Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Okay, so I've thought about it and I just gotta enthuse and speculate about some of my favorite characters on Classic and I'd totally love to hear what kind of characters you all love or find memorable. But here's some that definitely stand out to me (SOME, I can't name them all, I mean look how long this got already! xD sorry if I didn't add yours. Though I'll leave an honorable mentions open to add more favorite characters as I go on)
Honorable Mentions:
Foxstar rped by Honeystorm- I think the best part about Foxstar is that it keeps me guessing on nature vs nurture. In her experience her heart was broken and she felt betrayed. But as she progresses it's not all about revenge against that one person that wronged her or even her clan. She just wants to manipulate and dominate because it just seems to be in her nature to want power and control. As much as I try to find a psychological reason for it I think a lot of who Foxstar is as a person is based on her nature. She's the classic example of the scorpion and the frog. It's in her nature to betray no matter who she's with or how much she changes and I love characters like that.
Burningstar rped by Jetclaw- I definitely love watching her growth as a character. I like that she started out uncertain. I like that the people she meets change her. I like that the people who meet her change. She's an impactful character that just feel real. She's not an exaggeration of evil or good, but like any person she can find herself leaning to either side depending on situations. I think she's just rped so realistically well and out of all Jetclaw's characters I think Burningstar captures the best of Jetclaw's ability to write. I always find myself excited to read her reply every time.
Tsar Kerrigan rped by aeonian- I'm a sucker for villains that look cute, but are tough. I'm just an utter sucker for these types of characters and I'm not sure if anyone else loves Kerrigan as much as I do because of that. But I just love how one moment she's proper and keeps up an elegant appearance and the next she can be raging and let go of that cute demeanor. She wears a mask and I find it almost too irresistible to not try to create situations where that mask slips at times (because even when she's mad I imagine her as being even cuter!)
Deal rped by Cleaver:D- Deal gets talked about a lot, but for a long time I never encountered him in a rp and when Cleaver and I arranged a rp I didn't expect him to be the person he was. I expected him to be suave and say all the right things. But he really isn't the typical chick magnet type guy. He's sincere and he's more like a puppy, he's not not a charmer, but I think he's more of a people pleaser. He likes making people smile, he likes it when people are happy, sometimes even if he's not happy. He's a nice guy who gets all the ladies instead of the classic bad boy and that's pretty rare. I find myself constantly cheering the guy on because of it.
Commander Fjord rped by Simply.Light- Most of my favorite characters are villains, but Fjord was a good good character. And what I mean was that he wasn't incredibly heroic, but he always did the right thing. He wasn't too out of the box like other characters are on this list, but he stood out. He didn't need to have an exotic look about him or have weird tendencies. He held himself together with interesting dialogue and his actions and behavior always said more about him ahead of time before he ever said a word. I don't think I've ever found myself observing more of what a cat does than what they say than Fjord.
Ryssa E'tani rped by xx.sapphire- Primal Instincts had a lot of leaders, but I think Ryssa will always stand out. For one she wasn't your classic villain who had a dark past or would come off as evil. She was terrifying in the way that a vicious teenage girl was except she had the violence and means to back up her appearance. She was beautiful, people didn't need to fear her because she was charming and it wasn't like, "She's charming everyone, so make your cats like her." She was rped in such a way that you just admired her naturally. Her murders weren't just a statement, they were a show. I loved how she could take control with just a smile, but had the absolute army and power to take anyone who stood in her way down. She's the kind of villain you hate, but root for. I don't think I've seen another villain quite like her.
Goldenstar rped by Racing_Girl- Goldenstar was a good "Mad King" kind of a character. He was incredibly predictable before it, but Racing had this genuinely great way of writing him where it didn't feel super villain, but he wasn't a good person either. Everything bad he did was almost all out of an insecurity he had. When he would do something villainous it wasn't anything too different, but just who he was as a person made whatever he did feel new and pronounced. I think he was incredibly well written and I also enjoyed seeing him appear in situations that were a bit awkward for his character type to be in, but he still reacted perfectly in character no matter what scenarios were thrown at him. Really well rounded, I loved him.
