. But what did his mate think? Did she see this as a potential threat to them and to SunClan? Foxstar was speaking heresay, and if Littlebird gave the order Skipstep would do what needed to be done.
He imagined the Pride alliance cats might object, but he'd already had twolegs take his sister, he wasn't losing Littlebird and his children.
The only thing keeping him from launching himself at Foxstar and taking her down was that even through the rising fear of her threats, he would let Littlebird decide. With Foxstar out of her mind and speaking heresy, Littlebird was pretty much in the clear to act as High Priestess... at least he thought so.. and they were below ground out of reach of the sun god. And with what Foxstar was saying, the diety would probably grant them mercy.... hopefully.
Sean, a sentinel of Renegade Regime nudged Burningstar, "Hey, love your fur, is it effort or flawless genetics?"
Glowstar had her claws pinched up at the bridge of her snout, "You know what Mars, I told you, hey, you should kill her. But yah didn't. Then I said, hey Mars, you should forgive her, but you flippin' didn't. I just want you to know that Foxstar isolated me in underground in a prison and I didn't go insane so that probably moves you up to the same layer of villainous pollution she's at. I mean- Look at her!" She gestured watching as Foxstar was practically going to start foaming at the mouth in all her ramblings.
"Hey, she was like this when she came in," Sean said leisurely.
"Weren't you the one that was supposed to guard her? You know what, that makes perfect sense, I know I'm probably called a psychopath cause I had to grow up next to you for a year. I figured, y'know Foxstar deserves this, but she doesn't deserve to be tortured by your boring fan fiction stories you make of everyone."
"My Leif and Xuxa ship is a GREAT ship and everyone knows it. Plus I made a new ship where Foxstar gets frisky with the secur-" Sean scoffed.
"They have no chemistry, they've never exchanged words and you just stop, dear God," Glowstar said rubbing her forehead before gesturing once more to Foxstar, her eyes locked on Commander Mars, "You see what you exposed her too? No one deserves be exposed to bad fan fiction."
"Uh yes, it is genetics." Burningstar said uncertainly to Sean shifting to be closer to Glowstar, shooting a glance at Larkwing wondering how her deputy was taking all this. He probably was inwardly going over all the abhorrent crimes Foxstar was admitting to. And... they were a lot. It made Burningstar's stomach sink at the realization of just what Foxstar was capable of. But even so, seeing her out of her right mind, and knowing now what she was fully capable of. This wasn't an improvement. Glowstar was right, she should've been either killed, or released. Not driven mad. What would happen when they brought Foxstar out of here? Could they restore her mind? Or should they even. All the crimes she was letting loose, made it clear that Foxstar had done terrible, terrible things. And could if provoked do more. But even as her stomach twisted and the kits kicked away at her insides, she still felt sorry for her fellow pride member. Foxstar didn't deserve this.
Peach glanced at Fox, to Glowstar, to Burningstar, to everyone else, then back to Foxstar. "I might just go," he murmured to the group, "before she goes and kills us too." He still had a small sliver of hope left, but the chances of a successful intervention were rapidly decreasing, in his opinion. Absum Lux may have been a part of the pride alliance, but they were the newest addition to said alliance, and he didn't have the kind of backstory with the others that they all shared with each other - apart from when Burningstar had invaded his former Clan's camp and Foxstar had imprisoned them, which wasn't exactly a glowing endorsement.
He flicked an ear and turned his attention to Glowstar and Sean. "I'll read your fanfiction, Sean," he said blandly, his eyes going back to Foxstar. "Assuming we're both alive after all this. Which we will be, because everything is going to be fine," he added quickly, mostly for Burningstar's benefit. The two of them had had their disputes in the past, but Burningstar clearly cared about Foxstar to some degree, and if there's one thing Peach had learned in his life so far, it was that true friendships were few and far apart, and he should try preserve them as much as he could.
