Lilacdream lay in her nest engulfed in a deep sleep, her body shaking as light whines escaped her mouth. Many nights the she-cat suffered as her dreams twisted into horror filled nightmares, each different but all involving her now deceased father. Her past returning to haunt her, though much worse than before, she couldn't escape it.
Boneash grunted, blinking open a golden eye and glaring at Lilacdream who was sleeping in the nest beside him. He pushed himself sleepily to his paws, now wide awake and annoyed. He looked down at the she-cat and then jabbed her in the side, hard enough to wake but soft enough to not hurt, making sure that she would not wake the rest of the warriors that were sleeping around them.

Lilacdreams eyes flew open as the tom poked his paw into her side, confused and still in the haze of her dream she looked at him with a frown. Had she been moving in her sleep again? This wasn't the first time she had disturbed some cats sleep, she had even taken to sleeping outside of the den from time to time to be sure her denmates didn't have to risk being woken up by her noise and trashing. "I'm sorry Boneash." She knew why he had woken her, getting to her paws she shook her creamy pelt lightly and dipped her head to him.
Despite his normally harsh demeanor, Boneash's face softened. "It's alright." He knew that she couldn't help what dreams she had while she was sleeping. Still, she couldn't wake up the entire den, because there would be some that would not be as understanding. The russet tom stood, stretching his lean, muscular body, before stepping over the form of his brother, Blacksmoke, and heading out into the cool night. Autumn was promising to come in the nearing moons and he was excited for it.

Embarrassed Lilacdream followed the tom out of the den, she knew she would not be able to sleep now and quite honestly she didn't want to, afraid she would be plunged back into the darkness of her nightmare. "I really am sorry I woke you, I should have slept out here like I normally do." Her voice was low as the words formed, speaking carefully so she would not wake anyone as she finally made it out of the warriors den.
