Lastaffair wasn't a cat who hung around the area often. SunClan was irritating, and with her mother gone, she finally had a chance to do all the thing she wanted. Besides, Littlebird couldn't assign her to patrols if the Promised didn't know where she was. It would likely come back to bite her soon enough, but at least for now she was enjoying her freedom. She waltzed across the border just at dawn, knowing it would be a while before the clan finished breakfast and came to find her. A few might have slipped away before then, but the chances of them finding her, let alone being able to bring her back to camp, where low. So, she took the chance, heading off into rogue lands before she had a chance to be seen.
Lionpaw watched as Lastaffair slipped her way out of camp. This wasn't the first time he had observed her wiggeling her way out off patrols, and his mother had been wanting to speak with her.
Instead of finishing his meal, he pushed it away and decided to follow the she-cat to see where she was headed. He tried to be quiet, but his lack of experience clearly showed as they entered into rogue lands. In the unfamiliar terrain he struggled to keep up, much less remain undetected.
"Your mentor is terrible. Have you been taught nothing about stealth?" Lastaffair's comment was conversational, calling out the tom though she didn't bother to look back. "Why are you following me anyway? You really should be doing some training to actually hone those skills of yours. You could really use it."
"Fine you caught me" he shrugged, emerging from his poorly disguised hiding spot. Burrs clung to his long ruffled pelt that was sticking out in all directions
"Honestly I just wanted to find out where you were going. Mom said you have been skipping out on patrols lately, so I figured that if I followed you I could find out" he didn't seem bothered by her comment, knowing that most of his training thus far had been simple apprentices duties such as cleaning out nests and a few minor hunting lessons that he had hated thus far. It didn't help that his paws were huge, and he hadn't quite grown into them yet.
