Tallflower sat quietly under the night sky gazing up at the moon above, its glowing light strong. Her kits now almost apprenticed she was finding she was not needed as much in the nursery, she had taken to strolling through the crisp nights in search of something to fill the growing void in her heart. "Such a beautiful night." Her voice was a soft murmur, carried through the air with the gentle breeze that flowed around her. Lonlieness began to creep through her as silence settled before her, and she let out a whisper of a sigh, her heart aching for something more.

"That it is" came a gruff grumble from behind her. Bloodtusk's voice had always been deep, but since becoming a warrior it had become down right dark. Everything he said, no matter how sweet and sincere, came out sounding more like a threat.
Most of the cats within the clan were frightened of him, not that he could blame them. He was massive, his face was squished in, the tips of his fangs stuck out due to his underbite, and his very name was meant to inspire fear. But those that knew him well, would understand that his outward appearance didn't match what lied within. Bloodtusk was a gentle giant, more likely to compliment you than to attack a stranger. He stayed away from violence, for it bothered him down to his very core.

Tallflower smiled and let out a pure as a voice spoke out in agreement, turning her head to see the owner she nodded her eyes glittering. "I'm glad you agree Bloodtusk." Her voice was soft, that of a mothers. She turned back to the darkness that lay before her and gave her tail a welcoming flick for the tom to join her. Many feared the warrior based on his looks, but she had learned you that it was what lay within that mattered and thus far she had no reason to distrust him. "Whats brought you out tonight?" She questioned, scooting over a little in case he decided to sit.

He made his way over, vibrations being sent through the ground as he sat down beside of the she-cat "Burningstar..." he paused. Most of the clan were worried about her, for she hadn't yet returned from mediating between the regime and SunClan. Burningstar had adopted him and his siblings, and he couldn't help but feel like something was wrong
"I was going to go look for her..." he replied gruffly staring out into the darkness

Tallflower turned her gaze to the tom quickly, a flash of worry burning through her yellow eyes. "Alone? What if something happened to you?" She kept her eyes on Bloodtusk, pausing for a moment until an idea came to her. "If you are dead set on going, then I'm coming with you." Her voice was steady, and it was obvious she had made up her mind. She knew little about the tom, their paths having crossed before but not in any way that warranted much interaction but she would never be able to forgive herself if anything happened to him when she knew what he was planning.

He was about to ask who she was suggesting to go with him, when she offered up herself. "It's going to be dangerous... are you sure?" who knew where their leader had gone, and if it was enough to keep her way then it must be bad. He was willing to take that risk to save his mother, but why would she? Sure Burningstar was her leader, but why would she risk everything just to find answers.

"Of course I know it will be dangerous, but I can't sit by and let you walk into that danger alone." Her voice was steady as she got to her paws and turned to look at the tom. "I know I have no personal relation to Burningstar aside from her being my leader, but many of our clanmates do, like you. I want her back safely not for myself but for her family, if there is a chance to bring her home I'd be willing to risk anything to make it happen." Her yellow eyes were glowing with determination, she wouldn't sit by to see a family separated like this.

He nodded slowly, deep in thought about her words "very well then, I would be glad to have you accompany me" he rose to his paws, tilting his head slightly "We know that she went missing after going to a meeting with the pride at the regime, so that is the direction we should head. Perhaps someone knows something"

Tall flower gave the tom a smile and nodded. "Alright, let's get a move on." She turned toward their destination, looking over her shoulder as she waited for him to take the lead.

Bloodtusk lead the way, his red fur seeming to glimmer under the light of the moon. It was quiet out, the kind of night that normally he would have enjoyed. However with his mother's disapperance it was hard to appreciate the simple beauty that this night had to offer. "Have you ever met the regime caats before?" he asked curiously. He hadn't, but having only been made into a warrior recently, his interactions with other groups outside the pride was limited.

"Hmm, I dont believe I have, I've only heard of them from others." She followed behind the tom, stepping carefully so she didn't trip over any scattered debris on the ground.
