The walls. They were getting closer.
Calamityshrine let out a gasp of terror and launched himself towards the opening of the cave. His eyes had no choice but to blink in both surprise and confusion as sunlight poured into his pupils. He took a few deep breaths, attempting to calm down, before shaking himself as if to fling off the terror that still clung to his jet black coat. "That was not a fun time." He sighed as he regained his composure and scanned the camp to see if anyone noticed. As per usual, they didn't. The reality was both reassuring and depressing. He was easily forgotten, never quite noticed, by many. Waterclan is different, though. They love me. They accept me. They see me. Those were his reassuring thoughts. He repeated them to himself often when the dark voices began filling his mind. He couldn't fall prey to the darkness.
With a small, proud smile, he stepped away from the cave and began mingling with the camp.
