[ I dont even know if this is for August or September so lets call is Augtember ]
The moon glimmered bright through the canopy of nearly bare branches. It seemed like less than a moon prior these very trees were green and bursting with life. Leatherstar weaved his way through the last bit of underbrush before breaking out into the open. His brown pelt pricked with the odd sense of vulnerability. Already he missed the snow and twisting tunnels and rings that made up his home back in WinterClan territory.
Despite his unease at leading his clan into their first gathering with him at their helm he raised his head and kept his broad shoulders rounded. He slowed his pace and WinterClan cats emerged from behind him.

WINTERCLAN Echodrop's severe face was a carved monument to her displeasure. She knew her mate had been infidelious. The shame she had to bear back at camp where everyone knew was almost too much. She had to pretend not to hear the whispers, see the sneers, as she sheltered her kits - the only good things in her life - from the controversy. Her beauty wasn't dissipated by the drama; it was made more acute and arresting. Walking shoulder-to-shoulder with her mate, the proud she-cat met the eye of any cat who dared, staring them down with cold impassivity. Here she would brook no insults, smile through no jabs. Tensions had been running too high, tempers too hot. If someone had the nerve to insult her at the gathering tonight, she would draw blood as their penatance.
FALLCLAN Cinderbreeze entered the clearing, stomach heavy with kits and a face full of joy. She was due any day but refused to let their leader go without her at his side. Her duty, while now partially to her mate and family, was still to the leader.
she was the first of her group. the others understood that in meetings like this, kerrigan would be the first one to enter, equal parts because of the heirarchal nature of the group, and because she liked to survey those who came before her before she let the monarchy disperse. her body moved through the undergrowth for a moment longer, before it broke into the clearing. brookclan had arrived. kerrigan, the flower-crowned leader, let her gaze slide to those who had gotten there before her. winterclan seemed to have the first entrance, something she was unsurprised about. after all, what new leader didn't jump at the bit for their first gathering?
tsar kerrigan flicked her tail, letting the members of brookclan know that it was okay to disperse from their ranks behind her. despite the troubles the group had faced recently, her orange cream head was still held high as she made her way to where the leaders always perched. her eyes shifted once more to the cats of non-important stature, before flicking her tail, waiting for another leader to oin her.

SunClan It wasn't long before SunClan entered into the gathering grounds. Littlebird had taken her place in SunClan's gathering formation as was her duty. The priestess promised couldn't help but have her eyes drawn towards Leatherstar and the she-cat at his side. She had heard he had moved on, and found a mate within his own clan... but that didn't make it any easier to see another cat at his side. Her heart began to thrum in her chest, as she tried to calm herself. She had been the one to end things between them, yet she hadn't expected him to move on so quickly. <I made the right choice> she reminded herself. <If he knew the truth it would have torn him and WinterClan apart...>

SUNCLAN
The tall frame of the SunClan Priestess strode in at the head of the Gathering, the presence of Littlebird at her flank as natural as the authoritative air that surrounded her now. Her body was painted in fire, the symbol of fire at her head, indicating her rank, and an eye, just behind her shoulder, to indicate her moon of birth. In the moonlight the vibrant colors shifted with her movement, dancing like midnight embers as she made her way past the slowly growing crowds. Hardly sparing a glance at the other clans themselves, she join Kerrigan at the usual place, gaze drifting for a moment over her own clan before her ivy gaze turned to the Tsar. "Kerrigan." She greeted simply, though the mere fact she offered any sort of acknowledgement that wasn't derogatory implied they were on good terms. Good enough that Foxstar deigned to be civil anyway, for now.