She couldn't help but watch with mixed feelings of disgust and pity. The pale grey tabby she-cat stood near Commander Mars, her steely navy blue eyes scanning the group of cats. Sentinel Elise watched Foxstar warily, unsure of how to react other than to keep an eye on each of the other cats who stood in the prison. She did not say much as she wasn't particularly inclined to join the commentary or conversation the way Sean did, but opted to judge silently. Foxstar seemed to have gone completely mad and she worried that Littlebird may turn on the Commander in this situation or perhaps even Foxstar herself would make a mad dash for him.
Honestly this had not been his intention with keeping her in the prison. It was meant to be a statement to show others that the Regime was not to be messed with, that they would not allow anyone to attack their home and soldiers. The prison was the punishment of all who crossed the Regime and Foxstar was no different. She was the one who had led her clan to his home and she was the one that had been captured. Even so...As he watched her now he couldn't help but to feel a pang of guilt. Was this truly his fault? It was possible, but even so, he still couldn't see any other way he could have handled things.
"You do realize she is the one that led SunClan to attack us right and The sentinels were not the ones set as her guards. They have other duties to attend to." Of course guarding him and Meepo was hardly work since things had been relatively peaceful after SunClan had kidnapped his Soldiers. That was something he would come to later. For now he had to deal with the situation at hand. Foxstar was a danger to everyone here at this point, but he would not make the first move against her unless the situation demanded it. That would be one more thing SunClan would try to use against him. As he saw it now, there was no avoiding the conflict with SunClan. They had his cats and even a nursing Origin just for the sake of the pathetic scrap of fur in front of them.
Well..That is how he wanted to think. He didn't want to pity Foxstar after everything she had done. She didn't deserve it. At the same time she also didn't deserve this.
The sight before he was worse than she could have imagined. She knew Foxstar wouldn’t do well in confinement, but took things to a new level. The cat that stood before her wasn’t Foxstar, not really. It might look like her, sound like her, and smell like her.... but it was little more than a husk. The others were all waiting on her, watching to see what her move would be. Her face remained blank and emotionless, rising to her full height and walking closer than any of the other cats had dared the the raving flailing leader. Without a word she captured the leader’s chin in her paw, claws extending and pricking slightly into her flesh. She watched as Foxstar slowly went limp and fell to hard ground. She stood over the motionless body, as silence fell around them.
Littlebird slowly turned, coming face to face with Commander Mars her face vacant and distant “You promised Foxstar would be returned to me” she paused allowing the silence to fill the air “All I asked was Foxstar be returned to me. I have made many assumptions about you Commander Mars, but this? Even in my darkest nightmares did I think you capable of such cruelty.” She stepped over to where Skipstep waited, Foxstar’s body left lying motionless behind her “Commander Mars I may be small, but I have a long memory. You best hope I am able to bring her back, or I promise the cruelty you have shown here today will be repaid with interest upon those in which you care most about” She motioned as a few SunClan warriors emerged to grab the body. What she had given Foxstar was a variation upon what they had given some of the DayClan queens when they were captured. It would keep her from moving, but her mind would remain aware of the world around her. It wouldn’t hurt the kits that lied with in her, and she could even give birth in this state with assistance. For now it would keep her immobile, allowing her to keep the kits out of the reach of their mother until her mind could be restored. “I’m taking her body back to SunClan” Once the kits were born if her mind couldn’t be saved then she would put an end to this herself. She deserved that much at least. To meet her end at the paw of someone that cared for her, even knowing what had been revealed this day.
Larkwing had been sitting quietly beside Burningstar, occasionally shifting his weight as his paws pricked with unease. Foxstar's state was quite traumatic and Larkwing felt rather sad for the former leader of Sunclan but that wasn't the only thing making him feel uncomfortable. He knew Elsie would be here but didnt think she would be present during the release of Foxstar. This made things far more uncomfortable for him, being this close to a she-cat he formerly liked. They had agreed to never continue their meetings again. They knew they were loyal to their clan and group. He had chosen a mate within Nightclan after the heartbreaking split they took and he wondered if she took it as hard as he did. He thought choosing a mate within his own clan would put his head on straight but being in the same tunnel with Elsie made the aching much stronger. He began to wonder if she had moved on as well but he quickly tried not to think about it. It hurt and besides, he wasn't here to talk to Elsie. He was here for Foxstar and to support his pregnant leader. Although trying to focus on the task at paw, he couldn't help but cast a few sideways glances at her every so often, almost in hopes of catching her eye.
