Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He had no other choice, he couldn't sit there watching this cat struggle for life when there was no hope for them. Blood trickled from the cat's mouth, screams were being ripped from it's mouth. due to the venom that coursed through their veins. The poor loner had been bitten by a venomous snake, as evident of the puncture marks on it's leg. The cat before him was in the final trows of life, a desperate attempt to live. He had seen it before, and the pain the cat was in would only get worse before death finally came for him. He would start hallucinating soon, but his body would become paralyzed and unable to move to act on his impulses.
If the cats had family here, he might have tried to manage the pain long enough for him to say good bye but since it was a loner there was little reason to put him through any more pain. He would have to do the merciful thing, and end it now before it got worse. He eased the cat into laying down , and whispered comforting words into the cats ear. At least this way he would pass before his mind was comprimised. He told the tom what was about to happen, but before he could react he allowed his claws to dig into the cat's throat. Bringing a quick end to what might have been a long, drawn out, painful death.. A single tear fell from his eyes, and onto the loners head as his blood soaked onto the thin medicine cat's paw
"Wouldn't death berries be a much more quicker death?" Came a feminine voice. A moment later a dark ginger she-cat approached from the tree line, muscles rippled under her firey pelt and her turquoise eyes blazed with blue fire. Flame had been staying off and on with Nightclan since she helped bring back Burningstar's kits. In return, Burningstar offered her an alliance in which Flame was taking advantage of. However, Burningstar didnt seem to mind. If she had, she would have chased her off from the beginning.
Flame's turquoise eyes flicked to the bloody body of a loner, not a flinch nor a hint of pity in her gaze. She had seen worse and death didn't sadden her. Everyone dies. It was the circle of life. No need to grieve over it. She waited for an answer from Turbulentsea, ignoring any confused gazes he may have shot at her.

THE CONFLICTED - NIGHTCLAN MEDICINE CAT
"Perhaps, but in the time it took to find them, this cat's suffering could have already ended" he cradled the limp head in his paws, gently lowering it to the ground. There was nothing more he could have done for this cat, but that didn't mean he didn't feel for it's death. He didn't know this cat, for all he knew they could have been a murderer and a theif. But did it matter? His duty was to heal without discrimination.
Raising up one paw, his claws emerged threateningly. Leaving the cat before him to worry about what he might do next. Without looking away, he lowered his claws into his own flesh of his other leg. His claws went deep and straight across, as he tried not to waver in his conviction. His own blood ran down his leg, mingling with that of the loner's.
"A reminder of my failure" he stated, turning away from the bloody scene.