WINTERCLAN
Leatherstar could feel the tension in Echodrop's body beside him. Since entering the gathering place she had not left his side. Part of him pricked in frustration. He woudln't get a chance to speak to Doesymphany, or Littlebird if Echo insisted on being stuck to him like tree sap. Yet another part of him was comforted. Even after his many mistakes she was still his consistent companion. He cast a sideways glance towards Littlebird as she entered the clearing looking like the Priestess Promised that she was. He realized what was left of her heritage had been painted over.
Agavesilk spilled into the area after the rest of the WinterClan cats. Her pelt pricked as well with the sense of exposure. WinterClan had gone through so much lately. She was surprised they had even come.
SUNCLAN
Whitemagnolia blinked gray gold eyes as she wondered into the group at a respectful distance to the Priestess and the Priestess Promised. Her strangely bright white pelt gleaming like a ray directly from the moon as she found a spot on the outside of the bustling center of the gathering place to lounge and watch.
FALLCLAN
Cedarcloud weaved his way in and out of the chatting cats like a bee trying to escape a cobweb. He was nervous. He knew it was unwise for him to come. Comfreypetal had only recently given birth to their kits and he knew his place was back in camp at her side. The dark bracken tom sighed loudly.
A pair of clever hazel eyes surveyed the leaders who'd arrived before him. Emberstar walked with head and tail high, proud beyond words of all his Clan had achieved. Without a doubt, the small brown-and-ginger tomcat believed WaterClan to be strong.
Meanwhile, an even smaller she-cat continued behind him, her posture much less regal, though she tried to look as dignified as possible. This translated to a giddy trot and hazel eyes darting around, bright with anticipation. It was Fireflydream's first Gathering as a warrior, and the leader's daughter couldn't be more excited.

SummerClan
Graythorn looked around the gathering place not knowing what to expect. Being a very young medicine cat, this was his first gathering. He met several medicine cats at the half moon gathering two weeks ago so he looked around at the sea of faces to find anyone he might know.
Pantherpaw, Graythorn's sister, bounced around excitedly. This too was her first gathering and she was eager to meet new cats. Bonefang, her grandfather, kept an eye on her to make sure she stayed in line.
It was unsurprising that when Foxstar spoke to her, Kerrigan's head tilted slightly. The two felines were not on bad terms, nor were they on particularly good. They were opposites, but incredibly the same. They had been brought together several times before, but Kerrigan understood that perhaps the two leaders would not have crossed paths as often if there wasn't a part of each of their lives that had been thrown into orbit of a certain other cat. Still, Kerrigan viewed the flame-colored she-cat as one of the most respectable leaders that would pass before her. She was intelligent and powerful, two of the things that Kerrigan truly valued. Perhaps the fact that the other leader had a penchant for darkness did not harm Kerrigan's view of her, either.
"Foxstar," she greeted with a flick of her tail, her hazel eyes not quite trained on the other feline as she was still interested in looking around. "It seems like every time we cross paths you have more regalia, that or I am just unobservant. Either way, it suits you well." Kerrigan herself knew a thing or two about regalia - the flower crown she wore on her head was now adorned with fall flowers to denote the season change.
summer A white and grey tomcat glanced around with curiosity. This was most likely the last gathering before leaf-fall; therefore the last gathering in a while before cats mingled again. Naturaldisater didn't consider himself a good conversationalist to begin with. In all honesty, he would be perfectly happy if he didn't have to talk with anyone; especially from another Clan. brook Metaldragon seemed rather... unimpressed. But did the feminine tomcat ever look happy about anything? The silver tomcat found himself a decent spot, wanting to soak up whatever the Leaders have to say when it became time to share.
cynder padded over to her clanmate with a flick of her tail. she, too, shared a similar look on her face. however, despite this look, she made it a point to go to every single gathering. after all, every once in a while, they turned out to be worth her time. "this is a whole lot of hulabaloo for what will equate to a three minute meeting that discusses how well we are all doing because no leader is willing to admit struggle, huh, metaldragon?" she asked, although there was a hint of amusement in her eyes. maybe this time will be different?

WATERCLAN "It's my first Gathering as a warrior," chirped Fireflydream in response to Brenna, clearly thrilled. She'd just been promoted a quarter-moon or so before, and it was apparent by not only the calico's very small stature but also by her excited fidgeting and paw-shuffling.