However, dispite his distractions, whatever Littlebird had done to Foxstar caught his attention. Panic rose as he questioned whether or not Littlebird had just killed Foxstar without really touching her but with relief, he realized she was still breathing. How did she do that?, he wondered. Perhaps Littlebird could teach me that some time. He glanced at Burningstar, curious as to what his leader was thinking and silently hoping she was doing okay. He knew the trip here was no good for her in her condition but she had insisted on being here so he voluntarily escorted her to see Foxstar.
Mars tensed at Littlebird's word. His muscles were taught as if he were preparing for a fight and for a moment very real anger shone in his dark green eyes. It only took a second for him to compose himself however. "You are not leaving the tunnels and neither is Foxstar, not until we have an arrangement for you to bring my raisers and guiders back. We captured a SunClan warrior and your leader, both of which have the ability to fight back. SunClan took the cowards way out and captured Guiders and Raisers. You took our healers and the raisers of our tykes instead of soldiers that could properly fight back because you were too much of a coward to put up a proper fight without Foxstar leading you. Might I also remind you what she did to Shule? Can you truly say all of your actions were justified when the lot of you have done nothing but behave like cowards this entire time? The Regime was not looking for this war. We prefer to keep to ourselves mostly and would have left SunClan in peace if you would have done the same for us. Instead you separate mothers from their tykes. You did so with Shule and even now Raiser Jasmine's tykes have no idea where their mother is. You can try to call me a monster for imprisoning a monsterous fox hearted murderer, but what does that make you for following her?" He had taken a few steps towards Littlebird. While he had no intentions of attacking her, he wanted to. He was angry and it was hard to hide it at this point. How dare they play the part of the victim now after everything they had done. That was one thing he refused to let slide.

Foxstar, in the background of it all, just kept ranting on and on, though when subject turned to Sean's fanfiction, her dangerous words became directed at him. "I'm going to tear his tongue from his body and feed it to him, tie him up and paralyze him. Pluck each fur individually from his pelt and wound him only to put maggots in the wound. Let the tiny creatures eat him alive while he's conscious and helpless." She barely had a moment to realize Littlebird was there, but the moment she did, a mere second before the Promised's claw pricked her chin, the darkness within Foxstar's gaze seemed to spark with rage. Claws open, halfway raised to the other she-cat's throat before they froze in the air as the the paralytic took hold and she could feel herself sinking to the ground, one strangled word escaping her maw before she couldn't even force her jaws to work any longer. "Traitor."
Shule watched this all with a sort of passive expression, cold and calm, as she watched the High Priestess flounder as though she could not hear all the horrific things she had planned. Some of the whispers concerning her... well, less her and more her kits, set her on edge, despite her unaffected attitude. She would not, for all the world, let that fox-heart touch Mars or her other children. None of her family would be lost to this she-cat's paw, and she was determined to get those who had been captured back, though that was already being addressed, it seemed. Except, he was getting too involved, and as the Mercenary Superior stepped forward with him, her paw found itself firmly on top of his, not crushing or painful at all really, but cautionary. This could go two ways. One, they figure it out and hopefully never have t osee each other again, or they both end up executing the prisoners they had out of fear or anger or as a show of strength, and then this war would never end.
Nightshadeintution wasn't in as bad a state. The blind tom, during his moons of imprisonment, had been quiet and relatively cordial. Perhaps not surprising, given that both his parents were Medicine Cats once upon a time, but no matter. The ebony cat had been curled in the corner, paws covering his ears in a vain attempt to drown out Foxstar's words, but it was no use. Wormwood had been copying her murders. Foxstar had killed numerous queens, one of which was her own adopted daughter, for nothing more than to prove a killer was still out there and lie to the clan.
