The large black she-cat let out a yawn as the morning light filtered into camp. Although she wasn't deputy anymore, Tuskblood still took on the difficult patrols such as late nights and early mornings. She enjoyed being out while the sun was in hiding. It was too dang hot out otherwise. She let out a huff and began to groom the twigs out of her thick coat. It was odd. For the first time in a long time, she felt relaxed. She owed no one anything. It was a good feeling.
Darkkit came stumbling out of the medicine cat den, her paw still healing from her unfortunate - yet fortunate - fall that had originally brought her to WaterClan. The dark, almost black tabby she-kit scanned over the area, pale amber eyes blinking slowly as she took in her surroundings. Finding the form of an odd-looking cat with black fur and teeth protruding from her mouth, she decided that this interesting specimen would be her friend for the day. Darkkit padded up to the feline, coming to sit against her haunches as she cocked her head to the side. "Hello."

Tuskblood jumped in shock as the kitten approached her. Usually they were too afraid to come up to her so willingly. She peered down at the little she-cat through curious, narrowed eyes. Ah, it was that one. She remembered the poor scrap being brought to Waterclan looking tattered and worn. It was good to see the spark back in her eyes. "Er, hello, Darkkit? That was it, right, bold one?" She brushed her tail towards the kitten's paw. "Any better?"
Darkkit tilted her head to the other side as she studied the much older feline. Her fangs were definitely incredible, to say in the least, and Darkkit wondered what damage she could do if someone truly pissed her off. She noticed as Tuskblood's eyes narrowed, and Darkkit couldn't help but to let out a soft giggle. "Yes, I'm Darkkit. Wouldn't really say bold, but thank you for the compliment." She dipped her head, her words sliding off of her tongue smoothly. Unlike other kits, Darkkit was seasoned for her age; maybe it was because she had lived on her own for the past few moons. She flinched lightly as Tuskblood's tail barely came in contact with her paw, but she brushed it off with a smirk. "Getting better by the hour, I should be able to join the other kits soon."

"You must be some kind of brave to just up and talk to me." The beastly she-cat responded with an impressed smirk. Her spirit was mature and seemed to radiate strength, whether she knew it or not. Tuskblood was good at noticing these traits in the young cats. She had been trained in the strongholds to find that strength that gets your blood pumping. Darkkit had promise, for sure. "That's good. Have you made any friends yet?" She wasn't good at holding a normal conversation. It ended coming out a little awkward sometimes.
Darkkit lowered her head as Tuskblood complimented her further. She became bashful, and felt unworthy of her praise. "I..." When she mentioned friends, Darkkit became quiet. She looked away and allowed a sigh to drift from her lips. She wasn't really the friend-making type of person; she was the opposite of out-going. She was an introvert. "I don't... friends? I..."