Pantherpaw was thrilled when a cat from another clan spoke to her. "Yes! This is my first gathering," she meowed enthusiastically. "This is so exciting isn't it? Oh, by the way I'm Pantherpaw from SummerClan." She directed her comment to both Firedream and Brenna.
"well, congratulations to the both of you, then," he meowed with an easy smile. it was the kind of smile that set felines at ease around him, despite the fact that sometimes it was in his nature to be awkward and clumsy. he had developed such an easy smile young; it was a coping mechanism to navigate through the sometimes impractical political landscape of brookclan. felines who were native to the monarchy side of the group like he was were not traditionally prone to trusting others. his smile had developed as a way to try and ease the tension between cats around him, and it was often on his face, even when there was a heaviness in his heart. "it's nice to meet you, pantherpaw of summerclan," he then meowed directly to the apprentice. he then spoke again generally to both of them. "my name is brenna. i'm sure that gives some insight as to where i'm from," he paused for a laugh, even though he was unsure that the younger cats would understand his statement about the fact that he didn't have a warrior name, "but if it doesn't, i come from brookclan."

SUNCLAN
A faint chuckle escaped the fox-heart's lips at Kerrigan's comment, and the sound ended in a soft hum of agreement. "Indeed, and it took no insignificant amount of time either. I'd say your own adornment is fitting as well." It was more or less, a compliment. Even so, however, none of it was likely necessary. Both of them had a certain presence that would make them stand out in a crowd, no matter their outward appearances. Such accessories were simply a bonus, though not unwelcome.
WATERCLAN
A dusty orange feline bounced along after Emberstar, her gait not unlike that of Fireflydream's in it's almost childish delight, though Thunderstorm had long since earned her place among the clan's warriors. Not a moment after they'd entered the gathering place was the hazel eyed she-cat off towards SummerClan, ebony paws tip tapping excitedly along the ground as she headed for her uncle, Bonefang, a giddy smile on her face. It had been seasons since she'd lived in SummerClan, having spent a few of her young warrior moons there, but even so, she still felt at home within their ranks after all this time, though her loyalty was unwavering towards WaterClan.
BROOKCLAN
It was unsurprising, to say the least, that Springlockedgrave was keeping to herself. The Vrachi slunk over to the place of the medicine cats, keeping to the edge of everything and hoping to remain out of sight. Even among the medicine cats and her own clan she was an outcast, crazy, insane, paranoid. The rumors didn't slip past her. And, given how much the scarred golden feline fidgeted, her eyes darting every which way, body recoiling at the slightest sudden move, there was little to disprove that theory in this moment.

"Pleased to meet you, Brenna," Pantherpaw meowed as she dipped her head. She liked this tom's smile, it had a welcoming affect on her. She was intrigued by his manner and where he claimed to be from. "BrookClan, you say? I heard you BrookClan cats are different from most clans but I really don't understand how."
dayclan Glowstar's stride was off when she walked over and when she sat down she sat about three fox lengths away from Kerrigan and Foxstar. Usually the bubbly leader was already throwing herself at Foxstar and excitedly chatting with Kerrigan. Glowstar sniffled slightly wiping a paw against her nose before letting out a sneeze. She was sick, but not dying as indicated by her still well groomed pelt, but Glowstar felt otherwise. Her emerald green eyes moved to the two leaders she had settled close enough in proximity to, "Guys, I'm love sick. Without Deal I'm literally falling physically ill. If Deal doesn't come back into my life this could be fatal. Also I got this new medicine cat, she says that love sickness isn't a real disease, but I mean. Whatever. I miss him, I'm suddenly sick. Like it just adds up. Foxy, you're basically a medicine cat, you think it's because I'm missing Deal that I'm sick right now, right?"
Glowstar pawed at her nose again. Her auburn fur while smooth in some areas seemed to fluff up by each sneeze giving her a kitten kind of softness to her face. Her sleepy gaze was disarming, she was almost normal when she was sick... If she didn't open her mouth. But it was really just a simple cold that would likely go away in a few days. The likelihood of her calmness lasting was minimal.
Heatherpaw a red drizzled tabby with creamy icy fur strode into the gathering after Glowstar. Her glitzy ivory claws were out more for beauty than intimidation. Of course beauty and intimidation play hand in hand. Her cinnamon gaze swept across the gathering, eagerly trying to seek out someone to talk to.
winterclan Mistyveil walked with much more confidence this time. She trailed off from her leader to seat herself by the other medicine cats. Her unique half Russian blue and half peach fur was eye candy to any spectator. Before she was worried about the whole murdering her whole family thing may deter anyone from getting to know her. Or the fact that she was a medicine cat who was commonly a queen which was a big no no usually, but she felt she had found her place. Her kits would be old enough to become apprentices by next moon and one of them who she had made her medicine cat apprentice was able to come here tonight. Her apprentice was five moons, but it was a necessary trek for her daughter to see what a gathering was like and befriend other cats. Mistyveil sat down and scanned the area around her.
Barrenfrost towered over most cats, his snow leopard pelt gave him a princely appearance and his muscular build gave him a true warrior look. He was at Dyinglight's side, his claws sliding in and out and his gaze looked over at everyone as if they were mice he were choosing not to hunt. His blue gaze narrowed at anyone who moved towards the deputy and brightened at anyone from his own clan.

