Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The deputy blinked his eyes. Deputy, he was the deputy. He wasn't quite used to the title yet, which was pretty much how he assumed Doestar had been feeling about his title as leader. He assumed it would at least take him a few days to get used to it, which was probably a few days more than it should take him. Wouldn't the true SummerClan deputy be proud and automatically be adjusted to the fact that he was deputy, accepting the paws of fate? Probably, which meant the tom was probably not the right choice, but ey, fake it until you make it, right?
He let out a sigh, before padding over to the apprentice den. This interaction had been planned before Doestar woke him up in the middle of the night to ask him to be the deputy. The details of how this planned interaction came about were hazy; it was equal parts Odysseyfright pestering the leader to let him take out his apprentice and Doestar wanting Quillpaw to have some other patrol experience outside of with him. At least, that's what Odysseyfright had told himself when he got his friend to say yes. He could understand hesitation letting him take out an apprentice, after all, he had let Doestar know some of the adventures he took the younger cats on, but it would be fun. Plus, it was a good way to get closer to the cats Doestar cared about.
"Heyyo, Quillpaw, time to go," he called into the den, his voice still a litle tired from the night before. He had warned the apprentice at dusk the day before that he would be there, bright and early, for an adventure. Luckily for Quillpaw, the midnight chat he had the night before meant that the tom slept in until far past dawn, so at least the apprentice got to sleep in. "You ready?"
