Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Mini/plot Explanation: With Foxstar still captured by the Renegade Regime, leadership of SunClan has fallen upon Littlebird. With everything on her shoulders, the last thing she needed was everyone worrying about her health. However, it was recently revealed that she was pregnant thanks to her ex mate coming into SunClan's camp and announcing it to the watching crowd. Normally every pregnancy would have been a joyous occasion, but the last time Littlebird gave birth she almost lost her life. The clan is naturally worried that their only available leader might loose her life, and leave SunClan in chaos. Well the day they have all feared is finally here. This thread is for the clan to gossip and talk, while waiting on news of Littlebird's kitting that will take place in the privacy of her own den. Only those that are invited will be allowed into the privacy of her den, but you can respond to any loud sounds that might make it out of the den and talk among all the waiting clan members. Remember that in SunClan families, when a queen gives birth, members of the clan shower both the new mother and her children in gifts, whether they be the kits' zodiac symbol, fresh prey, beautiful flowers, or other trinkets and toys. Your character could still be searching for the perfect gift. Since Littlebird is the Priestess Promised, it is expected that every member of the clan bring some sort of present after the kitting is finished out of respect.
Littlebird's head shot upwards as a sharp pain started in her side, she gazed down at her swollen tummy a little smile tugging at the edge of her lips. Soft morning light was filtering into the priestess' den, as the sun was just begining to rise. She had slept longer than planned, but after a restless night it wasn't all that surprising. A light purr rumbled in her throat despite the pain, assuming that it was just a well placed kick from one of kits inside her. Last time she had barely been able to feel her children moving , but with this pregnancy she had been awoken many a nights as the squirmed and stretched their legs. Most she-cat's found the sensation annoying, but it only brought her joy. It meant they were still alive and well. After almost dying trying to bring her last litter into the world, and having all but two pass away,
It was only after the second time that a painful ripple made it's way across her side that it became apparent that her children would soon be making their way into this world. She was in early labor, but would still have a little while before the kits were ready to be born. She lowered her nose and nuzzled it against skipstep's neck gently to awaken him "Skipstep" she called his name softly. She gave him a few moments to awaken then licked his cheek "I hope your ready" she gave a little pause, trying to disguise the grin on her face "your about to be a father"
While Skipstep had helped her raise her last litter, this was his first time having kits of his own. She watched his reaction carefully, but then quickly added not wanting him to worry "It's still early on, so don't worry just yet. You should go get Mountainsound, JetClaw, and Twilightbell, but try not to alert the rest of the clan just yet. They are just going to worry and it will be a while before the kits start arriving"
The burned tomcat kept his gaze forward and ears attentive as morning slowly dawned. Another night and come and gone without incident, and the little bird had lived to see another sunrise; that was a good, but as he stiffly sat up, he was a little sorry too. It would be easier if she would die and he could be on his own again, away from this forsaken clan and their beloved flames, but she refused to perish quietly and he would not allow any cat to harm her.
From his place standing guard outside the den Singedwolf’s ear twitched back to heat her speaking to her mate and the intimate twitched his whiskers before tuning them out. So they had both survived— a pity, really, it had been too long since a good old-fashioned mate murder. Well, there was still time.
Mountainsound, for her part, was lounging next to the river within camp. She had been staying extra close to camp these recent days, knowing that Littlebird's kitting was close at hand. The last one had gone terribly, and though there were no signs, from the Sun God or otherwise, that this kitting would be anything but normal, one could never be too cautious. There had been one leader she recalled, from the very clan Condorstrike came from, who lost at least one of their lives each kitting, and lost four of them the last time she'd given birth.

Echowish was quickly returning from her small journey near the border of Sunclan carrying a bundle of what looked like purple flowers in her jaws. The young cat seemed proud, her eyes filled with happiness and excitement for the approaching arrival of Littlebird's new litter. 'I'll make sure to teach them all I know, that way they can be the best little members SunClan has ever had! I hope this keeps them all happy and calm..." The little she-cat's bundle was none other then lavender, freshly picked and brightly colored perfect for a nursing mother's nesting environment. She knew it was fairly early to tell when the kits would arrive exactly, but she knew at the very least having an early gift could still be appreciated. The flower's scent filled Echowish's nostrils with their calming and soothing scent, leaving her hoping Littlebird would scent them and feel the same way especially during her kitting.

Fernpaw could feel the spark of energy coming from her clan mates as the rumor of her mother in labor spread like fire. The brown she-cat padded lightly with quick steps towards the den. She was determined to be there for Littlebird. She would keep a watchful eye out for another brown cat who would likely be creeping in the shadows aware of her mothers pain. "Mom?" she spoke into the den.
Skipstep had hurried out the moment Littlebird had spoken to him, the tom nodding quickly. He slipped out of the den and spotted his sister washing herself. "Jetclaw! Can you find Twilightbell? Littlebird is kitting!" Jetclaw's eyes lit up. She nodded quickly. "of course! I'll get right on it!" She purred bolting to go look for Twilightbell while Skipstep hurried off to go look for Mountainsound.
He found the former healer quickly enough. "Mountainsound! Littlebird is having her kits!" he said skidding to a halt behind her.
The grey she-cat's whiskers twitched in amusement went fleeing out of the den like his tail was on fire. She couldn't remember the last time she had seen him run that quickly, and his panic he hadn't been very subtle in getting the medicine cat. She could hear him talking to JetClaw from her nest, and there was little doubt that a few other had over heard him as well. So much for keeping the news quiet...
"Come in" she called softly after hearing her daughters voice . She shifted to her other side uncomfortably in her nest, trying to ease the pressure in her side. The contractions were still a few minutes apart, and she had time before her labor would intensify She took a deep breathe, forcing herself to remain calm. She had seen many she-cat give birth, but her own experience last time was still fresh in her mind.
There was a very real possability that she could die. She hoped for the best, but giving birth was always a risk, no matter the circumstances. The fact that she had almost bled out last time meant that she had to take extra precautions. She had been making herself rest more towards the end of her pregnancy, eating well, and taking strengthening herbs. The rest was up to fate and the Sun God's grace.