Curandera Izkra rped by Jadekit, Chaman Pebble rped by Mjoy3000, Peachblush rped by biyuu- So I have to group these three because I love them all for the same reason. I like them so much because they're both good people and not just good, they're well liked, they have a major position in their respective homes. But they're incredibly altruistic, they don't help people because it benefits them and they would be good people even if no one's looking. They help people who are never going to pay them back and they're not extreme optimists they just believe in doing what's right. Each of them fell in love with someone who was less than nice and more than that, were powerful and dangerous figures and decided that they were a worthy person to try and help. There's such a kindness about that and I honestly feel all warm and mushy inside thinking about it xD
Glowstar played by Faith- (and not just cause you said you liked Burning XP). Arguably what really helped me develop Burningstar, was interacting with Glowstar. Glowstar's words about experiencing and letting other cats into her life was huge for Burningstar back when she was still just regular warrior Burningsky. I remember though even before we had that first thread of them interacting, we had that nightclan plot thread where NightClan sent a patrol over to try and form an alliance with DayClan and I went 'ooo this Glowstar is fascinating, I want to interact with this cat more!'. I love looking through threads that have Glowstar, I remember there was a WinterClan thread with Glowstar and she was becoming a prisoner and she was like 'So do I just jump in and break all my legs?', she just is the best in every thread. Battle with Primal Instinct and WinterClan 'If you're going to kill my cats can you get on with it already?'. I enjoy whenever I spot a thread with her in it and I take a moment to read through it. And I love having my cats interact with her.
But I do have some honorable mentions:
Foxstar played by Honeystorm - I remember looking at Foxstar's bio and being wowed by the story behind her. I also love how fearsome and brutal she is. Reading threads where she actually takes out some cats is brutal and terrifying. She just exudes power and she's also very cunning. I can't say enough to do her justice but I love the presence she adds as leader of SunClan. Both in the forest clans, and as leader of the terrifying cult XP
Tsar Kerrigan played by Aeonian - Kerrigan is a fascinating character to me. Like Glowstar I also find myself enjoying threads I read about her, and what she's up to in BrookClan or making alliances with Vera. She's a cat wearing a flower crown, but despite that she's the cat who overthrew the crown of BrookClan, taking over and claiming the throne as her own. Able and willing to rule her clan with an iron paw when needed, but also with an eye for diplomacy and cunning when it comes for it.
Vera E'tani played by xx.sapphire - I like Vera because she's a damn good villainess. But she also has this tight bond to her family. She loves her siblings and her children. Even if she raises them to be vicious and mighty hunters serving the bloodlust of the league and her empire. She has this perfect balance of being terrifying and intimidating, but she values her family. So it's the best of both world, a great villain character to lead the most fearsome group (and oh boy did she make Primal Instincts Fearsome), while also still putting her family over all.
Leatherstar played by Primordialhaze - This is another cat who I love the backstory behind and the rping I get to have Crimsonrose engage with him in. He's a ladies man, engaging in far too many flings to count. Named deputy despite just being an apprentice, and finding an ally in Crimson a PI hunter who would train him up. But he in turn also taught Crimsonrose that there was more to fight for. He has a great deal of potential, and I love seeing the drama of his flings, as well as his growth into being a leader.
(like faith I'll probably add more over time but there's a lot of cats I love on classic XP)

I'm glad that you like Goldenstar He was one of my favorites to rp
Singedwolf (rped by cleaver:D) - singedwolf is one of my favorite characters to rp with. I feel like he gives a good balance to my character Littlebird. He is just so different from all the other characters that I rp with. He rough on the outside, and it seems like only my character sees the goodness in him. I'm excited to see him develop as Littlebird continues to grow in a leader in her own right.
Glowstar (rped by ifaith) - Really, I never know what to expect when rping with Glowstar. At first she really got under my skin(but at the time I was rping Goldenstar, and he was well.. uhm yeah). I guess I just love how unpredictable she is. It keeps me on my toes.
Rowanstar (rped by hinata-kun) - I loved Rowanstar's story. If you are not familiar with it, I suggest going back and reading it.
