Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Emile watched the drizzle from the ledge of an abandoned building. It was peaceful, watching the rain. It hasn't stormed in a while. Perhaps there will be thunder? She had always loved thunder. There was something about the deep rumbles that fascinated her. The lightning that accompanied it was also beautiful. She hoped it would storm. She would be just as content, she supposed, if it didn't, though. As long as it stayed drizzling, she would enjoy herself.
"Get down from there, you're going to get wet," grumbled a tom who sat in the relative safety of the building, disturbing the serenity that she had found in watching the rain and thinking. Rainy days were good thinking days. She let out a huff, otherwise ignoring him. What would a little bit of water do to hurt her? And, anyways, how had he even found her?
"Bug off," she ordered, keeping her back towards Macnamara. "I'm quite capable of sitting here myself, hmm?"
The tom let out a low growl. He was not keen on her insistence of defying his suggestions. He had never been. "What are you even doing up there?" he then asked, raising his voice slightly as the intensity of the rain increased.
"Wouldn't you like to know."
The duo was in midst of their bickering - something they did quite often despite their relative closeness - when another cat rushed, seemingly to take solace from the rain.
Cryptid had ways despised the rain, ever since he was young. It was cold, it made his fur stick to his body and made him ugly, and gave everything a weird damp smell that he couldn't stand. If he cared more for self-introspection, he would say that it also reminded him of that one time he'd been abandoned in the rain as a child, but he didn't care for self-introspection, and as such he didn't think that factored much into his hatred of the rain.
Two cats were bickering amongst themselves as he dashed inside the building. He vaguely recognised them as former members of the new heda's gang - newbies, just like him. Probably safe to interrupt their day, and if it wasn't, at least he would be saved from the rain. "Insanity," he muttered, shivering slightly as he padded inside to sit by the tom. "Sheer insanity."
Macnamara immediately was on edge, hearing the tom come in. He wasn't familiar with the characters of the group yet. He was no socialite. He preferred to be on his own, well sort of. he really preferred to be in the constant company of his sister. However, if that wasn't something he could do, if Emile was out doing whatever it was she did, he would suffice being completely alone. He let out a low growl. "Who's there?" he asked lowly, before being interrupted by Emile.
She lept from her perch, padding right up to the tom. She could hear her brother hiss at her to get back, but she ignored him. This was how things often were between the two. Mac would listen to Emile in her plans, and when he'd try to warn her, she would casually ignore him. "It's incredible out there, isn't it?" she asked with a purr. "Well, maybe not so incredible to walk through. How long were you out there?"
Like, five seconds. "Five hours," Cryptid answered. Would they buy that? Probably not. "Minutes," he amended. "I'm Cryptid, by the way. Only been a combatant here slightly longer than you two, if that's something that would reassure you." He looked between the two of them, unsure of how to proceed. The girl looked chill, but the dude looked kind of stressed out by his presence. "And you two are..." Either related or mates, and I'm not going to be the one to ask.