"Are you okay?" Fernpaw asked tentatively as she stepped farther into Littlebird's den and curled up in the far corner of the den behind her mothers nest. "Does it hurt?" she wondered what her father, Leatherfern was doing right now. Feeling Littlebirds pain and fighting every instinct to rescue her. She bent her neck to rasp her tongue over littlebirds gray ears.
"A little" she admitted nuzzle up against her daughters cheek "although it will be a while before the pain really starts, right now its more just pressure. Right now my body is just preparing itself for what is to come"
She winced slightly as another contraction made it's way through her body, but as it passed she was able to relax once more "I don't want you to feel like you have to stay. Giving birth isn't pretty, and you shouldn't have to experience this until you are ready.I won't be alone, and I know that watching this might be difficult for you" she paused pressing her nose up against her daughter's forehead "but I also won't ask you to leave"

"No I will stay. Better to learn before I have to do it myself." she joked with a small chuckle of uneasiness. "Plus if I can help I will try. If not just for comfort." She purred against her mothers touch.
With Mountainsound now informed, Skipstep waved his tail eagerly. "Come as quick as you can!" He told the she cat before he hurried back to be with Littlebird.
He ran up to the priestess promised's den catching a few curious eyes before he slowed down and poked his head back in. "Mountainsound has been informed and she'll be here soon." He spotted Fernpaw beside Littlebird. "Supporting your mother huh? Good on you Fernpaw," He praised before looking at his mate. "Is there anything you need? I can grab somethings real quick before Mountainsound gets here."
Littlebird's nodded, glad to have Fernpaw there of her own free will. She didn't want her to feel uncomfortable, for even some fully grown cats got freaked out at the prospect of giving birth.
She purred leaning up to nudge Skipsteps cheek "yes she is a brave one" she couldn't but feel proud of of Fernpaw for being here. "I should have everything that we may need already here. After last time.... myself and Mountainsound having been preparing for several different scenarios" Herbs had other supplies had already been gathered in advance, and she had made it a point to stay near by in case she had went into labor early. They had also had several conversations, about her wishes and what to do if things started to go badly. From who to save first, to how to pick the next promised should she perish.
The contractions were already starting to become more intense, by the time Skipstep had returned. It was getting closer, but everything seemed to be progressing at a much more normal pace compared to next time. She squeezed her eyes close, a little groan escaping her lips.

Fernpaw resisted the natural urge to whimper along with Littlebirds moan. But she choked it down and continued to run her tongue over her mothers ears. She had heard stories of her lost siblings and the toll the birthing had taken on her mother last time. Considering what a large kit Lionpaw was she wasn't surprised. She shoved the thoughts of such bad past experiences aside. This would be a good kitting. If not she would personally hunt the Sun god down and demand recompense.
The contraction soon passed, even though it was far more intense than the last, she took in several deep breathes, trying to make herself remain calm despite the doubt and fear that was trying to take over. This wouldn't be like last time, she was determined and she had her family here to support her through this.
The next wave left her gritting er teeth, as she allowed her claws to emerge from their sheathes and dig into the soft moss of her nest. It left her mind feeling muddled, and feeling out of breath "The first one is coming" she managed to stammer between the contractions to skipstep. Where was mountainsound? The thought was caught off another ripple made it's way down her side eliciting a moan "You' need to...." she stopped as the first of the kits emerged
Skipstep shared his mates concerns. Where was Mountainsound?
But seeing as the healer wasn't coming, he moved to Littlebird's side immediately as the first kit emerged. "Just tell me what to do." He said uncertainly bending down to inspect the bundle, grabbing it by the tiny scruff and gently nudging it away from Littlebird. "I think it needs to be licked right?" He'd seen Rubyflame's forced kitting, and a few others but he hadn't had a huge level of involvement.
Still there was nothing for it. He began to lick the kit and rub it gently trying to get it dry and start getting it to breathe and mew.
Flamekit perked her ears watching the queen giving birth to kits from her nest is that where kits come from she thought her eyes wide and huge ''I-is she going to be okay?'' she asked
"Clear the air way" she managed to stutter out, as worry gnawed at her not hearing the young kits cries immediatly, but after a few moments the shrill squeaks of the newborn reached her ears. Her vision blurred as another contraction rippled through her, but this time a little intense. As it passed she leaned down and pressed her nose against the little one nosing it to her side so that it could begin nursing