When the voices piped up, he allowed himself to listen, their words filtering through Foxstar's deranged speech, and then the Priestess was quiet altogether. At that, he lifted himself up, cautiously finding his way over to where the Priestess lay, though the second he heard her breathing he turned towards those gathered near the entrance of this rather cramped place. Heard the words exchanged. The tom scowled, and though he could feel one of the guards trying to bar his way to Mars and Littlebird, the tom simply ducked and slipped under him without a second thought. "No, you're letting everyone go. BOTH OF YOU." The warrior demanded. Though he was the Soothsayer's father, he had no right to speak, but the golden eyed cat was sick of it.
"I don't care who started what, or what you have done in these last Sun forsaken moons, but you're going to figure this out now. Because I AM NOT SPENDING ONE MORE DAY LISTENING TO FOXY THE CRAZY CAVE DWELLER! You hear me? You two haven't been stuck here for two months being forced to listen to the insanity that comes out of her mouth. I bet I can tell each of you about a hundred ways your planned deaths are going to go, and if you don't kiss and make up, then I think I'm going to be joining her in the effort. Get your paws out of your ears and GIVE IT A REST. We can work on apologies when our pregnant Priestess is in her right mind, and everyone is back where they belong okay!? I don't think either of you understand the kind of insanity I've been forced to listen to. God-complex wolf boy over here, fanfic tunnel tom there, and kookoo crazy back on the ground back there. I'm losing it, and I'm not going to be standing for being subjected to this all on moment longer." His breathing was hard, and despite not being able to see anyone in the group, his head swiveled more or less to look between Mars and Littlebird, his expression sharp and forceful, on the verge of smacking both their heads together a few time just to make himself feel better.
Up until this point, Mountainsound's son had been a model prisoner. Some of the guards probably even respected him. But he had limits. And Foxstar was his limit. To be quite honest, he'd be pretty happy right now if Littlebird banished him and he could simply go live in DayClan for the rest of his life never required to see her face again. Not that he would ever be that lucky.
"It's called loyalty" her voice echoed through the tunnel, bouncing off the wall of each of the tunnels and into all the ears she intended for it to reach. Her eyes never left his, as if daring him to make a move "But perhaps the regime doesn't understand the meaning of that word. After all, it was one of your own that brought your guiders and raisers straight into our waiting paws. All it took was a few sweet words and we had out captives. You call it cowardice, but it is simply strategy to ensure the safety of our own" She took a step closer to Mars
"You had our Priestess, the center of our world. In SunClan our Priestess is not just our leader, but our healer, our battle commander. Foxstar represent the will of our God, and there is nothing SunClan wouldn't do to get her back. So yes, we captured those that would weigh on your conscious, to make you think twice before mistreating our cats in your care. Yet while the cats that we captured have been treated respectfully, you have turned Foxstar into this" a threatening growl rose in her throat, as she took another step forward to the commander
"Do you understand how easily I could have done the same or worse to your guiders and raisers? How easy it would have been to allow the Janus to have their way with them? My Clan has been calling for their heads day and night, saying the death and torture is the price regime should pay for their crimes. Yet, those that I captured have only been treated with mercy and grace. For even though I agree the Regime has done terrible things, its not the fault of those we hold captive. They are simple cats caught up in our drama, they have families of their own. They had mothers, and brothers, and sisters awaiting their return. They have been well fed, their wounds treated, and sheltered from the hate my clan rightful has for them" The mask of courtesy she wore began melting away, revealing the pure fury that lied beneath "You accuse us of separating mothers and their children, but what you have done here is far worse. You have taken away an entire clan's mother, tortured her, and returned us something out of a nightmare. Those kits she carries... what does their future hold now? You to have denied a litter of kit's of their mother's love"
She took another step forward "I'm taking her and Nightshadeintuition back to SunClan" it wasn't a question, but a statement "Your guiders and raisers have already been released, even if you have to wrapped up here to recognize their return. Go ahead, confirm it with your own eyes. I'm sure they have been discovered and escorted back into the safety of your tunnels by now. All but one that is" she paused, a little smile tugged at the edge of her lips "So sure stand here barring my exit, your daughter is eagerly awaiting our return. Should I not return with Foxstar and Nightshadintuition before the sun dips below the horizon, The Janus will begin.I would rather not see her hurt. I have found her to be quite... charming"
Burningstar nodded, "This stopped being a quarrel between SunClan and the REgime when you threatened future innocent kits. They have no control of who their parents are." She said. "Once Foxstar was found to be pregnant she should have either been released or not been left to degrade to this." She said.
