Osiriskit stretched out next to the mouth of the nursery, quickly becoming content in her new home. It didn't matter where they came from, only that they were here right here, right now. Life here was like a dream, and she appreciated it more than she could say. Knowing her siblings would soon be out to cause some trouble, she closed her eyes. In either worry or anticipation, no one could tell.
From the shadows lurking around the outskirts of the nursery, a fierce, bloodthirsty predator stalked its prey — eerie blue eyes glowing in the darkness, black pelt blending into the gloom like liquid shadows, the prince of death himself. With a low little kit-growl, Kelpiekit launched himself into the light, soaring over his sister and landing on the earth beside her; he rolled over and over before thudding into the wall of the nursery and collapsing on the ground, sprawled out at her side.
“Morning, sis,” he purred, stretching out his forepaws and kneading at her side with half-unsheathed claws and a wicked little grin. “Have you seen the superior sister of our litter? I lost her, which means I lost myself, which means life isn’t worth living anymore and I’m planning to impale myself later today. Wanna join me? There’ll be plenty of blood.”
Manticorekit was the only one of the litter who probably wouldn't be looking for trouble, if probably meant definitely, meant he would try t avoid trouble like the plague. It made his body tremble, the mischeif that his siblings always seemed to want to get into. It was always a bad idea. Yet, he was the next one to come over to his siblings. He sort of wished that he could have stayed in the safety of the his little sleeping corner his who life, probably, but it didn't seem possible. So, out he went, as trembly as always.
"O-osiriskit," he greeted as he padded nervously over to her. The tomkit was as afraid of his siblings as he was of his own shadow, but he figured that it was safest to stay around them instead of talking to the other nursery kittens. He then looked over to Kelpiekit, a shudder running across his spine. He knew that he was not his brother's favorite, and Kelpiekit and Selkiekit were the most extreme of the litter in his eyes. "M-maybe don't d-do that."