SunClan Littlebird found her place among the crowd, mostly keeping to herself. She managed to tear her eyes from Leatherstar, only to land upon Barrenfrost. A tom that had tormented her for most of her childhood, yet here they were in very different positions. She wasn't the same scared kit that he knew, she was now the priestess promised of SunClan, a position in which gave her more power that he had managed to obtain. Sure he still towered over her in size, but a small cat could cast a large shadow. She wasn't afraid of him anymore, but she couldn't help but wonder how many cats in WinterClan knew of her former relationship with Leatherstar.

Echodrop didn't miss her mate's glance towards Littlebird and was unable to hide the tightening of her lips in displeasure. So this was the kind of she-cat her mate found comfort in outside of their nest? Not much to the scrap of a cat, in her opinion. Overly gaudy, too. Clearly the SunClan cat thought poorly of herself if she felt the need to cover her entire mangy pelt with coloring. Eyes burning into her competition's pelt, she took comfort in the fact that Leatherstar had kits with her, had a family with her She allowed her icy gaze to wander over the rest of the cats in the gathering, unable to help but wonder if there was more than one she-cat her mate had grown fond of.
MoonClan
She was early, but she didn't much care. Etherealpaw had snuck ahead of MoonClan to scope out the gathering ahead of time. She knew SunClan would be there and wanted to ensure hostilities wouldn't arise if she could help it. Her clan already had the upper paw in that the gathering took place under the sacred light of a full moon, but she knew that wouldn't stop Foxstar from trying some underhanded tactic to turn the tables. The she-cat had once been quite shy and downtrodden, but during her apprentice training she'd grown more confident, and started to use her training to achieve the goals she set for herself - first and foremost to suspend and eventually dismantle the hostilities between her home clan and their rival, SunClan.
dayclan Glowstar's stride was off when she walked over and when she sat down she sat about three fox lengths away from Kerrigan and Foxstar. "He's been gone longer than you've been sick. So, no, not really." The Priestess pointed out, turning to face her friend with a vaguely curious tilt to her head. "Probably just a cold. Unless you think someone spiked your prey or something." Not that it was necessarily likely, but who knew? Especially considering that Foxstar would almost certainly poison her friend if it was beneficial. "If you're really down, why don't you come back with me after the gathering for a sleepover." Internally, the she-cat wanted to cringe at the suggestion of a 'sleepover' of all things, but really, that was what she was suggesting, wasn't it? Though Strikhendoniadalisay was lucky, as no other cat in the clans, let alone a leader, had the ability to just waltz into the center of SunClan without fear of being confronted and or killed as a result, much less be invited over.
