Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Lemonburst stumbled back in from his evening hunting trip, having the presence of mind to toss his fresh-kill on the pile before flopping down onto the ground and sighing. Things had been different in FallClan; back there, he'd been a fairly respected warrior, if not a bit lonely at times. Now, his brother had made sure that he was never lonely - and by that, he meant that he made sure that Lemonburst never had a moment's peace and quiet - but there was an almost-tangible lack of trust surrounding the former FallClan warrior, meaning that Lemonburst had to work twice, or even thrice as hard as a regular SpringClan warrior just to gain some respect. He sighed and rose on unsteady paws, wondering if he could go out hunting again and be able to make it back before the moon had risen completely.
"That sigh makes you sound much older than you look," Needleclaw grumbled to the unfamiliar cat who had just added to the fresh-kill pile. "Planning on heading out again? I could go for a stretch myself," he admitted.
Although Needleclaw had already been hunting by himself earlier, he had vowed to himself to meet some new cats. Hunting may not find him any life long friends, but it was certainly a good place to start. Besides, he had noticed how troubled the other cat looked, and it made him feel as though maybe he wasn't the only cat in the clan who needed someone to chat with.
"Hm?" Lemonburst murmured, lifting his head slightly to peer at Needleclaw curiously. It was pretty rare that the tom got approached by a fellow warrior these days, so he was grateful that Needleclaw had struck up a conversation with him - even if he was too awkward to truly express it.
"Yeah, I probably will," he nodded, glancing toward the camp exit briefly. "...Wanna come? I usually hunt alone, but sometimes it's nice to..." he trailed off, feeling a lump begin to form in his throat. "Or not, you don't have to if you don't want to."
"Well I mean, uh, yeah... If you want the company I mean. If you want the alone time I completely understand, I like alone time myself... but I would like to come... If you want..." Needleclaw trailed off awkwardly. He twitched his tail in annoyance at his lack of forwardness. Maybe if he had asked the cat more confidently he would know what to do. Now he was stuck in an unsure state, did the unfamiliar looking cat want him to join or not?
He took one step forward, glanced towards the exit, then hesitated and met Lemonburst's eyes.
Lemonburst hesitated for a second. Needleclaw was right in that he did like his alone time, but he'd had quite enough of that during his stay with SpringClan so far. "Yeah, it's fine," he nodded, squaring his shoulders. "I was the one who offered, after all. Might even be fun to have someone come along for once...Though I have to warn you, I'm not that great at making conversation."
