Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He had only just announced that Littlekit was to be his apprentice, but tonight they would confirm this with a trip to moonpool to meet with StarClan. He had recieved a dream from them that had helped push him to make a decision, but he had not yet shared it with her. Leaving his den, he walked over and placed a little bundle of traveling herbs at her paws "Here, eat this. Tonight we will have a long journey ahead of us"
Littlekit looked up at the medicine cat her deep blue eyes a little wide at the mention of a long trip, why would she be going with him when she was only a kit. "Am I in trouble?" She asked as she lowered her head to sniff at the herbs he placed at her paws, their mingled scents lighting a fire inside her. She couldn't place them all but a few of them stood out though she still didn't know what the bundle was for.
"Far from it Little one" he purred slightly, waiting for her to injest the herbs "I had a dream from StarClan, so tonight you and me shall go and visit them at moon pool to see if my hunch is correct. We can talk more along the way, but it is a conversation best done without ears that might be listening in. Burningstar already knows that I am taking you with me"
He had decided that it would just be the two of them on this trip. Now that his shoulder had healed he felt confident enough to make the journey on his own. It was a rather safe path to journey on, and no clans ever stood in his way
Littlekit lifted the bundle into her mouth and began to chew them, she trusted Turbulentsea and knew he wouldn't lie to her. After swallowing the last of the herbs she swiped a tongue over her lips and stood up with determination in her eyes. She didn't ask anything else, now aware of the cats that could be lingering within hearing range and nodded to the tom.
She had never been to the Moon pool, only heard bits and pieces about it from those who had. Why he was taking her still hadn't become clear in her mind though, she hoped only that she would be able to make it all the way there as she was still smaller than most of the others her age and she had never been out of camp for longer than a few moments.
"Now come along" he allowed his tail to tickle her shoulder as he began to lead the way out of camp where he could feel the eyes of their clan-mates following their departure. He knew the little kit would have many questions, and this journey would give her plenty of opportunities to ask them. He adjust the little lead bundle that he carried on his back for later, and off they went. Once they had put some distance between themselves and the camp, he couldn't help but gaze up at the stars.
The glimmering lights seemed to dance up above them, a constant reminder that StarClan was watching over them "The stars are beautiful tonight" he commented. It felt right to have Littlekit at his side, even though he had to walk at a slow pace so that she could keep up "Don't you think?"
Once they were out of camp and alone Littlekit began to relax as she padded along beside Turbulentsea, she knew he had to slow his pace to match hers but he didn't seem to mind. She looked up at the stars when he mentioned their beauty and smiled, she spent many a night searching the small dots for her mother who had passed not long ago.
"They are, I don't understand how some cats can't see what lays beyond them though, within them." Her voice was almost a whisper as she spoke, starlight glittering in her eyes as she kept them locked on the sky above, she saw so much more than just lights in the sky.
"Cats see what they want to see" he agreed. For such a young cat, she had already shown much wisdom. It was part of what had caught his attention in the first place, and it would serve her well in the coming moons if StarClan accepted her as his apprentice.
"What is it that you see what you look at the stars?" he allowed her time to answer, fo ne could learn a lot about someone else simply by listening and allowing them to take the lead in the conversation.

Little kit listened carefully and thought about the question, what did she see. She saw a lot of things when she gazed at the stars above, but some where more telling than others. "I see wisdom, and guidance, sometimes I feel it too... long forgotten, like a flash that can be easily missed if you blink to long." Truth flowed through her words, it was one of her many qualities others noticed, she didn't lie or she couldn't either way she spoke true to how she felt. "Sometimes I dont see anything, but the feeling that something is there is always present when I look up." She looked at Turbulentsea and smiled softly as she finished speaking.

He smiled lightly "I see it much in the same way. The stars above, a constant reminder that no matter what path you walk in life you are never alone. Our ancestors watch our every actions, hoping that one day when we pass we may be able to join them" he paused leaping up a paticularly high stone "Tonight you will get to meet with starclan if they allow it, so that you can begin your journey as a medicine cat. They have sent many dreams lately, and I feel it my bones, you are meant to follow in my footsteps"

Littlekits eyes grew wide as he spoke, her confusion toward this journey vanishing as the final pieces clicked together. "Medicine cat." She purred in a hushed tone, it was her dream, what she had been striving for. It filled her thoughts both in the waking word and in sleep and at last she was so close to reaching it. "I'll make you proud." She chirped, a smile curving the corners of her mouth. "Both you and StarClan." She added before scrabbling ungracefully up the rock after Turbulentsea.

Without even hearing her response, he could tell that she would be pleased by this revelation. She had been following him around asking for herbs since she was tiny, and it was hard not to see that she wanted to be a medicine cat. If his hunch was correct, starclan wanted her to be one to. He purred "I have no doubts about that, I just hope that I can be a good mentor to you"
He had never received any formal training, just gathering what he could from different individuals that all had pieces of the puzzle. They all had some knowledge, but not everything needed to searve as a medicine cat. He wanted it to be different for Littlepaw, to make her transition easier.

"You are a great medicine cat, and it is an honor to be able to learn from you. Turbulentsea, you've always put up with my annoying questions and its partly because of you that I fell even more in love with herbs." She looked up at the sky as she spoke, her words ringing with truth.