"Ah, Kelpiekit, g'morning. Well you're looking at her. So don't talk of that yet." They were an eccentric bunch, no doubt. Especially Kelpiekit and Selkiekit. But they were the only siblings Osiriskit would ever have, and she cared for all of them so much. Maybe too much. Mischief wasn't always at the forefront of her mind, any time spent with them was nice, "If you mean your twin, then I have no idea. Check the shadows from where you came, that'd be my best bet." Despite her cool and relaxed demeanor, she got along well with all her siblings, at least she thought so.
Giving Manticorekit a gentle smile, "Morning Manticorekit. Sleep well?" She tilted her head, squinting some as she adjusted the leaf on her head to block the sun.
Kelpiekit’s ears pricked up when his brother wandered over. He let out a purring little growl and leaped to his paws, dragging his paws lazily over to Manticorekit and draping himself over the runt. “You worry too much,” he purred, pressing his cheek against his brother and smooshing their faces together with a big, sharp grin, hard enough to hurt. “Lighten up and maybe we’ll let you be more than bait on our adventures.”
He glanced back at Osiriskit with a thin smile and moved some of his weight off his brother, ruffling his paw harshly between Manticorekit’s ears like they’d just been having a bit of harmless fun; he didn’t like getting in trouble with his sister — it always happened, and he was always in trouble with everyone else, but he could handle that, enjoy it even; he just hated Osiriskit’s scorn, that really stung. “You sound like a politician,” he replied affectionately.
Rudely awaken by the chit-chat of his fellow denmates, Venuskit opened his large eyes, narrowing them. They hurt his ears! He folded them with his paw, trying to block out the sounds. “Not loud!” He hissed, squeezing his eyes shut. Why did the sun have to be so bright on his eyes? He slowly uncovered his ears, lifting his head to see the other kits. He stretched, yawned, and sat up, blinking his sleepy eyes. After his morning grooming, he crawled out of the nest. Being a y’all, long-legged tom-kit, Venuskit basically towered over the others. “The flowers are pretty today.” He said, having nothing else to say.
Kelpiekit grinned wickedly at Venuskit’s outburst, covering his mouth with his paw and giving a look to his siblings like ooh, sis, he done-did got us. “Not loud,” he echoed in a hiss, smile hooked and a little nasty. The other kit always thought the flowers looked pretty. Raising his voice, and still draped over his little pipsqueak brother, he called, “hey, Venus, wanna find some bugs with me and drown ‘em?”
He eyed each of the other kits, a nervousness creeping upon him. He hissed as Kelpiekit raised his voice again. “Not loud!” He eyed the other tom, his expression turning confused. Drown them? Was that a good thing? Kelpiekit was smiling, smiling meant happy, yeah? But they needed the bugs. Venuskit shook his head, lightly stepping around the other kits and out of the nursery. Plants. He needed his plants! Near the medicine-cats den was a little pool of water, so he headed that way and got a big mouthful. Waving his tail, the tom-kit ran excitedly behind the nursery and immediately started to water the flowers by pouring some of the water on top of them. He didn’t need too much, there were only a few plants, and now they were healthy! Happy plants meant happy Venuskit.
Kelpiekit raised his paw in surrender, quirking his eyebrows and bowing his head submissively. “Not loud,” he repeated in lieu of an apology, shooting a crooked half-grin at his siblings. When Venuskit left the nursery, Kelpiekit glanced between him and his siblings, letting out an indecisive “uhhh”, before scrabbling up and racing after the other kit. He found him toddling over to his garden with a big mouthful of water, his cheeks bulging. Kelpiekit loped along beside him, ducking from side to side and examining his face like he was an unknown creature.
When Venuskit began to water his plants, he eyed the garden uncertainly and sniffed around a bit before flopping down nearby and batting at a flower with one paw. He’d been here once before but the plants had grown a lot since then. “What are you gonna do when they’re big enough, huh? You gonna rip ‘em out?” He perked up excitedly. “Ooh, can I help?”
Panic pricked his pelt as Kelpiekit began to touch—to hurt—his plant. “No!” He said suddenly, his fur lifting. In one swift motion he was in front of Kelpiekit and pushing him back roughly. Barely paying any attention to the others question, Venuskit sat straight for a moment, lost in his thoughts even though they seemed to be empty. Why did Kelpiekit have to follow him? He felt down, a strange feeling of sadness and anger swirling in his stomach. He had no way else to deal with it, so he hissed and scratched at the ground just beside his garden, making sure not to hurt his beloved plants.

"Okay, let's take it down a notch, huh? It's too early for squabbles." Osiriskit walked over to the two, standing next to Kelpiekit, her voice as sing song and calming as ever, "They're not fully grown yet, so I doubt Venuskit needs your help yet." She pressed against Kelpiekit's side gently, not one to be aware of someone else's bubble. She could offer Kelpiekit to pull weeds, but he wouldn't go for that.
"Let's see. You wanna sneak out?" She whispered to Kelpie, a mischievous glint in the aloof cats eyes.
He had been quiet for a long moment, watching the interaction between the other kittens nervously. When he over heard his sister's whisper, though the quietness changed, and he let out a soft yelp. "No, no no. I don't t-think we should d-do that!" he responded immediately, his eyes wide. What did they think they would gain out of sneaking out, other than a thorn in their foot and a thick whacking by the queens upon their return?

"What's the harm, Manticorekit?" Osiriskit tilted her head, her tone as calm as ever, "It's not like we're unfamiliar with what's out there. And even I'm getting tired of being caged in here all day. You shouldn't be so scared of life, otherwise you'll be trapped here for all of it."
“We - we aren’t supposed to!” Sure, they had grown up outside the walls of this camp, but it as dangerous out there. Why couldn’t they just stay where it was safe ? He nervously shifted his weight between paws, eyes narrowing. “We don’t wanna get in trouble ! What if they kick us out because we didn’t follow their rules?” His eyes widened even further at the idea. What would he do if he has to go back to the big scary outdoors!
