Peachblossom flicked her tail, the rest of her body shivering in a half shake to follow, ridding her dark calico pelt of the white flecks of ice. She purred as her kits tussled ahead of her on the trail. Dappledpaw batting at her siblings ears in a mock fight. This was life. This was what she loved.

Immediately following Peachblossom's actions, Snowhowl leaned over and started licking his mate's head in a rather pitiful attempt to warm her up, but maybe it was better to let him think that he was actually helping. He sparred a glance at their kits, the start of a purr rumbling in his chest. "Never did I actually think I would have a family like this," he confessed, though his words were so soft that it left anyone who heard wondering if he actually meant to be overheard. Then, in a louder voice between his licks, he addressed Dappledpaw. "You've got this!"

Peachblossom purred at Snowhowl's gentle tentative touch. "Careful, if you blink they might disappear." she teased giving his shoulder an affectionate nudge with her forehead as she watched their kits roll across the patches of snow. She liked to organize family time. It seemed with the kits now apprentices and she herself having moved out of the nursery there was too much to do in the day. But a patrol or hunting trip just made up of the four of them could do the trick.
Dappledpaw blinked her eyes glowing at the praise. She took a few light blows and landed a few before she stopped and watched a mouse scurry across the path before them.
Freckledpaw was busy batting away at her sister, Dappledpaw, her eyes narrowed and focused as she calculated each hit. She was the more strategic of the two; always planning each step in her head and never doing anything spontaneous. She was a bit pretentious, which made other cats rear away from her, but everybody knew how loyal she was to WinterClan; it was her home, and it will be her final resting place.
Upon noticing that her twin was distracted by a mouse, Freckledpaw grinned and slipped down to where her belly was brushing against the earth, her claws unsheathing as they dug into the soft soil. With a mighty yowl escaping her jaws, she used her claws to launch herself forward and she dove right into Dappledpaw. She pushed her paws down against the other's side and steadily took her to the ground, her claws lightly digging into her pelt; not enough to pierce, but enough to pinch. As she successfully pinned her sister, she let out a purr, dipping her head down and rasping her tongue over Dappledpaw's ears. "I gotcha, sis," Freckledpaw meowed.
At Peachblossom's touch, Snowhowl threw an arm over her and nudged their faces together, his purr now fully grown. "Then I won't blink. Ever." His words sounded like a declaration, and he went on to make a point by not blinking. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Freckledpaw pin her sister, and he let out a small laugh. "Thata girl!"

Dappledpaw squeaked as Freckledpaw tackled her. "Hey no fair! I was distracted by that mouse!" she half giggled half hissed as she affectionately batted with sheathed claws at her sisters belly. :Uhg you are as heavy as a fat snow rabbit." she groaned.
Peachblossom purred against her mates cheek. "If we arent careful those two will be pinning us in a sparing match here real soon." she joked affectionately watching her kits play like young warriors.
This time, it was an actual laugh that escaped Snowhowl. He motioned to their kits, neither of which were paying attention to them. "You really think they'll want to look at us when we're being affectionate with each other? Don't they normally think that's gross?" As if proving his point, he leaned in and licked Peachblossom's ear.

"Ick." Dappledpaw wrinkled her nose as Snowhowl licked Peachblossoms ear. It was one thing to share tongues but a completely different thing when it was her parents. Despite this she padded towards her parents knocking her sister off of her with a giggle.
If it was possible, Snowhowl only cuddled closer to his mate as Dappledpaw approached. Still, he gave his daughter a smile, raising an eyebrow. "Yes?" he asked, drawing out the word. He glanced at Peachblossom, "I certainly hope you don't know our kits better than I do."
"I think I can take you on already, ma," Freckledpaw grinned, the she-cat coming to stand beside her mother. Freckledpaw was born with Snowhowl's height, having long legs, yet was blessed with her mother's physique; an hourglass. She was basically the long-legged version of Peachblossom, despite the black that marked her pelt.
A small frown formed on Snowhowl's face, and he muttered, "One point for you," before standing up. Stretching out his tired limbs, he turned to Dappledpaw. "I guess that means I'm yours to entertain now."

"Pffft." Dappledpaw sputtered. She was much smaller than Freckledpaw but she had speed and agility on her side. Although the thought of taking on such a massive cat as her father wasnt on her bucket list. "Uh maybe you keep your eyes closed the whole time." she insisted.
Peachblossom gave a meow of amusement. "Oh Freckledpaw I am sure you very well could." she reached out with a delicate forepaw and ruffled her daughters earfur.
That got a grin out of him. "What? Don't have the confidence to beat your dear ol' pa? Aren't I just an old man?" Yet, he was lumbering over his daughter, his muscles and scars both prominent. Old and weak were not words that were often associated with the warrior.
