Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. Jetclaw hadn't been able to find Twilightbell in camp so she hurried to the Janus camp where she'd been last seen. She was haring across SunClan's territory when a scent hit her nose, strange, foreign, along with SunClan scent and a very unwelcome scent of Leatherfern.
Eyes narrowing she slowed her pace and turned her head towards the source. She debated continuing for Twilightbell but decided she'd be better off dealing with Leatherfern first. If he thought he could bother Littlebird during her kitting like this again. He had another thing coming!
She marched in that direction tail held high, fur puffed out and eyes narrowed claws unsheathed ready to rip him to shreds the moment she saw him. Up ahead was a slight clearing and as Jetclaw turned a rock she froze.
In the center of the clearing on the edge of their territory was a monster, it's back end open revealing it's interior and on the ground beside it two cages stacked on top of each other. One held Leatherfern and the other a sunclan cat, Lovesmitten his cage on top of Leatherfern's.
Alarm flooded through Jetclaw she quickly looked around, no sign of Twolegs at this moment, but their scent was strong they couldn't be far off. She hurried up to the cages.
"Lovesmitten! What happened?" She ignored Leatherfern for the moment. AS far as she was concerned he deserved this, barging onto SunClan territory again the twolegs could have him, she needed to help Lovesmitten.

Lovesmitten couldn't hide the relief that washed over him, seeing Jetclan approach. "You'll never believe it. I was just out hunting, and I missed a mouse by a hair. I took off chasing it through the underbrush, and the next thing I knew I heard a loud crash and I was stuck in this... this thing" He growled, claws to digging into the cruel metal that was biting into the pads of his paws. "I have tried everything to get out of here, and nothing is working. Then the twolegs showed up, and carried me in the cage here" he looked down at Leatherfern, a cat that all of SunClan knew all to way "and it looks like Im not the only one they managed to caputure"

"Nice to see you too Jetclaw." Leatherfern meowed with a grumpy edge to his voice. He was irritated and his fur was on end despite his blank expression. He could feel Littlebirds kitting as it raked through his belly muscles. He needed to be there. Not here. In this metallic den of misery. His tail tip twitched. The only indication of the discomfort and pain he felt.
Jetclaw gritted her teeth she strained to try and get a good look at the cage, but she was too short. Grimacing she dropped down to all fours. "Fox dung, I'm struggling to reach." She muttered. She consider Lovesmitten's cage and then considered Leatherfern's. They were similar, so maybe if she figured out how to open Leatherfern's real quick she could finagle a way to open Lovesmitten's...
She inspected Leatherfern's cage and her eyes fell upon the latch. She reached out a paw and nudged it, it seemed to be what was holding the door closed. IF she could paw at it a bit she might be able to get it open.
With this in mind she tried to stand on her back legs once more, straining trying to reach the latch on Lovesmitten's cage. "Come on, come on." She ground out straining to get to the latch, but it was to no avail. She couldn't reach. And just jumping up to it wouldn't work.
