Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Her gaze was almost hollow, staring out at the rest of the den while focusing on nothing in particular. The cage beside her had rumbled with growls and threats on her life almost since the moment they were placed beside each other. She never expected a 'reunion' with her brother would be in a place like this. She had grown numb to his words long before he was moved. Twolegs must've gotten tired of his constant growling. She knew she sure had.
The DayClan warrior's pelt itched with whatever these Twolegs had already done to her - nothing seemed different yet, but she could see and hear cats that weren't quite the same any more - but she ignored the sensation. She wanted out, but as far as she could tell there was no way. At least, not for her. And so she waited, hoping the Clans would find them and set them free sooner rather than later. She tapped the claws of one paw absently against the floor of her own cage, meowing to no one in particular, "I wonder how long we'll be stuck here." A tiny voice that used to once always dominate the ruddy-brown she-cat's mind added in, 'I wonder if we'll be dead first.' Who knew what these twisted Twolegs really wanted with all of them anyways.
Autumngossamer watched the traitor from the other side of her, maybe she'd be more in spirit if her paws didn't hurt so bad. She couldn't even stand up at this point and was lying on her side, probably looking dead, she considered that if she acted dead or weak enough that maybe they'd toss her out. The drumming of Twistedecho's paws were driving her out of her head though, but she could hardly be bothered to turn her head to yell at her so instead she just let out a pained groan. She missed Lovesmitten, they were just growing together and now they were a part. Everything about this sucked tail.
"Hey, can you please stop with the tappity tap tap," Autumngossamer begged Twistedecho. She still remained limp in her cage, but this time lifted her head just a little. Weirdly in the moment it didn't seem to matter much that Twistedecho was a traitor, that was sort of the effect being to weak to move had, it was hard to care about anything.
For a moment Twistedecho actually did stop, her paw held a whisker above the floor of her cage. An ear twitched in response and she turned her head halfway towards the speaker to glance at her from the corner of her eye. "Autumngossamer," she meowed, taking mental note of the she-cat's presence. She had neglected to notice anyone around her besides Deadringer and was a little surprised that she was still near another SunClan cat. She just wanted out, though. She didn't really care who was in a cage besides her that much, though she braced herself after her sort of half-greeting. She waited a moment, expecting the same threats of death from the younger she-cat. But as a moment passed and then another with no such thing coming she continued on. There was one more series of taps as she put her paw back down, draping it across her other leg, but she didn't do it again, turning her head to fully face the SunClan she-cat.
"How long have you been here?" she asked, tilting her head and perking one ear as though she expected to hear any sounds out of the ordinary. Or at least, as out of the ordinary as a sound could be in a Twoleg's nest. "It can't have been long. SunClan loves their precious Janus too much. At least, most of the time they do." She was clearly referring to her own situation with her last comment - she was still surprised she hadn't found herself constantly hunted by cats that had once been her peers - and under normal circumstances she might've kept the statement to herself. But with the unusual and, honestly, quite stressful circumstances paired with Autumngossamer's apparent apathy she frankly didn't care.
"Long enough to give up on getting out," Autumngossamer mewed, her white chin rested at the bottom of the crate, "They can do what they want to us and no one's been able to fight back. I saw one cat try to run and she got out, but they found her, probably thanks to the collars. All I've seen is more cats come in and no one leave. It's a hopeless situation, I worry that they'll take over the Forest Clans and they'll be forced to move or... Or fall a part."
Autumngossamer rolled over to face Twistedecho whimpering despite biting her tongue not too. Everything hurt, her paws the most, but her entire body tingled. Everything felt loud and over powering. Even keeping her eyes open the room felt too bright and the smells too overwhelming. She felt like dying and possibly the only thing keep herself together was how far she came in life and how she couldn't be a sissy and let this stop her. If she even went soft on herself for a moment she'd give up the will to live, she knew it. Someday she'd get out of here and she'd live the best life with Lovesmitten and maybe a kitten or two, but that was her max! Maybe a boy and a girl, that would be nice, she'd name the girl Ginger or Jasmine, something pretty, maybe if she named the tom he'd be named Beck. She was drifting off in her thoughts now before catching Twistedecho's stare, "If you want to hear how that one cat got out they bring her in late at night to test her and leave her in the room for observation. You can ask her how she did it then."
