Brilliance-kun was an Internal Affairs trainee. The only one, in fact. The more helpful types bombarded her, always willing to help her learn new techniques and the like. Granted, those were far and few, most didn't give her a second glance. Today she found herself doing solo training. Normally, she'd spend her time running a ditch through the manor keeping an eye on the others. Or trying to find new secret passages and the like. Today, however, she was off around the back of the greenhouse, up in one of the many trees. No one was up here to see her yawning, so she let one out. She had been spending a lot of time getting to where she could follow someone seamlessly above them. Passing from one branch to another, the forest was quiet except the occasional birdsong. She imagined her target, walking and talking to someone at a slow pace. Quietly, she followed, the only indication of her presence was the occasional leaf falling off the branches. But it was summer, and there were few that did. It was going well, until she heard a snap behind her. Pausing, she looked back, expecting it to be another branch that snapped under her.
