Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The older cats were all busy finishing up the move into the caverns beside the big hole in the ground filled with water.
Many cats were happy as the caverns provided complete shelter from the sunlight, there would be no disturbances during the daylight hours.
With the moving efforts meaning the apprentices had to spend most of their days helping set up dens and hunting more than anything else, Celestialpaw found herself bored to tears. And looking for something far more exciting.
So she passed on a message to all apprentices and even a few recently made warrriors that if they wanted some adventure now was the time. Soaringbird had discovered a new hot spring, and the earthquake had opened up this cave system. What if there was some cool secret to be found in the old bear cave?
She'd told all the appentices who thought they were tough enough to meet her in the clearing above camp and beside the cenote at dawn. After a quick check to make sure no cats were watching she slipped out of the apprentices den and made her way to the cenote, before then climbing her way to the surface using the winding path, moving quickly as she could be easily spotted on the path that ran around the walls of the cenote.
Specklepaw hadn't come back to camp at all that night. After he was done hunting he gave his prey to Tenaciouspaw to take home (the coward didn't want to come to the meeting with him) and headed up to the meeting place to wait. There was no way he'd let anyone leave him out of this, he wanted to be seen as courageous enough to come with, and that meant he had to act like this was all no big deal. He leaned against tree while he waited for the others to arrive, grey tail flicking to pass the time.
Celestialpaw was waiting at the meeting place and she turned when Specklepaw arrived, tail lifting in excitement at the arrival of another before her tail drooped a bit.
"Specklepaw, I'm glad to see you've decided to come." She said, stiffly, trying not to give away her distaste for him. He was far from the most impressive of apprentices, but she supposed it was the thought that counted. "We'll wait a little longer to see if anyone else comes."
She really hoped someone else would, otherwise this was going to be a long day.