"I do wish to see you both come to terms and peace, but that will take discussions upon discussions, for now I implore you for the health of the imprisoned cats and the future kits, you release your prisoners. For the love of StarClan, the Sun God and whatever the Regime's God is called (I'm sorry I don't know), what even is the point of this anymore? You both have prisoners now, and one is clearly unwell, and another is suffering too. Just let this end,"

It wasn't Mars who reacted to Littlebird's words first. Nor even Nightshadeintuition, who did look on the edge of just strangling the Promsed himself. In fact, it wasn't even Shule.
Kaisra stepped forward. The former SunClan apprentice known as Arcanepaw stepped in between her family and the clan she once knew. She was a fun loving cat, all chaos and fun and lightheartedness. There was exactly one thing that could set her off, and that was harming her family. Jasmine was family.
Her height towered over the Promised, thick fur ruffling with her movement, auburn brown waves that laced up her legs burning like fire as darkened Egyptian blue eyes locked onto Littlebird. "I do not care for this war." She began, her voice low and dangerous. "It was fun to fight for a while, fun to talk with my brother Dusky and know that even if our homes were different, that we could be family, we could trust each other even if the powers that oversaw us could not. The Sentinel ignored Burningstar's voice, simply focusing on the she-cat before her, the one who held the safety of a single cat in her paws. Save for that bit about pregnancy. Burningstar was normally a patient cat. Normally she wanted to strive to be understanding more, and take into consideration others sides.
But right at this moment she was hearing nothing but more fighting, more threats being thrown around and her kits were wailing on her organs and her patience reached it's limit.
"Enough!" She snapped. "You of SunClan and you of the Regime have much to air and work through. But the time is not now to do so, neither of you can properly negotiate and work towards peace while you both have claws around each other's cats throats in the name of trying to out threaten each other. Battles are one thing, prisoners is another. RElease your prisoners, separate and let us do this discussion again when we don't have innocent lives on the line! Otherwise we're just going to go back and forth, and I swear even if the kits are wailing on my insides I will smack every single one of you who refuses to release their groups prisoner upside the head!"

"THANK THE SUN FOR SOMEONE SANE." Nightshadeintution practically screamed the words as he turned, literally tackling Burningstar in a hug. "Please let me help hit them. All of them. They left me here with Foxstar and I don't think I deserved that."
Burningstar tensed, ears flattening at first when Nightshadeintuition rushed over to hug her, head jerking towards him in surprise. Then she relaxed as his words registered, and her fur laid flat.
"Yes, I would appreciate the assistance. And no, no you did not." She patted Nightshadeintuition gently and gave Mars and the other regime cats a look that said 'Look what you've done! You've turned this cat into a wreck! You should be ashamed of yourselves!'

It occurred to him that it probably wasn't nice to tackle his new bestest friend in the world. Clearing his throat as to get back some semblance of dignity, the tom stepped back, helping the very pregnant she-cat up all the while beaming at her like a maniac. Maybe Foxstar wasn't the only one to go insane in all this time...
Larkwing shot up from his sitting position, ready to attack Nightshadeintuition but relaxed when he realized Burningstar wasn't being harmed. All of this was making him severely uncomfortable and on edge. He hoped Burningstar could keep them from killing each other. Larkwing really didnt want to throw himself in the middle after what Renegade Regime has done for them.
Burningstar rested her tail gently on him. "Don't worry, whatever happens I'll make sure you get out of here and are treated for whatever ailments you've developed. Though your assistance will be most certainly appreciated if I need to resort to smacking some mousebrains." She assured him.
